mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-gurun dina tāriṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram

Jayapatākā Swami: Yesterday we had four disciples receiving Bhaktivedanta degree. I hope you are all going to read Bhakti-vaibhava and Bhaktivedanta. In our heart we have to have firmly established this faith, through the knowledge of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. So Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is all about Kṛṣṇa. That develops our faith. Actually, what is Kṛṣṇa, who is He, how is He like? He is really like that. I saw one movie, someone took a medicine and he became very intelligent. And so, there was something that gave him a lot of different facilities. But Kṛṣṇa doesn’t take a pill and become like that. He is like that always! And we should know that that is revealed in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.

Question: When we have laulyam or greediness for service and it is ever increasing, is there a limit to this? Do we need to keep it in control, or can we desire to have greediness for more mercy? Please enlighten us.

Jayapatākā Swami: In the śāstra it says that there is no limit. Of course, a bird can fly into the sky according to his capacity. But if you have laulyam, if you have love of Godhead, that can grow and that can be more and more.

Question: Today, is the disappearance day of Śrīla Jagannātha dāsa Bābājī and Rasikānanda Prabhu. How to observe such days nicely?

Jayapatākā Swami: You can mention something about these great ācāryas. Today I was told that it is also the disappearance day of His Holiness Tamāla Kṛṣṇa Goswami. I did not know about the other ācāryas. I sent an audio message to the disciples of His Holiness Tamāla Kṛṣṇa Goswami Mahārāja. The person who gives the class, they can mention the personalities that appeared or disappeared on that day. Say a few words and thus people can remember them and be blessed.

Tomorrow are you all going on parikramā? So we have different groups – Bengali, usually three or four groups. Then we have international group or people from all over the world, then we have I don’t know, Russian group? No? Ukranian group? Ha! They all can come under the international group. We have south Indian group this year? Yes! Clubbed in the international group. South Indian International group gets dosas, idlis, etc. The international group will take the austerity and eat dosas! And where are the Khasadeśa devotees? They are also clubbed with the international group. So the Hindi group? Bahut accha! (Very good!) I am trying to go sometimes but I think I will send my message to each group. Because I can see, I can participate in every parikramā.

Kṛṣṇe matir ruhu!

No class tomorrow, I will be in parikramā!
