20111001 Arrival Address

Following is an arrival address given by H.H. Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on October 1st 2011 in Bangalore, India.

Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare

oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya

Jaya Jagannātha jaya Baladeva jaya Subhadrā

Nitāi Gaura-haribol! Haribol! Haribol! Haribol!

Jayapatākā Swami: I am sorry that I cannot speak loud. So I just have to say at this voice and he will repeat. I am very happy to see all of you. I am very happy to be here in Bangalore for 5 days more or less. [Laughter]

In Tirupati, I underwent some āyurvedic therapies, also some physiotherapy, some speech therapy, some eye therapy and so on. [Laughter]

So while speaking I want a microphone, they told me its two and half hours from the doctor’s office to Bangalore. We left at two, so I should have been here by 4:30 now you can see the time.

The purpose of human life is to serve Kṛṣṇa and to learn the process of bhakti-yoga, that’s the only way we can get Kṛṣṇa’s associatioṇ. Through the jñāna-yoga, you get impersonal Brahman, through the haṭha-yoga or aṣṭāṅga-yoga, you can get Paramātmā. By the process of bhakti-yoga, you become very dear to Kṛṣṇa. So Lord Caitanya, He predicted that every town and village in the whole world His names will be sung. So Śrīla Prabhupāda took out this mission. We are all grateful that you all are co-operatively working together, to fulfil Śrīla Prabhupāda’s dream. [Haribol]

I am always inspired to hear how so many people in Bangalore are joining the Bhakti Vṛkṣaś and visiting different temples.

Well, as they say one should not just hear they should see it. I have come here to see it. [Haribol]

I don’t see any enthusiasm. [Haribol]

I was just kidding. I want to spend time by associating with all devoteeṣ. [Haribol]

But I should still continue my therapies. [Laughter]

I think every day there is a different group taking care of my personal services, we are very grateful to that.

In Māyāpur there are people from all over the world, so there I eat Bengali, South Indian, Italian. So I would like to taste here whatever you are excellent in making. I have a very limited diet with so much grain, so much salt, pulses But subjisand salad. I am limited.

So anyway Lord Caitanya has made it very easy for us all. By His mercy, by Nitāi’s mercy, even those evil people who did not want to be Kṛṣṇa conscious they got the mercy, like Jagāi and Mādhāi, at their samādhis, they show how they would go to the Gaṅgā every day, chanting with karatālas and crying in bliss. You are all pious people, so it is very easy for you to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. We want you to spread this to others. Let them get the mercy of Lord Caitanya now! haribol!

Śrīla Jayapatākā Swami Guru Mahārāja ki! Jaya!

Guru Mahārāja has offered a special blessing to the city of Bangalore. We have kept track, at least three times in last one year he has has said, everyone in the city of Bangalore should become devotee and should be known as ISKCON city.

We have noticed that the last three times that Guru Mahārāja spoke here, he has mentioned this. So we’re very grateful. So we will sit with him and understand how we can make this happen in this lifetime.
