Hari Oṁ Tat Sat.
Welcome the Saturday love feast [Haribol] This Saturday love feast was started by Śrīla Prabhupāda. It was love for all people. He was concerned that people all over the world were burning in the fire of illusion. So, he brought the message to the West. Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted all his disciples to preach in the East. Like Mahavishnu Swami, Prabhāviṣṇu Prabhu, and I am one of those. He wanted to see that people were chanting far and wide.
Here in Nepal chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa Mantra is a well-practiced sādhana. I met a person who said that he was chanting for 26 years. He asked me a question. “Why am I not feeling any ecstasy? I have been chanting for 26 years. I don’t feel ecstasy.” I asked to chant the names of Lord Caitanya. He said, “No, I am from another sampradāya.” I asked him, “Try chanting this Panchatatva Mātra before chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa Mantra.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Prabhu Nityānanda
Sriadvaita Gadādhara Śrīvāsādi Gaura Bhakta Vrinda
So he took the mantra and he said he will try it. Three months later he came to the same place. From a distance he saw me. The same person. He came running after me. He paid his prostrate sanstanga dandavata. He said, “What mantra you gave me. What mantra you gave me. I feel so much ecstasy.”
Gaurāṅga....................... Gaurāṅga [everyone]
Nityānanda.......................Nityānanda [everyone]
It is very hard to worship Kṛṣṇa because we make so many offences.
Nitāi and Caitanya, they don’t easily accept offences. They don’t see who is qualified and who is not qualified. They give out the mercy freely. There is no avatāra so merciful. All over the world, all over the universe, you won’t find anyone as merciful as Śrī Caitanya and Śrī Nityānanda. They have given us the Hare Kṛṣṇa Mantra to chant. We want to chant on the order of Lord Caitanya, and we want to be free of offences.
The Lord comes in three yugas. He tells that I am Bhagavān in the three yuga’s. But in Kali Yuga he doesn’t say that I am Bhagavān. And in the śāstras the symptoms have been given, and that he will perform some special activities.
In the 11th canto of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, it is predicted that Kṛṣṇa, He will come but he will not be in blackish in colour. He comes with His expansions, the devotees, to expand the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahāmantra. Those who are intelligent will follow Him.
kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇaṁ
sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam
yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair
yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ
Those who in Nepal are intelligent will chant in the sankirtan of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Nepal is a very special place. Here Janakaraj and Sītā Devī lived. Kṛṣṇa came here. He visited a rich king and a poor brāhman. Uddhavā was also born here. We are very happy that the devotees are chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa.
You will certainly get the Visa to go back to Godhead. [Haribol]
Many great souls come to the Himalaya’s. Some of them come down to participate in the Kumbha Melā.
Lord Caitanya was a small boy. He had childhood pastimes similar to Kṛṣṇa. His devotee Murāri Gupta was teaching Patañjali Yoga system, and Lord Caitanya was two to three years old. Nimāi didn’t like his pure devotees to do other things other than Bhakti yoga.
Since He was acting like an ordinary child, He to get to the point of exposing Himself. So He started to mimick Murāri Gupta. Murāri Gupta was teaching to do Prāṇāyāma, breathe in one nostril and breathe out the other. So Lord Caitanya, He started to say in child’s voice, “Do prāṇāyāma. Hold your nose. Breathe in through on nose, breathe out through other.” (laughter)
Sing it Sing it. (laughter)
Everybody started looking at Lord Caitanya. They started laughing. The seriousness of the class was lost.
Murāri Gupta said, “Who is this child? Who are his friends? Why is He acting like this?”
Lord Caitanya said, “You are interrupting your bhakti. So, I am going to interrupt your lunch.” Then Lord Caitanya went off. He went to His house. He dressed up just like Kṛṣṇa wearing ankle bells, put kajal on His eyes, put a coloured a red coloured sash on His waist, yellow dhotī, put a flute on his waist, wore a turban, put on a peacock feather. Then He walked back to the house of Murāri Gupta. Murāri Gupta was eating his meal. Lord Caitanya stood up on the doorway. There was a voice that sounded like thunder, “Muraaari Guptaaa” Murāri Gupta coughed up his rice. (laughter) Stood up and went to the doorway. Saw this young boy Nimāi.
He told Murāri Gupta, “You have interrupted your devotional service. You are teaching asthanga yoga. So, I have interrupted your lunch. So don’t interrupt your bhakti again.” Then He wanked off. Ching ching ching.
Murāri Gupta said, “He is just like Kṛṣṇa. Only difference is that He is yellow in colour.”
To Advaita Gosāi Kṛṣṇa said that He will come down. He said, “Is that Kṛṣṇa Avatar?”
Then he went the house of Jagannath Miśra and Sachi Mata. They were cuddling their baby child, they were hurling him, kissing his face. ...27.20-24....
They did not see Murāri Gupta. Murāri Gupta watched. He was convinced that He was Kṛṣṇa. He fell down and paid his obeisance’s.
Namo brāhmaṇāya devāya go brāhmaṇāya hitāya cha
Jagata Dhitāya Kṛṣṇāya Govindāya namoh namaha
Then he was seen by Sachi and Jagannath. Jagannath Mishra got up and said, “Oh Murāri Gupta, you are the best physician in Nabadwipa. What brings you to this poor brāhman’s house?”
Murāri Gupta decided to do the circumambulation of Jagannāth Mishrā, Sachi Mātā and Nimāi. Jagannāth Mishrā could not understand why he was doing this.
Murāri Gupta grabbed the hand of Jagannāth Mishrā. “You are the most fortunate. Your son is....”
“Ah.... Mummy I am hungry.” Nimāi said.
He censored.
So, Murāri Guptā ran off. Like that there were countless pastimes. Some hundreds we know.
Now time for your lunch. (laughter)
Please chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, help the temple. Whenever you come to temple bring some food or rice or something, some donations.
Chant japa and kīrtan. Read the Bhagavad-gītā, or the first canto of the Bhāgavatam in Nepali.
I am in the process of writing all the twelve cantos. It is for you to read. [Haribol]
