Jayapatākā Swami: I came to the Howrah district Nāmahaṭṭa festival. Actually, in the night I give class upstairs. And many devotees especially attend my class. Now, Lord Caitanya has come to this material world from Goloka Vṛndāvana. Those who have surrendered to Lord Kṛṣṇa, He gave them liberation. But Lord Caitanya is more merciful. No one needs to surrender unto Him, He only wanted people to do Harināma, do saṅkīrtana. Even if people have the material sense gratification, passion and last, let it be but do Harināma. Through Harināma all these passion and lust will go away gradually. And love for Kṛṣṇa will awaken. Haribol! Haribol! Haribol! Experiencing kṛṣṇa-prema is so sweet that we cannot describe it.

All of you who have come from Howrah district or wherever else you have come from, please get the blessings of Lord Caitanya and all of you thus go back to Godhead! This material world there is birth, disease, old age and disease. But in the spiritual world these are not there. Besides that, those who get kṛṣṇa-prema they are even more successful. We desire that the gṛhasthas who are here, husband and wife do service together to Lord Kṛṣṇa. Here, studying the Bhagavad-gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, worship of the Deities, eating kṛṣṇa-prasāda after offering and Nāmahaṭṭa service, all these should be performed. This way your life will be perfected. Caitanya Mahāprabhu said:

bhārata-bhūmite haila manuṣya-janma yāra
janma sārthaka kari' kara para-upakāra
(Cc. Ādi 9.41)

I think all of you here are human beings (manuṣya). Caitanya Mahāprabhu wanted that all of you perfect your lives and then help others. [audio break] stay with worship of Kṛṣṇa. So that our children are Kṛṣṇa conscious [audio break] Now generally people think they are the body. But actually, the scriptures say that we are not this body, we are the soul. The soul is a servant of Kṛṣṇa. Jīvera 'svarūpa' haya-kṛṣṇera 'nitya-dāsa’ [Cc. Madhya 20.108]. That way like in English, they ask how are you? But in Bengali they ask, how is your body? We are the soul and we have a body. But this body will grow old, and die but we will not die. We are eternal spirit souls and will live eternally. The Westerners do not know this. Big big scientists think that there is only one life. We know that in the Bhagavad-gītā it is written – na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin [Bg 2.20]– we will not die, our body will die. The way we take off old clothes and wear new clothes, in the same way, our soul sheds the old body and takes on a new body. If we understand that Kṛṣṇa’s appearance, pastimes are all divine, then we will not he another birth in this material world. These devotees have presented here to get aspiring and shelter. Anyway, I have come to tell you that all of you do service to Lord Kṛṣṇa.
