20221029 Glorification of Śrīla Prabhupāda on His Disappearance Day

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
hariḥ oṁ tat sat

Jayapatākā Swami: Śrīla Prabhupāda by your causeless mercy we are here today. You said that if you left your body in Vṛndāvana, there would be a samadhi there and here would be a puṣpa-samādhi. And if you left your body here in Māyāpur, here would be your samādhi and a puṣpa-samādhi in Vṛndāvana. So, you said everything was arranged for you to go to Māyāpur and three Mercedes Benz’ were arranged. All those vehicles failed to start for some reason. And you said, Well, it is Kṛṣṇa’s arrangement, he wants me to stay here. So all the devotees in Māyāpur were waiting but it was planned differently by Kṛṣṇa.

I was listening to your lecture on your Vyāsa-pūjā in London. And there you had mentioned how your Godbrother sannyāsī had gone to London but he failed, and you had sent three gṛhastha couples and they were successful. So, you said that you want all your gṛhastha followers to be paramahaṁsas. So, we pray for your mercy that this vision can be realized. In Māyāpur now we have about 7,000 gṛhasthas. And 500 or so brahmacārīs and sannyāsīs. So we hope that all will become pure devotees, paramahaṁsas, mahā-bhāgavatas, by your mercy. You had this desire that your dear devotees should reach the highest level of bhakti-yoga.

And here in Māyāpur, in 1975 you mentioned how you would like that there be 1,000, 10,000, 1 lakh, 10 lakhs, 1 crore ācāryas! In this way, in every town and village there would be no shortage of preachers.

So when you went to the West and you established the International Society for Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, then you saw that this will be an international society with branches all over the world. You saw that everywhere in the world, there would be devotees! So your darśana, your vision was transcendental. And everything was coming true. So we pray for your mercy and all glories to Your Divine Grace! Hare Kṛṣṇa!
