20221103 Addressing Bhadra Pūrṇimā/ December Month Book Distribution Marathon

The following is a Bhādra Pūrṇimā Awards Address given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on November 3rd,2022 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Jayapatākā Swami: Those who have taken saṅkalpa, vow, I give them special blessings. Kṛṣṇe matir astu! I was listening to a lecture that Śrīla Prabhupāda gave in London, on his Vyāsa-pūjā. We see here, most of these devotees are brahmacārīs, some are gṛhasthas. And of course, some sannyāsīs! But Śrīla Prabhupāda was saying in this lecture that his gurudeva had sent a sannyāsī to London, but he was not successful. And Śrīla Prabhupāda said that he had sent three gṛhastha couples. They were very successful. So in that lecture, he said, “I want all my gṛhastha followers to be paramahaṁsas.” Here in Māyāpur, there are a lot of brahmacārīs who have taken vows that they will distribute books. And we have some gṛhasthas, they have also taken vows and many were watching. But you should all also take a mental vow that you will distribute books and do that. There is bar to anyone to distribute books, everyone can distribute these books. One, five, thousand, as many as you can do. I saw His Holiness Bhakti Vijaya Bhāgavata Swami has a team and in that team he has about 30 devotees. Most of them are gṛhasthas and they are distributing books. I hope that Māyāpur’s goal will be to spread the teachings of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu throughout the whole world. Now, Māyāpur is distributing a lot of books in India and in the whole world. Everyone should think how they will distribute the books and increase the book distribution. I heard that His Holiness Bhakti Cāru Swami Mahārāja’s disciples, they are taking so much initiatives and enthusiasm and distributing the books. I noticed that many of my disciples have also taken the saṅkalpa. I am praying and hoping that they will all have the blessings of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, Śrī Śrī Gaura-Nitāi and Pañca-tattva!
