Jayapatākā Swami: So I am very happy to be visiting the Sīmantadvīpa again. Mathurādeśa is always doing very wonderful preaching, wonderful outreach. We are trying to see how to care for all the devotees in Mathurādeśa. But I am very glad that you are taking care of the devotees through the Bhakti-vṛkṣa program.
Human life is meant actually to solve the real problems of life – birth, death, old age, and disease. To transfer back to the spiritual world and serve Kṛṣṇa eternally there. Either Kṛṣṇa in His original form or His expansions like Lord Rāma or other Nārāyaṇas. From the Bhāgavata Purāṇa we can understand the characteristics of Lord Kṛṣṇa, to some extent. Actually, He is unlimited. Here we have in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 18,000 verses. I heard that in the higher planets they have a Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam with 100,000 verses. So, it is very important that we should study the Bhagavad-gītā, the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. And we also try to get people to serve Kṛṣṇa. We see how dear Prahlāda Mahārāja was to Kṛṣṇa. He was a goṣṭhyānandī. He tried to increase the number of devotees even though he had so many obstacles. His father was a great demon. His father did not appreciate his outreach, so he tried to have him kill. Finally, he decided to kill him, himself. So then Lord Narasiṁhadeva came and saved Prahlāda. He was Bhakta-vatsala. So, like that, Kṛṣṇa will protect you. But this material world is a place of suffering – duḥkhālayam aśāśvatam. We hope that all the devotees will take care to develop their natural love for Lord Kṛṣṇa. Thank you for the outreach and engaging all the people. We hope that many people take up the chanting.
I heard some reports how in India they have Tamil preaching, different preaching they have. Some have 5,000 registrations; some have 9,000 registrations. Some have 10 or 11 thousand in different languages. We hope that your outreach programs will also be highly successful. Since we have many houses to visit, I won’t speak too long here and would like to visit the homes. We are very thankful that the husbands and wives are cooperating together to serve Lord Kṛṣṇa. One of the wives’ name is saha-dharmiṇī, companion in religion. I am very happy that the devotees like this are engaging in Kṛṣṇa’s service. By keeping Kṛṣṇa in the center, that is the natural āśrama situation. Thank you very much. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
