20240718 Evening Darśana

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram

Jayapatākā Swami: I was told that you were all waiting for darśana. And I was thinking I would give a morning class on Saturday and some days I would give class for all of you. You all know I came to Vṛndāvana to establish the lotus feet of Lord Caitanya, but I kind of fell in to a coma and they arranged an ambulance and took me to Delhi. They did a three-day dialysis which was very slow, just to remove all the impurities from my body. Then, I wanted to come back to Māyāpur, but the leaders in Māyāpur expressed their hesitation to have me back. They said to wait till the dialysis machine is alright. So I ended up staying in Delhi for three months and finally when I came here, I came to Kolkata, then came to Māyāpur, they found out that the equipment here was not pure. Then I went back to Kolkata and they found a hospital, which had the right equipment. So then we stayed in Kolkata for a few weeks. It was one week and then two weeks of the Kolkata Ratha-yātrā. I never stayed in the Ratha-yātrā for the whole yātrā in Kolkata before.

I gave stage lecture and saw the Jagannātha Deity, took some prasāda and gave question-and-answer. We wanted to make it a bit easier, so I gave a stage class for thirty minutes and then question and answer from the stage. Then we saw Lord Jagannātha and then went back in my car to where I was staying. One day I was a little sick but otherwise I attended all the pandal programs.

It is very nice to be back in Māyāpur! So, I will give class tomorrow night.
