The following is a public address given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on August 21, 1980 – in Washington D.C, USA.

All these performers who know the meaning of sacrifice become cleansed of sinful reaction. And having tasted the nectar of the remnants of such sacrifice, they go to the supreme eternal atmosphere. All these performers who know the meaning of sacrifice, become cleansed. Become cleansed of all sinful reactions. Of all sinful reactions. And having tasted the nectar of the remnants of the remnants of such sacrifice, they go to the supreme eternal atmosphere. They go to the supreme eternal atmosphere. Purport from the foregoing explanation of different types of sacrifice, namely sacrifice of one’s possessions, study of the Vedas or philosophical doctrines and performance of the yoga system. It is found that the common aim of all is to control the senses. Sense gratification is the root cause of material existence.

Therefore, unless and until one is situated on a platform apart from sense gratification, there is no chance of being elevated to the eternal platform of full knowledge, full bliss and full light. This full platform is in the eternal atmosphere or Brahman atmosphere. All the above mentioned sacrifices help one to become cleansed of the sinful reactions of material existence. And by this advancement in life, one not only becomes happy and opulent in this life, but also at the end he enters into the eternal kingdom of God, either merging into the impersonal Brahman or associating with the supreme personality of Godhead. Kṛṣṇa Nayam Lokostya Ya Gyathya Kutony O best of the Kuru dynasty. Without sacrifice one can never live happily on this planet or in this life. What then of the next? Here sacrifice is mentioned. There’s the sacrifice of sacrificing material possessions and severe austerities.

Take strict vows, practice Eightfold Yoga, study the Vedas, do the breathing exercises fast, giving up the hearing process and the fire of sacrifice. Many different kinds of sacrifice. Kṛṣṇa mentions that of all sacrifices, Yajna Nam Japa Jag y Chanting the holy names is the topmost. Human life is meant for performing sacrifice. RUP and Sanatan were two great prime ministers of the King Hussein Shah. One Prime Minister and one Finance minister, I believe. And they lived in Ramakeli. Ram Khalee is about a six or five hour train ride from Navadrip station to the north in the district of Malda. At that time that was the capital of Bengal. It was known as God Caitanya is known as Gaurav and it’s called Gaurabhumi. Gaura Mandalabhumi. So Gouda capital over a thousand years ago used to be in Navadvip but sometimes it was also in Malda.

So Ram kili is about 2km from goat. And that was where the residents of Rupan Sanatmore, you can say in the suburbs of the capital of the empire of the Maharaj Baja. And Ram Kheli was made into a beautiful replica of Vrindavan by Rūpa and Sanatan. They dug about. Well, now there’s nine, but I understand there was 10. Or possibly there were 10. But Pukurs, that means man made ponds, lakes, Kundas, the two largest are called Rādhā Kunda and Shamakunda, right next to each other. And then around them There are the eight KAs for the other eight principal Sakhis. Seven principal. There are seven or eight there. Alitakunda, Indulaika, Kunda, Shamala Kunda, like that, all the different Gopīs. So Vrinda Kunda. And they were worshiping there their Rādhā Madanamohana deity. The three brothers rup, Sanatam and Anupam. Anupam’s son was Jīva.

I believe that Jīva Goswami had the fortune of having a darshan of Lord Caitanya when he was just a child. When Lord Caitanya took his Sankirtan party there then Rūpa and Sanatan were very eager to see Lord Caitanya. So when they approached Lord Caitanya, they put a straw of grass in their teeth. And in this way they went forward. And from a great distance they offered their obeisances. From a great distance they offered their obeisance. And Lord Caitanya was saying, come on. And they were already humbly coming. And Lord Caitanya said, your humility is breaking my heart. They say we are worldly people, we have already fallen. That Lord Caitanya, he was. You are a great Vaishnavas. Actually the father, of course you know that Ram Lord Caitani embraced them and gave them so many instructions.

Ultimately they left there and joined Lord Chaitanya Vrindavan, the father of Śrīnivas Acharya, one of the great Acharyas in our line. He’s different from Śrīvas Thakur, the Panchatatva. This is third generation. He comes. His father was Chaitanya Das and his mother was also named, I believe was named Lakshmi Priya. If I am not wrong, their home was not very far from Katwa which is where Lord Caitanya took Sannyas. It’s about 1/3 of the way between Navadvip and Ram Khalee. So Caitanya Das, when he was younger, he went up with his guru, who was going up to Ram Kali, and he saw that there was literally a stream of Brahmanas going from Navadvi to Ramakili and going with his guru.

And he went into the private court of Ruben Sanātana, and there he saw that they were surrounded by Brahmanas and they were reading the Brahmanas were reading the Bhāgavatam for Rupam Sanatam, and they were discussing scripture and then Rupan Sanatam. After that Bhāgavatam pat, or class was over, they were giving out profuse charity and hearing everyone what they were saying, what they needed for. And then accordingly, they were giving some charity. And this way all the Brahmanas are going back to Navadva with their booty or with their charity. And Caitanya does understand that the whole Navadvip. How could. In the middle of the Muhammadan kingdom, how is it possible that you had the biggest Hindu center of culture, biggest Vedic center of culture, all the pandits, all the. Well, because Brahmanas, they don’t make any money so much.

They’re mostly into scholastic, into spiritual matters. How are they getting. Where are they getting the, you know, so to speak, to pick from? Where were they getting their donations from? Where were they getting their backing? It was all from Rūpa and Sanātana, basically, Principally, they were at least funding a large part of it. So of course, that’s why when they were coming, and very humbly, Lord Caitanya knew that they were actually great devotees, how long they were practicing. Even though they were in one way they were in a Mohammedan situation, but somehow another, they were still maintaining their support for their Vedic culture in many ways, and for Vaishnavism. So there’s also one form of sacrifice. But then Lord Caitanya, he wanted more sacrifice. Of course they wanted to join him, and he wanted that they should also join.

So this is, of course, that people may be sacrificing in one level, just like people say, well, I am giving to my church, I am doing this, I am doing that. But if the Lord actually calls, then that’s something which is much more important. The Lord Caitanya is actually calling the living entities to come forward and take up the practice of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, to take up the preaching to distribute the mercy of the holy name from house to house. This is more important than any other sacrifice that one could perform, is to take up the personal call of Caitanya Mahāprabhu, either receive personally from him as Rupau Sinatran or as receipt through the disciplic succession. Guru Parampar. The principle of sacrifice for pleasing the supreme is the basic ingredient of all different kinds of sacrifice.

But of all those, this most sublime sacrifice of giving out the mercy of the Lord in the form of his holy name, preaching the glories of the Holy Name, that is something incomparable. We should be very careful. This is the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement that we chant Hare Kṛṣṇa regularly and carefully. Sometimes we say we’re too busy to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, but Śrīla Prabhupāda instructed us that just like somehow or another we’re not too busy to eat, we don’t forget to eat, you see. Really. So similarly we shouldn’t forget to chant. This is food for the soul. If we are a little bit careless in chanting and associating with devotees, then gradually we start to get covered again by dust of material energy and we start to lose our taste. Actually what everyone does in devotional service, one doesn’t lose that.

But if one stops practicing devotional service, then of course one gets stuck up. So to get out of that stuck up position, then one has to very carefully again cleanse away the dust and to get into gradual progress of sacrificing for the sake of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. There’s a big difference we can see between Rūpa Sanatan and ordinary people. They’re actually all along were great devotees. It’s a wonderful place in Ram Kale. Every year in the month of May, Josta Sankranti. Sometimes early in June, it’s the second month of the Bengali year. It’s already. Usually it rains. About 30 to 40,000 people gather there. And it used to be just a straight vaiav mela, but now in the recent about 20 years, the bowels, those are the people that play. The one stringed look like bongo drums with a little bamboo coming out, Acotar.

And they come and they sing. Their songs claimed to be lordship. So the Vaishnavas kind of pushed them out of the actual Rangeli temple. So they built up another camp down the street. But they come there every year, both them. And then the regular devotees come and it’s quite a nice little festival. One year I gave a lecture. 20,000 people were there. And the man before me, he gave a Bhāgavatam lecture for three hours in a row. He had about a whole jar full of ginger with salt on it. Keep going. And when they told him that his time was up, he said, I Was just getting warmed up. I was just getting warmed up. These other people were there. Pretty patient, though, I have to admit. A few more people came. When we came in, they were actually listening.

I mean, at least 5,000 were listening to him three hours straight. And then the crowd swelled to about 20,000 after. He was quite determined to. To lecture. He was. People were listening, must say they were interested in hearing the topics of the Bhāgavatam. They had the taste. And so we did a little kīrtana to get everybody warmed up. And then, of course, we gave a lecture also. I kept it to about an hour, about 45 minutes to an hour. But every. We could just. He could hear a pin drop. Everyone was listening. And we got everyone to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. And then we do our normal little drama. Sometimes we show cinema and on the side we have book tables, distributing books. So people, they like to hear about Lord Shaitan. They like to come to these holy places for grihastas.

They consider that to be their sacrifice. If they go a long distance and go to some holy place india, that’s considered to be. Of course, that’s criticized in the Vedas, that if someone living by the side of the Ganges thinks that if he travels long distance and goes to hardwire take a bath in the Ganges, that’s not the actual real austerity. Of course, there may be an austerity to travel on those overcrowded buses, but of course it’s recommended that the greater austerity is giving your hearing and hearing from the devotees of the Lord about the glories of Kṛṣṇa. Sometimes you see huge crowds of people come to take the bath and go back, and they never actually hear what’s the purpose of human life. They just know that, well, I committed so many sins, I have to go wash them off.

So they think that only washing is. You just like take a bath and then that’s it. But then they don’t actually change the heart. So that kind of bathing bathes a long time and they don’t actually change, although eventually will have its effect. But due to so many offenses, it’s considered like hatisna, you know, Hati Snan, bathing of the elephant. Back to Dan. Back to Dan. He’s very interested in elephants. You know how they bathe Dan? Yeah. They use the dust bath.

Then they go in the water, they wash off the dust, they go back and take more dust.

They scrub each other very carefully with their nose. Sometimes they help each other get really clean and they go back out and Pick up the dust. That’s right. The first thing they do, they come right out, then they start throwing dust on themselves. So these people, practically the first thing they do, they get out immediately, light up their bees. So they know that. They have the understanding that this is a holy. But the problem is that a lot of these things are imported by the British. Like india, nobody never used to smoke beeties or take tea. This is all imported when the Second World War, when it was in effect, Britain couldn’t export their Indian tea. So, I mean, their tea gardens were going broke, so they had to make a domestic market. Before then, they never really thought of selling any tea india.

They were always exporting it overseas. But now the shipping lanes are closed because of the war. So Śrīla Prabhupāda said that actually in Calcutta in the Second World War, maybe it was the First World War, they did that. They had booths in Calcutta and they were giving out free cups of tea to anyone would take it. And they had a big science that makes bald people grow their hair. It cures malaria. It’s, you know, it’s like the panacea of all human frailties. You just take the tea and you become superman or something. And they’re begging people just to take it for free. They’re giving it out house to house. And people started to get hooked. They thought it was a matter of prestige to have your afternoon tea now, afternoon, morning, noon, night. Now their biggest market is domestic.

About two thirds of the tea they consume and one third they export, I believe. But no one used to take tea before. All these things were. Tobacco wasn’t also indigenous, as far as I understand. It wasn’t indigenous india. It wasn’t taken before, but now it’s become a habit and thanks to the marketing genius of our Western culture. So as a result, people just pick up these bad habits. It doesn’t mean the fight’s lost. These are not the end of it. Generally speaking, that’s about all they do. Even the armed robbers, before they go to bed, they usually have a cup of hot milk. I was pretty surprised in Calcutta in the peak of the communist riots. They were having about. On the headlines. Seven people murdered. 14 people murdered. Five people murdered. But that was the total for the whole city.

A city of 7 million. I think that is more than that. Just an ordinary city in the West. Five a day is nothing. Seven a day. I think New York is 150 a day. Get murdered or something.

And.

I saw the sign in Atlanta, underpaid policeman. It had the scorecard.

Yeah.

I am surprised. I mean, everybody should have bars on their windows.

They do.

They do. Now, it’s all very ornamental, but I told these are all recent, you know. But Kali Yuga progresses real fast as a snowball effect. But Chaitanya Mahara Buddha’s movement also has its snowball effect. And the purifying effect of Lord Caitanya’s movement is more powerful than the contaminating effect of the Kali Yuga. If the pure devotees sincerely practice and sincerely give that association, then no matter how contaminated one may be from the Kali Yuga, it’s possible that they can be purified if they just have a little desire. They have a little desire to get out of the influence of Kali Yuga. As we see here that by little sacrifice one becomes cleansed of all the sinful reactions. Having tasted nectar of the remnants of such sacrifice, they go to the supreme eternal atmosphere. So sometimes by association we get a little bit distracted.

We have to be very careful to be aware of that type of a situation and to go on tasting the nectar of the remnants of sacrifice. Actually, nothing should be accepted by human beings except the remnants of sacrifice. If we go at it with every action, every thought, every word offered in the sacrifice of devotional service, then we’re already considered liberated. So he’s already, Jivan Mukta, already liberated life. Because every activity is offered to Kṛṣṇa Śrīla Prabhupāda. He made such a big sacrifice, bringing Kṛṣṇa Consciousness to the west, offering his every thought, word and deed for it, giving the fallen people of the world Kṛṣṇa Consciousness. In spite of not getting any support, it’s our solemn duty to try to carry on the legacy that he has given us.

Similarly, he sent different preachers in different parts of the world to take up that preaching. If it wasn’t for these preachers, of course, then how would Kṛṣṇa Consent have been spread? Just like Rlacharyadeva went to South America and opened up the whole continent. And how so many different temple presidents, they went different places and opened up temples, different preachers. In this way, Rla Prabhupāda, through his different instruments, hands and legs, he was able to get the movement of Caitanya Mahabhu to reach even the farthest distant, most places. Was this any particular thing? Anyone like to hear? Which one?

Oh, the festival of Panahanti.

We don’t tell that in Atlanta.

In the Bhagavad Gītā says, at the time of death, whatever state one attains, he’s in. How does one know what the state.

Of he’s in, you will know by your next birth. You should chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Then you don’t have any doubt. You’re in Kṛṣṇa consciousness that you can know from the spiritual master if you’re in Kṛṣṇa consciousness or not. If there’s doubt, if you are chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa and following the instructions of the spiritual master, then you are in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. You have ever heard the Bengali historical humor Prabhupāda told about that king and his court? Justin Gopal bar. Gopal bar.

About the ass?

Yeah, like the. They walk in and say that the king would say that you’re an ass, Gopal. And they’d say, no, I am not an ass. No, you’re an ass. He said, no, there’s a difference between being an ass. He said, well, Gopal, I think that you’re thoroughly an ass. He said, I beg your pardon, your majesty, that there is a difference between made and asked. And the king said, what is that difference? And he walked up to the king and measured off the distance between him and the king and said, about 5ft. Talbot said that the king would keep one person who was just to give a little humor to the whole situation. Because the king is politics and judging people, maybe giving a death sentence. So many things that in the courtroom, kind of just like between preparations, sometimes it takes some.

You have to have a little something to cut the. Just heavy. Otherwise, just to judge someone for a death sentence or something. And the next guy comes in and it’s just like this other mood would kind of go over. So they have one person who is like the comedian, and he’s the only one that’s allowed to spoof on the king. So the prophet actually told this in the sense that a lot of these things would show the Vedic culture that the relations you get just from the humor, you kind of get a different perspective on what this is. About 250 years ago, you get a different perspective. One time, Gopal was. The king was going and driving on his horse, and he saw in procession, he saw that there was a brāhmaṇa with a shaligram shila around his neck.

And he was passing stool, answering nature call. And then the king was astonished at how brāhmaṇa would be carrying a shligam sila and doing that kind of going to the bathroom and not remaining pure. So when he got back to his courtroom, he called to find who that Brahmin was and bring him. So they brought the brahmin, and he said that you were carrying a shaligram sheila he said, yes. I said that you were answering your nature call around this time. He said yes. And you were wearing the Shaligam sheila around your neck. And the Brahman. I was shaking. He said, yes. He said, you call yourself a Brahmin? Why didn’t you hang him? Hang the Shaligam shah on a tree. And then after you finish and wash your hands, then you pick it up. Why? What kind of a Brahman are you?

You’re a disgrace to the whole kingdom. And this way we’re going to be guilty offenses to Narayan. The kingdom will be ruined. I sentence you at sundown to die, have your head chopped off and they’re ready to grab. Take him away. And the Brāhmaṇa was completely shook. Then Gopal, at this time he intervened and said, but king, he was just the carrier of the Shaligram. The king, you know, whenever Gopal gets his nose into things, he comes out. But he was very angry because this Brahman had committed a great offense. He was very convinced that he committed a great offense. And this way, if Brahmanas don’t show a good example, then definitely they can be punished by the king if they don’t show a good Kṛṣṇa conscious example. So but the king said, what do you mean? He was the carrier? So what?

He was carrying the. He was carrying the Shali Graham and he was doing all this dirty business. The Gopal said, no, but he was simply the carrier. So then the king says, well, what do you mean? And they said, well, your majesty, today when you’re riding your horse, did your horse evacuate? He said, well, of course, the horses always evacuate. I mean, when it evacuated, did you immediately go and take a bath and purify yourself from. Did you consider yourself contaminated? The king said, go, Paul, release the Brahmin this way. You know the stories. But then one can kind of see how even in the more recent history, just before this, just before the British rule, how even the. In the Kali Yuga, how the remnants of the Vedic culture were there. It’s a shame that now all the kings abolished.

I feel that if the kings were there, we would have a lot of scope for preaching. We wouldn’t have any problem for land and things like that. Of course, with the kings, maybe the Kazramanas would have had more clout too. In Rajasthan, aren’t there some kings? Well, the king is a name only. I mean, they don’t have any more. The government took away all their power, took all their lands. Oh yeah, everything. Everything but the crown jewels. And then they’re Trying to find those too. They’re all buried somewhere. They’re hidden for the large part. There’s one king in South India who is the king of, I believe, Travancore or something like that. And there’s a big deity called Ra called. And that deity apparently owns about half a billion dollars. And it’s all kept underneath the temple.

And sometimes the whole state goes into a drought. And then the king is the only one that’s allowed to borrow from that. He goes to deity and then he borrows. He requests to borrow so much of the kitty, and then he borrows it and lends it to the state. And the state, after they pull over the drought period, then they pay back the king and he pays back the deity. So before the wealth would be kept, a lot of wealth would be kept with the deity. Instead of putting the Federal Reserve, you know, in Fort Knox, they put it in the temples and that would be the deity’s wealth. But then they could. If they needed it, they could borrow it, but they had to pay it back that way. They always had a reserve this way.

The relationship between the king and the people was very close with the deity. And the people knew that if they misbehaved or something, there would be some difficulties. But then automatically they would go to the deity and the king would take a loan, somehow cover it over, and the king would be very careful to return every last ounce of gold not to be in debt to the deity. Questions.

You were saying last night about. I think it was last night, but some temple in South India, they were gonna give iskcon Bohemian Mūrti appeared.

I was just wondering where she gave the nectar out.

Oh, where she gave the nectar out. So all Christians, incarnations, they don’t appear necessarily on Earth’s planet, is that right?

Because, like, well, Vāmana, they didn’t appear on Earth planet.

Like Hiranyakashi Poo in the btg, it had this. You know, you see this picture of this big. Supposed to be the pillar of the palace that he was killed in by Lord Machine.

He wasn’t on the planet. He picked it up.

When Braha was fighting with Hiranyaksha. When he gave him the final blow at that time, he put his foot on the earth one foot. And the place where he put his foot on the earth was Navadvipta. And that’s why one of the islands of Navadip is called Koladvi. Kola is a name for vra.

Cola.

Cola K H O L A. I guess Coca Cola is A Nama Vance. That’s how they made it. Probably.

Everyone’S changing overall has a name.

Guess now you can be more Kṛṣṇa kind. A little bit better. A lot better. One of the devotees of Baraha was worshipping and Navara was very eager to see that form. And he worshipped for a long time. And then Braha again appeared there. And you could have sut big form.

When we take over these places, these tirthas that if they are given to us. So we have to consider what offenses have been committed there before.

Consider that mean.

I mean that you may have to.

You know.

Because of the offenses that were committed. You have to take on that responsibility for those offenses.

I wouldn’t believe so why would one have to do that?

I don’t know. That’s what I am asking.

Offenses are personal in nature. If a person commits an offense, it’s not like in a holy dam. People go there and leave all their sinful reactions. They can’t pile up like every time after the devotees leave, after all the people leave. I wouldn’t say it’s the devotees. It’s after they go up Pūrṇimā Day. All Those karmis, about 2 million karmis. It wasn’t how many, but 7 million pilgrims come there, 700,000 in the last two days. Just packed up. After everybody leaves. All the boys get sick there for two weeks. I got dengue fever and all kinds of things. But that’s sinful reactions. But offenses are a personal nature. The thing with that particular temple, we would have to keep some of the hereditary Brahmas. Their family’s been worshiping that deity for 500 years.

The stipulation is they have to also have a right there to do worship. We can do some worship. You would be able to develop the whole place and manage it. But there would be a little bit of. A little bit of limitation in terms of, you know, you still have a. Of course, in one sense. I mean, we’re not exactly experienced in worshiping Lord Narayan. But they seem quite cooperative. They use the Pancharatri system. And of Nārada Muni we have one devotee, Gorakesha, who’s been studying it for years. He’s really into it. He was the one who did the fire sacrifice this year at Gorponima.

I was going to be done.

You missed out. They had the big fire sacrifice pit that was a nine foot long Garuḍa eagle. It was I think seven feet by. Maybe it was seven by eleven. But it was a huge thing. It took up a lot of space. And then they did a boot suiting. But to give the faith. And the local people when you do the various rituals, they gained some faith in that. Other questions? Yes.

I heard Rupanuga say before that Lord Shaitani doesn’t appear every Kali Yoga.

No. So he only comes after Kṛṣṇa comes.

He comes every Kali Yudin.

Once every day of Brahma. He does after Kṛṣṇa.

Yeah.

Kṛṣṇa doesn’t come every Kali Yuga.

No, no, no. Not Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa comes in dwarf Yuga.

Kṛṣṇa doesn’t come every dwarfa Yuga.

I see.

There’s a thousand mahyugas in one day of Brahman. And Kṛṣṇa comes once in a day of Brahman, once in a thousand ages.

So how is the after?

After 1000 Dwar Yugas, he will be back again.

So there’s an Everyuga that’s a special type of Dharma, right?

Yes.

So how is called Yuga? What is the Yuga Dharma now?

Then there will be a new Bhagwatam. There will be a new Veda. Last day wrote this Bhāgavatam for this Kali Yuga just at the end being a dwarfa Yuga. So in these four Yugas it was this way. Similarly, Kalki will come and establish that to Yuga. And then he will establish a new Yuga Dharma. You can’t say what in the future. What. What sacrifice would be for what Yoga Dharma. What sacrifice will be for what yoga.

But is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa.

It’s always that was Ajamil wasn’t in the Kali Yuga. He chanted Narayan once and he was taken back to godhood. Valmiki chanted mara, mara, kill, kill in Sanskrit. And then he was chanting the name Ram in the Tretā Yuga. And he before Ram appeared and he became Valmiki. When he was a dacoit, he was. He was a robber. Draupadi was chanting out on Kṛṣṇa’s name when she was being stripped. And by calling Kṛṣṇa’s name, she was saved from embarrassment when she attempt was being made to strip her. To embarrass her like that, insult her like that, disgrace her. So the Holy Name always has power. The thing is that chanting the Holy Name itself, sometimes people can chant the Holy name for thousands and thousands of births and still not achieve perfection. If the person is offensive.

If you chant and commit offense at the same time, that’s the special mercy of Lord Caitanya, is that he forgives us from offenses. That’s why in the Kali Yuga, the Dhamma of Navadip goes on increasing. Māyāpur Dhamma increases. All the other holy damas gradually decrease. Even in Vrindavan, the desert is moving in from the Rajasthan desert. No one can effectively worship Vrindavan unless they’re free from offenses. When the demons went to kill Kṛṣṇa, they were offensive, so Kṛṣṇa killed them. The demons, when they went to try to hurt Lord Caitanya’s movement. Like the Chandars, the other Lord Caitanya made them into pure devotees. This is the glory of Navadrivdana when Lord Shaitanya was himself.

(Side B of the Cassette)

We have been discussing the activities of the devotees, associates and cryas in our line around the time of Caitanya Mahat. Of course, we know something about Sirup and Sanātana Goswami and the six Goswamis group. In Sanātana and Goswami, they spent most of their time in Vrindavana excavating hidden Tirthas holy places and compiling literatures to reveal the essence of Kṛṣṇa conscious philosophy. So Narottam Das Thakur, he prayed in one of his songs to Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. O Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, you are so merciful. You have come to this material world. Along with your energies sang upon Gastraparashadam. And some of these energies you have empowered to write transcendental literatures like Rūpa and Sanātana and Gopal Bhattag, Goshamipad and others like Śrīnivasacharya. You have empowered to distribute these literatures, you see. So Śrīnivas Acharya and other great devotees were especially empowered to distribute books in Sankirtan.

Of course, in those days the books were written on palm leaves. So it was not a mass distribution. But where there would be one book, then rather a thousand and a thousand people would go there to hear what was in the book. People were more eager in those days. But actually Śrīnivasacharya brought the literatures of the Goswamis from Vrindavana first to Bengal. And he widely preached throughout Bengal. It’s very important to note how there are so many preaching devotees in our line. You see, apart from the devotees who remain in the holy places, there were many devotees who went out and preached. Narottam Thakur himself, he preached widely, not only in Bengal, but in Orissa. He sent disciples to Manipur. Other devotees preached in different parts of India. Shamananda Pandit, he went to Orissa and preached.

One of his chief disciples, Rasikanand, also was preaching in Orissa. Then, along with Narottam Thakur, we sing Ramachandra Sanghamangi. There was Ramachandra Kavira. She was the disciple of Śrīnivasa Acharya. Narottam Das Thakur was a disciple. Lokanath Swami Shamananda Pandit was a disciple Hridayananda Das, later known as Hidoi Chaitanya, because Lord Caitanya entered into his heart. Today in the Panchika, isn’t it the disappearance day of Gauri Das Pandit, someone have a calendar? You just check. So this way there were so many different devotees from different spiritual masters, but they were all Simply attached to Lord Caitanya’s lotus feet. And as one they were preaching in different areas. Sometimes they would preach together. Sometimes Narottam Thakur would go with Shyamanda and Arisa and sometimes he would stay in some other place. But there was no party spirit, but there was complete cooperation.

Actually they’re all eternal associates of Lord Chetan. But they are examples, of course is for us to see. And how although the spiritual masters of different branches, just like in Iskcon today we have now so many disciples of different spiritual masters. But there’s no obstacle in them, everyone cooperating together for preaching. And that is the actual Kṛṣṇa conscious mood. When is it? What was the appearance Gauri Das Pandit disappearance? It’s not in August. They probably don’t even. It probably doesn’t make this list, the disappearance. They don’t put all of us. They don’t know who they are. Gordidas Pandit, you see, he was Subala 23rd Saturday. So Gauri Das Pandit was a great devotee of Lord Caitanya. He was Subal in Kṛṣṇa Leela and his disciple was Hudayananda Das.

What happened was of course that his Gauridas Pandit’s elder brother is Surya Dasar Kayla, whose two daughters married Nithyananda. And there are many pastimes where Gauri Das Pandit he had a very friendly relationship with Lord Caitanya and they would sit together. So one time Lord Caitanyattananda went to his house In Khulna, about 30 miles from Māyāpur and they told him that they were going. But he insisted that no, you must stay. How can we stay? We have so many devotees to see. Well, if you cannot stay, then you must leave me your murtis. You must leave me Nitāi Gore 2 Life Size Mūrti that I can have. Otherwise who will I talk with? Who will I take Vashonim with? He was in a friendly relationship. So he was so insistent.

He never wanted anyone to worship his mūrti in his presence while he was on the earth because he was taking the mood of a devotee. But he could not refuse Subal, I mean Goridas Pandit. So Goydas Pandit had went to Nabadip and got some neem, brought the neem wood down and right in the presence of Nitāi Gora, the carpenter, the craftsman. When the sculptor carved two deities of Lord Caitanya, Lord Nitinanda and these deities were installed in his own temple. But when the deities were finished, then Goy Das Pandit was told by Nityangora that all right, now we’re going. And he said, no, don’t go. Let the deities go. You stay. How is that possible? No, because there is no difference. So you should stay. Let the deities go. He said, all right. And they stood and then they became just immovable like wood.

And the deities started moving and walking away. The gory Das was amazing. He went, no, to the deity. Stay here. Let them. Then again Lord Shaytanya Nityānanda stopped. Then the deities again started moving and they walked off. But they became, you see, just Lord Shaitanya Nithyananda. And then God said, no, no, you must stay. Let the deities go. So then one more time, again it happened. And this time he became confused at who is to stay and who is to go. So he said, all right, I give up. Then he installed these deities in his temple knowing that actually the deity is not different from Lord Caitanya and Lord Nithyananda. So there’s a wonderful story about his disciples, Hridayananda Das. He’s a great devotee, Hudaynanda. He was very eager to put a big festival on for his spiritual master, Gauri Das Pandit.

And he told local villagers to bring all kinds of things for distribution of prasadam and for festival. And then Gauri Dasvanat came back from where he was and he saw that what’s this going on? And he said, well, we wanted to have a festival in your honor. He said externally he appeared very angry because he didn’t take permission inside. Of course he was satisfied with his disciples enthusiasm. But in a mood of spiritual master he appeared a little angry. He said no, we cannot have any of these festivals here. What is this? Sagar Daspana was a little bit, I mean Hridayananda was a little bit feeling separation from this chance to worship his spiritual master. So but order of Guru is absolute. What can he do? He went and sat down by the side of the Ganges chanting Japa.

Meanwhile all the bula carts from the villagers started bringing in all of the materials for prasadam and everything. So then Gory Das Bhattana called hidden under and told them, all right, you have your festival. Because otherwise all the people had come. So then he started a big kīrtana. Such a big kīrtana just going on, you see, for hour after hour a huge kīrtana. So this kīrtana was so wonderful with kol and kartal and dancing that Lord Chetan Nitinanda, they left the temple and went out and joined the kīrtana party. In the meantime, Gauri Das Bhanata was inside the ashram. When the kīrtana is going on in Yitaigura, they’re dancing but nobody can see them. How that they have gone into the with all the devotees. The Murtis themselves have come out of the temple and started dancing with the devotees.

So Gaurida as Panda then went into the temple to make some offering. He looked and says Natay Goa gone. So where are Nitāi Goa? Where did they go? My goodness, where did they go? And he ran out and there he started chanting with so many hundreds of devotees. And then the tiger dancing kīrtana, he picked up a stick and he started chasing the tiger. You get back in the temple right now. Gohidas Pandit. Then Lord Chaitanya he entered into the heart of Hidayananda, you see. And then again he came out and went back into the temple. That’s why when Goida responded, saw him go in the heart of Hidai Nanda. That’s how he got the name Hid Chaitanya. Hidoya means heart and Chaitanya of course means Chaitanya.

So then after that Gauri Das pandit was very concerned that Lord Chaitanya Nithyananda would leave his temple like this. Because already they very movable deities. And I was researching some of the places of Lord Caitanya. So I happened to go to this temple. This story is right from the scriptures. I went there and I was taking Darshan. They don’t allow one to take a photograph because they just have some restriction. But the deities are very beautiful. Seven feet full life size, very beautiful. After two minutes they closed the door. I said what is this? Is this some offering? He says, no, wait a few minutes to open it again. Then they opened the deity. I was taking Darshan again. They closed it. They said what’s going on?

They said ever since the time that Lord Caitanya Nityānanda ran out with that Sankirta and Paraguay Dha made the rule, you can only leave it open three minutes. That if they get too attached at their devotees, you see, they may run out again and leave. But he was very afraid. So he did not want them to get too attached with any of their devotees. So he just made this rule, wait a minute, we will open again. So this rdh he was the great devotee Hiday Caitanya that when the Shyama Nanda was known as Dukkha Kṛṣṇa Das, Dukki Kṛṣṇa Das and he’s just known as Dukkhi first that means sad because he was always feeling separation. So when he Became a. He was about 12 years old. His parents said, now we want to give your Brahma initiation. We’d like to give you.

You should take initiation from a guru. Who would you like to take initiation from? He said, I want to take initiation from Hidayananda Hiday Caitanya Das, I have heard of him and I want to take initiation from him. He’s the disciple of Boridas Pandit. And so they were glad that their son had such a spiritual desire to take initiation from Pure Vaiava. So they sent him and he fell down at the feet of Hridaya Caitanya and he begged for initiation. So then he was given first the name of Dukki Kṛṣṇa Das. They added Kṛṣṇa Das. And so Hridayachidanya sent him to Vrindavan and sent one note to Jīva Goswami. Train him and the scriptures there. And then when he’s trained up, send him back for preaching. So in this way he went to Vrindavan, stayed there and studied under the Goswamis.

There he became known as Shaman Pandit. When he came back then he was preaching all over Orissa, his many disciples and Aresa, even today in the Shamuna Sampradāya. So in this way preaching was expanded from different branches and different devotees. Śrīla Prabhupāda, he had tried very hard to get all of his godbrothers to work together with him. When he went to America, we know from the biography, he wrote them many letters, but they didn’t really give any support or any even moral support. Then he also requested his godbrothers, let us have some house we can stay in at Māyāpur while we build our temple. They telegram back, house filled, no room booked up. So it was very unfortunate for Rla Prabhupāda that he didn’t have that kind of assistance from his godbrothers.

But of course, Bhaktived Thakur had predicted that there will be one devotee who will come and spread Kṛṣṇa Consciousness all over the world. So by the will of the supreme, the situation was there that Prabhupāda single handedly had to distribute Kṛṣṇa Consciousness all over the world. But Bhaktived also had prayed that there would be a worldwide organization which would unitedly distribute Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, Lord Caitanya’s movement all over the world. And so that’s what Śrīla Prabhupāda has established, the international society for Kṛṣṇa Consciousness. When all the devotees had come to Māyāpur, he would tell us that just see all these different devotees, different Countries, different continents. This is the real United Nations. He said, this is the real. You look at the United nations, they have 70. They started off with what, 46 or 76 nations. Now they have over 150.

It’s not United nations, it’s dividing nations. They’re all always dividing because there’s so many conflicts of interest. But this is the real spiritual United Nations. People all taking Prasayam together in the same line in the same place. There’s no question of any kind of caste, creed, distinction. Everyone is Vaishnav, everyone is devotee Kṛṣṇa Dāsī. So this is the real United Nations. So this was desired very eagerly by Bhaktivi Nata Thakur, by Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasetakur, that people from all over the world would chant at Lord Caitanya’s birthplace. And that preaching would go on all over the world. So Prabhupāda, he would always see the Prabhupāda would always instruct us that the secret to spiritual success is to try to satisfy the desires of the previous. That one makes advancement by, of course, serving his own spiritual master.

And through following his instruction, he also tries to satisfy the desires of previous cryas as far as possible. This way the continuity is maintained. So actually, the pastimes of Lord Caitanya are unlimited. And the pastimes of all of his great devotees are equally transcendental and worthy of being glorified. Just like when Lord Caitanya sees. He went to. He was. After he took Sannyas, he went to Jagannath Purī at that time, Rupan Sanatan. They had never met Lord Chetan yet, so far that we can understand from histories, they had not yet met Lord Chetan Mahāprabhu. But they were the chief ministers for the Hussain Shah, Emperor of Bengal, the Mohammedan ruler. But they created in their own residence an exact replica of Vrindavan, Rādhā Kunda and Shamakunda. They had different Kundas for the eight Sakhis and Govardhan, everything.

And they had Rādhā Mahana deities there which they worshipped. And all of these scholars and the Brahmins and pandits, they would come to Rūpa and Sanātana. And by their profuse generosity, practically all the Gauḍīya, Vaishnavas and other scholars were being maintained. They were keeping the culture alive. We know, of course, that Lord Caitanya praised them for the humility. And when they finally met Lord Caitanya, they were saying, we are Javanas and we have already fallen. Because they had accepted the name Kabir Dabir Kas and the Shekhar Malik or something. But actually they’re always hearing the Bhāgavatam. Always hearing the Bhāgavatam from different devotees and studying. And actually they’re from the highest family for seven generations you can trace back. Actually they’re from Karnataka, South India. Their previous forefathers were great kings in Karnataka. And gradually after, through seven generations, they shifted.

And for three generations, their father, their grandfather, he had become a Brāhmaṇa. And he took his residence in Nihati. And their father took residence in Bangladesh, East Bengal, now we know as Bangladesh. At that time was East Bengal. And Jasor Jala. And from there. And he was so strict that if he even saw a meat eater, he would fast the whole day. He was so strict. So they’re feeling themselves. Our father was so strict. And were the employee. We’re the minister for the king of the meat eaters. So that when they were feeling very humble. But actually they were maintaining the whole culture at that time in their own way. They didn’t manage the whole government for the king. They were back like kings themselves. So to Lord Chaitanya he came on his way to Vrindavan. And he stopped at Ram Kali.

And there he met Rupan Sana. He was chanting Kīrtana there with thousands and thousands of people chanting with Lord Caitanya. So at that time, Rupan, they approached him with a straw in their mouth and humility and paid their obeisances. And Lord Chaitanya was so moved by their humility. And they just kept away very far. And offering so many by their humility, they won the heart of Lord Chaitanya. And he picked them up and embraced them, you see, in spite of their protests and gave them so many good instructions. At that time, Jīva Goswami, the son of Sibalab, later to become Anupam, just a small child. He also had the Darshan of Vor Chaitanya there. So of course we all know the history. How later Rūpa Goswami went. And then after him Sanatan Goswami finally escaped.

And they both went to Vrindavan, where they met Lord Chetan. They had Prayeg Allahabad and at Benar respectively. So actually we see that if you study the pastimes of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. That basically he was simply coming to meet with his devotees. He came down simply to meet with the different devotees. Sometimes the devotees would go and meet him. And sometimes he would go and meet with them, came to Navadi but then of course, Lord Caitanya went and met him in Navadi Rūpa Goswami went and met Lord Caitanya. But then Lord Caitanya went to South India. He met Gopal Bhaṭṭa Goswami at Venkata Bhaṭṭa’s house. So basically Lord Caitanya’s passage is simply meeting with his devotees. Separating, meaning separation. Separating. So our devotional service, there are so many opportunities. When we meet with the spiritual master, then again we have to separate.

Sometimes we get association with certain devotees. Sometimes again we’re separated. Like this. Kṛṣṇa is organizing with the Lord himself. He comes down because of the intense desire of his devotees. They all want to meet with the Lord and serve Him. So he satisfies all of their desires. He satisfies all of their desires. So Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, of course he came down for the specific purpose of meeting with his devotees and understand. And his manifested purpose was to deliver everyone by this process of Hari Nama Sam Kīrtana. And so he engaged the different devotees in the process of Sam Kīrtana distributing the Lord’s mercy. In fact, he ordered Lord Nityānanda and Haridas talk to go from door to door and beg the people to take up this movement. He told him so, no Sono Nityānanda, Sono Haridas. Listen. Listen Nithyananda, listen.

You broadcast my message everywhere to everyone. You go to every house to house and you beg the people. In this way, please chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, worship Kṛṣṇa and study the teachings of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. So in this way Lord Nithyananda holiday. They are begging from door to door. The people. You can imagine Nityānanda knocking on your door and open the door. What do you want? Please chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, worship Kṛṣṇa, study Ka’s teachings. So of course some devotees immediately they’d pay obeisances and take the dust and Onychanda’s feet. Respect them. Other people were non devotees. They said, what do I have to do with this? But they would convince, see, because go begging means that people will insult Brahman. Chari goes begging for the Guru to learn tolerance. Because begging means that people will say so many things.

Prabhupāda gave a story how india there was one Brahmacharya and he was begging at the door of a household. They said, please give some donation. And he said, well, you know, we don’t have anything. I mean, they always say they don’t have anything, you know. So then the husband, the father of the house in the back, he called out and said, we have got some ashes, give him some ashes. And he said, that’s all right, give some ashes. But don’t just talk about it. Give it once and for all. Don’t waste so much time. Even the ashes, they say, give them ashes. Even if you give ashes and leave something, all you’re doing is talking. So that sometimes the people, they have to accept many insults. Prabhupāda told the story how there was one great businessman in Calcutta called Lalabu. And he gave everything up.

And he was even begging from the houses of his competitors and enemies. So this is a very great austerity, of course. But he accepted. It’s some temple in Vrindavan, Lalubu temple. Prabhupāda stayed nearby there one period of his pastimes. So this is especially the duty for the disciple to go out on behalf of the spiritual master and to beg people to take up Kṛṣṇa consciousness, to give something in the service of Kṛṣṇa. And the example of course is shown by the supreme Lord himself, Lord Nityānanda. So they, you know, went this way from door to door. A very nice story about how when Śrīnivasacharya was being brought up by his father Chaitanya Das went to see Lord Chaitanya with his wife in Purī. And Lord Chaitanya said, when he saw him immediately he said, oh, come with us. See the lotus eyed Jagannath.

And he went there with his wife to actually see Lord Chaitanyan. As soon as he saw Lord Chaitanya was stunned to see his lotus eyes that practically go right to his ears. Rotate his eyes and go right to his ears. Lotus eyes and his thin waist which is like mega lion’s waist. Look, become ashamed. Broad chest immediately saw him. He said, come with us and see the lotus eye Jagannath. He paid his obeisances on the ground. The dust of the devotees. Lord Caitanya told bring him. And they all were, you know, amazed. What is this? Who is this new devotee? Grihas, the devotee, you know, just came. What Caitanya brings them with everyone, then there must be some mystery. There’s something that you know, we’re going to find out. So everyone asks, tell us.

If Lord Caitanya says that who these devotees are, there must be something special about them because we can sense it. Lord Caitanya told Govinda Das confidentially that this Caitanya Das and his good wife, the wife’s name was Lakshmi Priya, they’re going to have a son by the name of Śrīnivasarya. This Śrīnivas will be a great feature of mine. And then in a dream, Jagannath told Śrīnivas to go to Bengal and have a child. He’d be a preacher by the name of Śrīnivas. Then Lord Chetan, when he came to see Lord Chetan, he told him, go to Bengal, to your village and have. You will have a son there. You have a son. So they went back. So when they were training up Śrīnivas, you know, when he was an infant. And the mother would say, come on, let me hear you chant Gorahari.

Let me hear you chant. Adha is the Lord of Advaita. Let me hear you chant the very life of Godadhar in different names of Vo Chaitanya, the master of Śrīvas. Let me hear you chant. Govind, Namoradi, Hari. And the baby would start to chant in broken language. And everyone would be very pleased. And then his father actually had the Darshan of war, Caitanya. When he took Sannyas. That’s when he first saw Lord Caitanya was going to Navadip. And on the way, stopped in Kaktava. Just when Lord Caitanya was taking Sannyas. So when he was describing how Lord Caitanya was there, so beautiful with his hair up. As the Brahmins used to tie their hair. And just so beautiful. And then how the barber came and cut the hair. Then the father fell unconscious on the ground. The son fell just crying, weeping.

And someone hears this description. How the father and son he’s describing about Lord Chetan. He falls unconscious, crying, thinking of Lord Chetan, yet accepting sannyas. His son is laying there crying, weeping, just, you know, shaking, convulsing. And so then, you know, when they get themselves together, then again he begins to explain how Lord Caitanya had tells all the leelas to his son, educates his son in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. This is how Lord Caitanya sent Nityānanda out from door to door. How these very. The worst people, this Jagai Madhya, were in Navadip. And everyone was afraid of them. They were meat eaters, drunkards, rapists, the worst kind of people. Dacoits, thieves, robbers. Everyone was afraid of them. So the thing was that Nithyana was going to everybody. When they saw these two people, immediately he thought, let me approach them.

So what happened was some local people could almost read his mind. They came up and said, don’t try it. Don’t do it. These are the worst people. See, did you hear this Before. And so they went to Jagayamandai. And Nathitana said, listen, three words out. They said, what? Kill him. Get him more. Grab him, Knock him down. Smashed, chasing after Nityanand and Haridas. Nityanand and Haridas are running down the road. And Jagay ma there with a wine bottle in one hand, saying, get him. Get him. What’s this? Trying to teach us religion? Get him. And they’re running down the street. So Haridas a little bit older, so he was saying in Anithinanda, it’s very difficult to keep up. Come on, this is a pastime. So finally hid behind one cow trough. And Jagai Bandai, they came looking. They couldn’t see them. They went on.

So somehow or another they got their way back to Lord Caitanya that night. Lord Caitanya, of course, was very proud to hear their baby. But he said, you should be careful. He said, well, you’re the most. Their idea was that Lord Caitanya, he’s the most compassionate for the most fallen. So therefore, if we can deliver these two souls, people realize the power of Lord Caitanya’s mercy. So they went on preaching. In the meantime, Jagai Madhya went on with their different kinds of nefarious activities. And they have to do time. Then Lord Caitanya, you know, was always sending out Nityānanda, Haridas every day. Again, Nityānanda saw Jagayamandai. This time they were wrestling drunk. And he thought that I should try to deliver these people.

In the meantime, there was a story in the Caitanya, in the scriptures, that just to show you the kind of people they were, there was one blind man who was being led by his minor daughter. And they saw this immediately. They saw, oh, look at this, a sitting duck. They go, beat the blind man to death and rape his daughter. This is the kind of people they were. You cannot imagine. And they give a whole history about how these people are. So, I mean, completely ruthless, cruel. It’s not just like, you know, some guy at the local pub. I mean, these people were genocide masochists. I mean, of the worst order. So these are the people Nityānanda was approaching. And so then he approached them again and said, chan, Hare Kṛṣṇa worship Kṛṣṇa suddenly said, chant, Hare Kṛṣṇa.

And Jagay picked up a pot, smashed it on Nithyananda’s head. He said, you and your nonsense. He did that. And Nithyananda, he wasn’t at least affected. He was thinking, he was simply absorbed that I have to deliver these people. He said, it doesn’t matter that you have broken your pawn on my head. You just chant and love the name of Kṛṣṇa. And that was. I mean, generally speaking. And they have experience. It was such a moving experience that Madhy he could understand. This is no ordinary person. He started to tell Jagaya, listen, this is some unusual thing. I mean, nobody gets smashed on the head and tells you again that just Chan Hare Kṛṣṇa in love. This is some extraordinary person. I am not feeling right about this. He starts to pull on Jagaya. But Jagay is completely absorbed and wants to smash him again.

In the meantime, Lord Caitanya hears about it and he is filled just like in his mood of Na. And he appears there. Surah Sara Chakra. And he’s just ready to kill Jagayamanda on the spot. Filled with rage. How they have offended Avai. How they have hit Nithyananda immediately. Chakra Sudarshan is coming from the spiritual sky immediately. An Lord Caitanya is called to take their life at that moment. And then Nithyananda is saying, no, Lord Caitanya, this is Kali Yuga. Everyone is like Jagayamandai. There are so many. If you kill them, there will be left alive. You must deliver them. In the meantime, Jagai came to his senses. And they both brothers fell down at the feet. And they begged forgiveness. So not only did they beg forgiveness, they said, you teach us how we can be proper people.

Lord Chaitanya said, I will only spare you if you promise you will never do these things again. He said, not only we won’t do these things. You teach us how we can become a pure Vaishnava. So then he sent them to the Ganges. They took bath and they came back and they were given initiation. So this story was told by his F. Śrīnivasacharya. And they were just weeping. Weeping to hear of the mercy of Vijayananda. Weeping to hear the mercy of poor Caitan. This was a relationship of father and son. Ordinarily father and son, you know, go out and play baseball or something. Here with their relationship, they’re simply glorifying Lord Caitan. The son is simply eager. And then he’s saying. He’s saying, now I think you’re old enough to take care of your mother.

I simply want to go to Vrindavan to see Rūpa Sanata, see all those devotees. His father’s desire is always. He wants to go to Vrindavan at that age. So Prabhupāda said that it’s very great advantage. You see, it’s actually pure devotee. Parents are devotees. Prabhupāda’s parents were devotees. They’re always praying to any vaiava that came to please bless my son that he may be blessed by Seema Tirādhārāṇī. So it’s a very great opportunity for anyone to be born in this Kṛṣṇa conscious environment. And it’s the duty of the parents to train up the child. And we see that how Chaita Nithanya Das chained up his child. Of course, he was sent right from the spiritual sky for that purpose, to be a great preacher. But how they showed the perfect father and son Kṛṣṇa conscious relationship. Mother also always glorifying Lord Caitanya Nithyananda.

So we have the great opportunity of being in this Kṛṣṇa conscious movement. And if we simply follow, and if Nityānanda is God himself, he’s begging the people, we just take that this is our greatest opportunity on their behalf. Simply to request the people Ynanteina Prakrina by any means to engage them in Kṛṣṇa service. With patience, with perseverance, enthusiasm. What greater opportunity is there? No one can understand how the Lord’s mercy is working. But his mercy is so great, no one can escape it. Like a flood. Everyone is submerged simply. We have to keep ourselves pure. Prove that as long as our devotees are pure, there’s nothing that can stand in the way of this movement. It is not subject to a material calculation how this movement will proceed. It is happening simply by Lord Caitanya Nityānanda’s mercy.

The great associates of Lord Kṛṣṇa, they came down to participate in this pastime of distributing Kṛṣṇa consciousness as a special ecstasy, a special nectar in serving the Lord in that humble service of distributing, increasing the assembly of devotees. Thank you very much.
