The following is a lecture on Lord Caitanya and the Buddhists given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on August 22, 1980 – in New Orleans, USA.
If she’s very favorable to one’s practice of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, then that is a very ideal situation. And there is no difficulty whatsoever in advancing, you see. And there’s not even any need to think about giving up Brihasta Ashram. If the wife is actually backing the husband and encouraging the devotional activities. It’s very difficult to find such an ideal couple where both are eager to see the that Kṛṣṇa is pleased by the activities. If that situation is there, then one is very well situated. In ordinary circumstances we see that generally the people are always trying to satisfy each other’s senses and they very different kind of strifes and difficulties come up. But when the people concerned are fixed on pleasing Lord Caitanya, pleasing the spiritual master, then the ideal situation is there for someone like Bhakti Siddhānta.
He always encouraged his Grihastras to have raise their children Kṛṣṇa consciously. Someone asked him once that, you know, why didn’t you take the Grihasta Ashram? He said, well, I. I would have a hundred children. If I knew that everyone would become Kṛṣṇa conscious, then I’d have a hundred. The point was that he didn’t take Prihas Dharsram because obviously he didn’t think that every child would be Kṛṣṇa conscious. And to put that much energy into an Unkṛṣṇa conscious child he didn’t consider renumerative. In fact, if you know, Thakur had many children. Some of them were great devotees and some of them were helping him during his presence. He made them help him, but they didn’t really remain very active so far that I know or have understood after he left. So that apparently gave some instructions to Bhakti Siddhānta.
We can only hope and pray to Kṛṣṇa that if there is a child, that the child is actually a soul who is devotionally inclined. Because it’s very rare for someone to be devotionally inclined. Each particular circumstance is very individual. Rebbe Mad Das Goswami, he wanted to give up his Grihasta life. And Lord Chaita says, no, you must stay there. And in fact you have to act perfectly in your Grihasta life and preach from that circumstance. So there are all different type of instructions were given at different times. But the ideal thing is that one has to actually, in whatever position he’s in, is to focus his mind on Kṛṣṇa and actively give his energy. The criterion is not whether one is a Brahmachari or whether one is a Vihasta, but who is actually attached to Lord Caitanya’s lotus feet.
Who’s actually attached to the Guru’s lotus feet. That is the criterion. So if one can be attached to the lotus feet of Guru and Gaurāṅga, that is his success. And if there are things which are standing away in that attachment, then he has to understand how to overcome those. Raghunath Das Goswami is very detached from his family life. So though Chaitanya said that’s an ideal situation, then you can stay in your family life for the time being. Because you’re detached from it now. You become always attached to me in your heart. To the Lord Kṛṣṇa in your heart. And he gave the example that just like a woman who has an affair with another man than her husband does her family affairs very perfectly. But so the husband won’t find out that she has another lover.
But at the same time, her affection actually in her heart is always fixed on that other person, you see. So Lord Caitanya gave instruction to Raghunath Das that in this way, your mind, your attachment should always be on Kṛṣṇa. You maintain your children and your family affair just in that way. But expertly you do your business and everything. But your attachment should always be on Kṛṣṇa. You’re just doing this out of duty. The devotee is always expert. So he keeps his heart on the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. That way, very quickly, all the obstacles are removed for one to rise higher and higher in devotional service. In the beginning of this course, your grace observed that this place is today warmer than usual. I only commend that it is your affection and warmth in your vision that has made it warmer than usual.
He made a compliment. Any other question? How often do the Lord Chaitanya beginning appear? Do they appear in every color? You live to save people? No, no. They only come when Lord Kṛṣṇa comes. Then they come sometime. That means that one day of Brahman. So this is a very rare opportunity. This is a rare opportunity that. See, they’re known as Adhar ja Big Graham. Adhar ja means that it’s the Lord’s pastime where he’s, you know, just like there used to be a TV show when I was in grade school they called Become a Millionaire or something. Some guy would walk up to your house and hand you a check for a million dollars. Just like that mood, you know, where like just give someone, you know, to just give away something. So that. Or Dharja means that mood. That Kṛṣṇa also has that mood.
Well, just like if you have a big, you know, like you’re distributing prashad, you may have, you know, like one truckload of Prashad. Just Come on everybody. So that Lord Chaitanya’s mood is just that. Here you just. All right. Just know. This one should get. This one shouldn’t get. This one’s a. This one’s the bad man. This is not. All right, everybody. Come on, just take it. That’s his special mood. When he. His special incarnation. He has that mood just giving out. Everyone whoever wants it, just come and get it. Unfortunately, people are so foolish, they don’t even want it. They have to come out over, you know, the well. And you know, they’re just absorbed in their messions. This is Lord Caitanya’s mercy. He’s just giving out patta pata, nabi chari. There’s no analysis. This person is worthy, he’s unworthy. He should get.
He shouldn’t get. Everyone. Whoever wants simply. We have to get the people to just chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. They will make advances very quickly. So this is very rare. Lord Chetan only comes once in a day at most. But of course, his pastimes are eternally existent. In one universe or another. He is manifesting his pastimes. There are complementary pastimes of Lord Kaja. Is there a section in Spirit of Sky where Lord Chaitanya has his pastime also? Yes. Part of Kṛṣṇa Loka is for Lord Caitanya Mahbhu and those who are the devotees of Lord Caitanya, they simultaneously. In Kṛṣṇa Leela, for instance, like those who are the Gopīs or Manjaris, the female attendants of Rādhārāṇī, they would have a female form. But in Caitanya Leela, they. They have a male form and they assist Lord Chaitanyamya that way.
So simultaneously there are two pastimes and a devotee in his spiritual form. He simultaneously worships Lord Caitanya and Kṛṣṇa in the eternal Dhamma of Navadip and Golok. Simultaneously in an inconceivable way for studying. Reading my bag in town. Enchanting. You just read one book or do I have to read all different books? It’s better to become expert in one book first. You read many books, you know, you can get a little bewildered. It’s actually better to master one book at a time. When you thoroughly understand one book, then go on to the next. That’s the recommended way. Many people like to read a lot of books just to get some knowledge. Just kind of show off that they know something but they don’t really understand in depth. It’s more important to thoroughly understand the thing.
Then you know, you may not know so many little facts. But if you can understand even one thing perfectly, then that can save you from the greatest danger. More important than knowing a lot of facts to actually understand some of the subject matter. Just like you’re building a house, you have to dig out a foundation. If you have a strong foundation, you build a big house. So you have to get a strong foundation. Read the Bhagavad Gītā 3 four times. Read the Śrīmad Bhagavam first canto thoroughly understand it, then you go on. It’s recommended first to read the Bhagavad Gītā many times. Understand that, then you go on to the Rudd Bhagavad. Any other questions? Is that all right?
Mothers deities while you fall asleep O Great King, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the controller of the material and spiritual energies, who is certainly the creator of the entire cosmos, creates a time factor to allow the material energy and the living entity to act within the limits of time. Thus, the supreme personality of Godhead is never under the time factor nor under the material energy. O Great King, the supreme Personality of Godhead, the controller of the material and spiritual energies, who is certainly the creator of the entire cosmos, creates the time factor to allow the material energy and the living entity to act within the limits of time. Thus, the supreme personality is never under the time factor nor under the material energy purported by Śrīla Prabhupda. One should not think that the Lord is dependent on that time factor.
He actually creates a situation by which material nature acts and by which the conditioned soul is placed under material nature. Both the conditioned soul and the material nature act within the time factor, but the Lord is not subject to the actions and reactions of time, for time has been created by Him. To be more clear, Śrī La Viswanatha Chakravarti Takura says that creation, maintenance, and annihilation are all under the supreme will of the Lord. In Bhagavad Gītā 4:7 the Lord says yada hi dharmasya gladivar abyutta nama dharamasya todhatmanam sijam whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata and a predominant rise of irreligion at that time I descend myself since Kṛṣṇa, the supreme personality of Godhead, is the controller of everything, when he appears, he is not within the limitations of material time.
In this verse, the words kaalam and shadantang si jatisha indicate that although the Lord acts within whether Satyaguna, rajoguna or Tamil guna is prominent, one should not think that the Lord is under time’s control. Time is within his control, for he creates time to act in a certain way. He is not working under the control of time. The creation of the material world is one of the Lord’s pastimes. Everything is fully under his control. Since creation takes place when Raja Guna is prominent. The Lord creates the necessary time to give facilities for Raja Oguna. Similarly, he creates the necessary time to give facilities for maintenance and annihilation. Thus this verse establishes that the Lord is not under the limitations of time as stated in the Brahma Saṁhitā is Kṛṣṇa is the supreme controller Sat Chit Ananda Vigraha. He possesses a blissful spiritual body Anadhi.
He is not subordinate to anything as the Lord confirms in Bhagavad Gītā 77 nothing can be above Kṛṣṇa, for He is the controller and creator of everything. The Mayoradhi philosophers say that this material world is Mithya false and that one should therefore not bother about this Mithya creation. Brahma Satyang Jaganamity. But this is not correct. Here it is said Satan, whatever is created by the Lord, by the supreme Personality of Godhead Satyam Parang cannot be Mithya. The cause of the creation is Satya True. So how can the effect of the cause be Mithya? The very word Satya Krit is used to establish that everything created by the Lord is factual, never false. The creation may be temporary, but it is not false. Thus end the purport by his divine grace. Here we see that the Lord, he creates time. He creates the material energy.
There are five different existences. Energy of the Lord. There’s the material activities, there’s material energy. There is time, there’s the living entity and there’s the spiritual energy. These are the different energies of the Lord. So the material activities are under time and they are subject to change. They are temporary. But time is itself eternal. Time is eternal. The material energy she is eternal. The Jīva atmas are eternal and the internal potency is eternal. Everything is eternal except for material activities which are temporary. However, although material energy is eternal, the scientists also admit that. They call it conservation of energy. You cannot destroy the material energy. You can transform it, but you can’t destroy it. This is actually originally stated in the Bhagavad Gītā and in the Vedas that the material energy is eternal, but its activities and forms are temporary.
It is subject to mutation and this is because it is under the time factor. But time is another creation of the Lord. Therefore Kṛṣṇa Himself, he is never under the sway of this material energy or of the time factor, he is always transcendental. Govinda Karana he’s the cause of all causes. So these are great causes. This material energy is a cause for all the living entities bodies to be formed. But the cause is Kṛṣṇa. So the Lord, he is never dependent upon this material energy. Therefore he’s also not dependent upon any person in this material world. It is not that anyone has rendered service for Kṛṣṇa, some material activity or by some material activity that Kṛṣṇa is obliged. But out of Ka’s own causeless mercy he is very affectionate to his devotees. This is his equanimity.
Because the devotees, they are very affectionate to Kṛṣṇa. Therefore Kṛṣṇa reciprocates with them. The demons, they are very inimical to Kṛṣṇa. Therefore Kṛṣṇa reciprocates with them and he returns their enmity. This is Ka’s wonderful ability to deal with each person according to their desire. In the Bhagavad Gītā, Kṛṣṇa says Jataman Prabhupadyan teant to Dayva Bajamya that just according to how a living entity approaches me in the same way I reciprocate with Him. So if we approach Kṛṣṇa to kill him, the Kṛṣṇa will be glad to fight with us and he will kill us. If we approach Kṛṣṇa to serve him, he will be glad to accept our service and he will reciprocate in loving reciprocation to that service.
So it’s our choice whether we want to approach Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, in a loving devotional mood or if we want to approach him in some other mood which is unrecommended. For those people who say God is dead, for them, Kṛṣṇa, he remains uninterested in their activities because they are not concerned with Him. He remains unconcerned about them. Therefore they have no shelter. And as soon as their good activities, pious activities are extinguished again they are thrown into difficulty in this material world. So when Lord Caitanya Mahprabhu went to South India, then there were so many Buddhists who wanted to see Lord Caitanya. Ordinarily, Lord Caitanya wouldn’t see them. But out of his cause’s mercy he allowed to see them. And one of them, the Buddhist guru.
The Buddhist guru came up to Lord Caitanya and tried to defeat Lord Caitanya by his Buddhist philosophy. That everything is false, that this whole material world is all there is. There’s no spiritual energy. But Lord Caitanya smashed him in so many different ways with Kṛṣṇa conscious philosophy. And the Buddha’s could understand that we are not this body. That Lord Chaitanya was presenting this Vaishnav philosophy. And Lord Chaitanya was challenging him that how is it possible? Everything is false. How is it possible? Everything can come from a nothing. There must be one supreme personality of Godhood over everything. So he was defeated and feeling very bitter. He went back to his camp. This Buddhist monk. With his guru and the followers. And he made a plot that he would offer some rotten kind of food to the Lord. Some untouchable food.
(Side B of the Cassette)
So he came with a big plate of untouchable food to offer to Lord Caitanya and said, here, we’d like to present this wonderful foods to you. Hoping to destroy his devotional service. As he’s about to give the food, a large bird flew from the sky and picked up the plate and dumped all the rotten food on top of the Buddhist and then took up the plate and threw it smashed right on the head of that guru. And he was knocked unconscious. And all the followers, they all ran and touched Lord Caitanya’s feet, said, please, please forgive us. We are great offenders. Please save our Guru. So Lord Caitanya said, you all chant Hare Kṛṣṇa Shah in your guru’s ear. So they all went and they started to in the guru’s ear.
In this way, Lord Chaitanyana initiated them by telling them to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, and they initiated their guru by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa in his ear. So in this way, the process was reversed by Lord Caitanya’s will. And so then that Buddhist guru, he came conscious after hearing the holy name and surrendered at the lotus feet of Chaitanya Mahāprabhu. And he became a great devotee. So these Māyāvādī philosophers, their nature is very offensive. You see, when they say that material world is false, they mean to also say God is false. Everything is false. Only thing that is true in their mind is their own oneness with God. Their own exalted position is the only true thing. Everything else is false. So they become very offensive. Prabhupāda took objection. They’re saying, oh, God has no hands, he has no legs, he has no head.
If you would say to President Kardash that you have no hand, you have no head, you have no leg, people would become very offended. You may be thrown in jail for some kind of disrespect to the president. You start calling him headless handless. Although of course, the newspapers say anything. But ordinary people, they can’t get away with it. But these Mayavadis are so bold. They come out and say, oh, yes, God has got no hands, no feet, no legs, no. So they offend him in so many ways. Therefore, Mahāprabhu warns us that Māyāvādī, Kautha, Sunale, Jeeves, Haravona, that to hear the words of Māyāvādī means the spiritual to finish a living entity. It’s so dangerous. If one tries to understand and study what these Mayavadis are actually preaching, very dangerous philosophy that everything is one.
Now the Christians and the Jews are also slowly becoming contaminated by Māyāvādī impersonal philosophy. And we’re seeing more and more Christian publications where they say that God is one or that God is personal. So this is a great danger. We pray to see the Prabhupāda Namo Vishnu Padai which is Namaste Saraswati Dev Goravani Prachardane Nirvi Seisha Sunnavadi Paschatya Deshatanini. He preached against Sunyavadi Avektavadi against the impersonalist and the voidist of the Western countries. So Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission is to smash this type of impersonalist atheist and to actually bring them to the standard of pure devotional service. This has been handed down in the Cypric succession since time immemorial. In fact Madhvacharya, who is our Paramparam guru, one of our original Acharyas in the line, he was very actively opposing the Shankaracharya school.
And he was very successful in defeating Shankaracharya in South India and establishing the worship of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Later they became a little bit rigid in their conceptions and could not understand Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes in Vrindava. The other branches of the Madhya School but the branches branch which is coming down through Madhavindhapuri, Isharapuri, Caitanya Mahāprabhu have maintained the highest understanding of Rādhā Kṛṣṇa of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s transcendental pastimes and the Rd Bhāgavatam. But this idea of Paramparā, just as Kṛṣṇa says here we quote this one Shloka Jada hi Dharma Shyaglana Bhavati Bharata. We know that when Bhakti Vinothakra came down at that time there were so many disruptions in Vaiavism it was very hard to find a true Vaiava. In fact the self respect of Vaishnavas had fallen down very low because of so many unauthorized activities india in the name of Vaishnavism.
They were having midnight dances and things. And so these are highly unauthorized, different kind of imitation Raslihlas and distortions of the philosophy. So therefore people in general and the people were simply begging money to maintain their family life without doing any practical service for Kṛṣṇa. So Vaishnavas had begun to be known as sentimental, as bad moral standard. So in this type of a situation Bhakti Vinod Thakur was sent by Kṛṣṇa. It says here Dharma Glani. Glani means disruption of religion because there was disruption in Lord Caitanya’s movement. And Bhakti Vinod Thakur was sent to re establish proper system of Vaishnav worship. And he prayed that Kṛṣṇa would send him a song to assist him in establishing that Kṛṣṇa conscious environment. And Lord Kṛṣṇa sent Bhakti Siddhantas Arasvati Thakwa.
So Bhakti Vinod Thakur, he established during his time an organization called the Namhatta, the Naamahut or the marketplace of the Holy Name, where he would encourage individual grihastas to make their house a srādhā. Kuti or a kuti means a grass hut and sadha means faith. That means a faithful ashram where they would worship gaurāṅga in their house. He encouraged people to become peshadis or traveling salesmen of the Holy Name where they would simply go from house to house, village to village and distribute Kṛṣṇa consciousness as a traveling Sankirtan devotee and encourage people to get together at a common place and chant every morning Nagarkirtan. And he called that a prapanna Shrama. A prapanna means Prapanna is where one tries to satisfy the Lord.
So in this way he had between traveling salesmen, Prabana ashrams and Sardhakutis, he had at least 500 branches so far that I can understand all over India, especially concentrated in eastern India. And this way he was expanding his preaching. So it’s very important to see how active. And he was publishing regular magazine called Santoshoni or something, as well as one Siddhantimala, a very high philosophy magazine which would come off once in a while a little paper. And he would also publish a newsletter called the Godram called BA TV which was sent to all of his branches in that newsletter. I translated part of it last year from the original Bengali which was published in our Sankirtan newsletter. So Bhaktivedino Thakur, in his newsletter he revealed that for his organization he would have a 10 man panchayat. Panchayat means governing body.
And his 10 man governing body would meet periodically in private and discuss the policies for expanding their movement and whatever they published or decided mutually. That he said in his paper was to be accepted as non different from the order of Nityānanda Prabhu that was to be accepted as non different. Nithyananda Panda from the Order of Nithyananda or the order of the Guru Parampra. We know that Bhakti Siddhānta Saraswati Thakur, he had requested his disciples to form a governing body and manage their affairs cooperatively. Cooperation means that one’s individual freedom to do what one wants has to be sacrificed. That means cooperation and to work with the favor and agreement of other senior vaiavas. If everyone does simply as they feel, there’s no question of cooperation. That is known as anarchy or complete lack of coordination.
So cooperation Prabhupāda said that those disciples who love me, then when I am after I have left this material world, the proof of that will be how they’re able to cooperate together. What is the meaning of that cooperation? We see here that material energy time factor is underneath Kṛṣṇa. So the material nature is always trying to break things down. Kali Yuga means the age of quarrel. That means that quarrel means that I am stuck with my idea and you’re stuck with your idea. Then we fight it out. This is going on husband and wife, brother and sister, brother and brother, mother and son, father and daughter. It’s going on nation and nation, community and community. Everyone is sticking to their idea. So that is the age of quarrel. Kali.
So when Prabhupāda said to cooperate together, he also created a forum to do so in his presence. He created the governing body commission that senior devotees he appointed upon that commission and that they will be. He said that more should be added from time to time. And the idea is that whatever they sit down and decide at Māyāpur, that should be followed for the whole year. And if some emergency comes up, then they come together and can decide on that emergency. That is the meaning of cooperation. That no one will unilaterally change in the middle of the year, but he will wait for the judgment or for the whole body to sit down and decide something. It is a type of humility or surrender without which cooperation is simply a word.
So this is the order of Śrīla Prabhupāda that if you love me, you will cooperate together and stay within ISKCON society. And then another place he said in his will that in my absence the GBC shall be my representative. Another place and another will he wrote earlier said the GBC governing body commission will be the trustees of ISKCON and they will manage the ISKCON as such. So the idea is that Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted to preserve his teachings and his ideals as he has been handed down to the Guru Parampar. And any one person may have a slightly different viewpoint. So he impressed that his faith was upon the whole body for maintaining strictly his exact mood and the mood of the Paramparā that no individual should take that upon himself to be the crya in the sense of guiding the Whole society single handedly.
That is in the hands of the governing body commission. This is the order of our spiritual master. This is the order of our previous Crya. And if we have faith in the order of the previous Crya we know Crj Ma Jnama. But Kṛṣṇa is not different from the previous Crya. Or rather the previous Acharya is not different from Kṛṣṇa. And that one who has the implicit faith in Crya and in Kṛṣṇa. For him everything is revealed. All the mysteries of the Vedas. So by simply sticking to this simple principle of cooperation this society’s success is guaranteed. So long as also each leader and each devotee endeavors to maintain the purity.
Prabhupāda said that purity is the force that if we in this managerially, spiritually, behaviorally, if we maintain ourselves Kṛṣṇa consciously according to the directions that he’s given from outside there’s nothing that can impede our progress. It’s only from within. If we’re lacks in our spiritual Sadhana, our chanting, our regulative principles or if we lack cooperation and want to independently act. That is the only danger from outside what can stop Lord Chaitanyas movement? It’s simply we have to maintain our connection. Just like yesterday we’re trying to fix up the TV but because of loose connection there was. We have this, you know, video recorder with Kṛṣṇa conscious recordings on it. But because the wire from that recorder to the TV was loose. So therefore the picture was not coming properly.
Similarly, when our connection with Kṛṣṇa by strictly following the orders of our spiritual masters loose then we don’t get a clear picture in our mind what we should do, what we shouldn’t do. What will actually beneficial for us, what is not beneficial for us. We become bewildered. We just get this static image. So therefore we have to, you see, take all the rust off the connection and keep very tightly connected. Connected by following the instructions of our spiritual master. At the time of initiation we are sitting before the fire, Vishnu Jagga, before the deities, before the Guru, before the Vaishnavas and the assembly of demigods and devotees who are all present. In this way there are five Sakhis or witnesses. And we make our solemn promise that yes, I will chant 16 rounds a day. I will follow the four regular principles.
I will accept you as my spiritual master and your guidance as my life and soul. So therefore if we maintain that promise then we are always under Ka’s protection. Just as he has created time and the material energy he also has his spiritual energy, Subhadrā Devī. And that Subhadrā Vadra and Subhadrā. Subhadrā keeps us under her shelter. Those who are pure demons, devotees are kept under the shelter of Daivi of the Para Prakriti, the superior energy of the Lord. And those who are kept under this, who are not in Kṛṣṇa shelter for them Doyvi esha gunamayim, amamaya daratthaya Mamevajay prabhupadyante maayamay tan purantini. For them they’re under the difficult control, very difficult to get out of this material world until they surrender to Kṛṣṇa. So this is the parampar system which has been handed down to us. And it’s not very complicated.
In fact, it’s very logical and very proper from every different degree of analysis. But our nature in this material world is to always over complicate things. We see that devotees, in their everyday life, the tendency is always to make a simple situation very complex. And then from the complex situation it’s very easy to become bewildered and to become attached and to become implicated in different kind of material situations. But actually Kṛṣṇa Kant is meant for simple thinking, excuse me, simple living and high thinking. And that is easily maintained when we stay fixed in preaching. When our goals are to always expand this movement and to bring more and more pure living entities who have been contaminated in this material world back to their pure position, then everyone is very enthused. Just like there was a devotee who approached Haridas Thakur.
And he asked Haridas Thakwar that whether it is better to chant Japa softly or whether it’s better to chant Japa loudly. You see. So Harid asked Taqw. He replied that it’s much better to chant loudly. He said, although the scripture says both chanting softly and chanting loudly that when one chants softly and is listening, only himself can hear it. Only he himself can hear it. But someone who is chanting loudly, he gets a hundred times the benefit. Because so many living entities, birds, bees, insects, trees, other human beings, living entities, they’re all hearing the Holy name. Because so many living entities are benefiting by hearing his chanting. So whatever offenses he may be performing through just the nature of ourselves that we commit offenses, those are destroyed by chanting loudly, you see? Therefore it’s hundred times more effective.
One chanting softly may be inattentive, may have so many misconceptions and subtle offenses that he’s committing. But by loudly chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa Kishna Kṛṣṇa, Hare Ram, Ram Ram. She then gets hundred times the benefit. So it is not difficult to understand that if one chanting loudly because other people are engaged in Kṛṣṇa service or benefited by that he gets forgiven for offenses. Therefore, it’s much more beneficial than we can understand that because our movement is based upon having others hear the message of Kṛṣṇa. Therefore, the devotees in Kṛṣṇa conscious movement make advancement very rapidly because they cross over the offenses you see that are naturally there someone who is chanting loudly, he gets a hundred times the benefit. Because so many living entities, birds, bees, insects, trees, other human beings, living entities, they’re all hearing the Holy Name.
Because so many living entities are benefiting by hearing his chanting. So what offenses he may be performing through just the nature of ourselves that we commit offenses, those are destroyed by chanting loudly. Therefore it’s hundred times more effective. One chanting softly may be inattentive, may have so many misconceptions and subtle offenses that he’s to committed committing. But by loudly chanting then he gets hundred times the benefit. So it is not difficult to understand that if one chanting loudly because other people are engaged in Kṛṣṇa service or benefited by that he gets forgiven for offenses therefore is much more beneficial then we can understand that because our movement is based upon having.
