The following is a lecture given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on July 19, 1981 – in Madras, India. The lecture begins with a reading from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 4.18.6-7.

Allalitasi Visaka Nitansha Jayasi Kṛṣṇa Chaitana Prabhunityananda Jaya Guranharu Śrīvasati Go Rabhakta Brin Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare Ramo Hare Ram Ramdez Oṁ Namah Sudhibaya o Namah Devasudevaya Oṁ Namah Devasude Vaya Nārāyaṇanga Sara Sato Jet Mugakurotiva Shalanga Pangulangaya Samahanina Sarina Masi Chaitan Muaha Purāṇa.

Fourth Canto 18th chapter Six and 7th Shloka does everybody understand English? Does it need to be translated? Women also.

Purashta Yoshodhayo Brahmanagabishang Buddha mana moyadrishta asad bhir adita bratai apalatina da dita chabad chaudhe taloge hang ya gaati grasamo sadhi.

Translation spoken by mother earth to Muharaj Prithv my dear king, the seeds, roots, herbs, and grainsheen which were created by Lord Brahma in the past are now being used by non devotees who are devoid of all spiritual understanding. My dear king, not only are grains and herbs being used by non devotees, but as far as I am concerned, I am not being properly maintained. Indeed, I am being neglected by kings who are not punishing these rascals who have turned into thieves by using grains for sense gratification.

Consequently, I have hidden all these seeds which were meant for the performance of sacrifice purport by Śrīla Prabhupāda Lord Brahma created this material world for the use of the living entities, but it was created according to a plan that all living entities who come into it to dominate it for sense gratification would be given directions by Lord Brahma in the vedas in order that they might ultimately leave it this material world and return.

Home, home back to Godhead.

All necessities grown on earth, namely fruits, flowers, trees, grains, animals, and animal byproducts, were created for use in sacrifice for the satisfaction of the supreme personality of Godhead, Vishnu. However, the planet earth in the shape of a cow herein submits that all.

These utilities are being used now by.

Non devotees who have no plans for spiritual understanding. Although there are immense potencies within the earth for the production of grains, fruits and flowers, this production is checked by the earth herself when it is misused by non devotees who have no spiritual goals. Everything belongs to the supreme personality of Godhead and everything can be used for his satisfaction. Things should not be used for the sense gratification of the living entities. This is the whole plan of material nature according to the directions of this material nature in this words. In this verse, the words asad bhi and adrita vatai are important. The word asadbi refers to the non devotees.

The non devotees have been described in Bhagavad gītā as Duskritina miscreants, mudha asses or rascals, Narad hamah, lowest of mankind and Māyā Aparhitagana, those who have lost their knowledge to the power of the illusory energy. All those persons were asat non devotees. Non devotees are also called griha bratha, whereas the devotee is called dhrita bratha. According to plans, the misguided conditioned souls who have come to lord it over material nature should be trained to become dhritta vratha. This means that they should take a vow to satisfy their senses or enjoy material life only by satisfying the senses of the supreme lord. Activities intended to satisfy the senses of the supreme lord Kṛṣṇa are called Khila. This indicates that one can attempt all kinds of work, but one should do so to satisfy Kṛṣṇa. This is described in Bhagavad Gītā as ya gyartaat karma.

The word yajn indicates Lord Vishnu.

We should work only for his satisfaction. In modern times, kali Yuga people have forgotten Vishnu altogether and they conduct their activities for sense gratification. Such people will gradually become poverty stricken, for they cannot use things which are to be enjoyed by the supreme lord for their own sense gratification. If they continue like this, there will ultimately be a state of poverty and no grains, fruits, or flowers will be produced. Indeed, it is stated in the 12th canto bhāgavatam that at the end of Kali Yuga people will be so polluted that there will no longer be any grains, wheat, sugarcane, or milk. It is also explained in the Bhagavad gītā that if one eats food grains without offering them to the supreme personality of God, he is a thief and liable to be punished.

According to spiritual communism, all properties on the surface of the globe belong to the supreme personality of Godhead. The population has a right to use goods only after offering them to the supreme personality of Godhead. This is the process of accepting prasada. Unless one eats prasada, he is certainly a thief. It is a duty of governors and kings to punish such thieves and maintain the world nicely. If this is not done, grains will no longer be produced and people will simply starve. Indeed, not only will people be obliged to eat less, but they will kill one another and eat their own flesh. They are already killing animals for flesh. So when there will be no longer grains, vegetables and fruits, they will kill their own sons and fathers and eat their flesh for sustenance.

Thus end the purports of text six and seven, by his divine grace. So here mother earth was called by.

Maharaj Prixit, the Shaktabesh Avatar Abhishnu, who.

Had come as a perfect king, because he saw the people were working hard.

Yet they were not getting the fruits.

Of their work in the proper proportion. So he called mother earth. Why you are not giving the grains? Why you are not giving forth the fruits of the land? People are working hard, why they are suffering? Why they are starving mother earth. She expressed that because the people are.

Working, but they are not using their grain. In jagya, jaggya vai, Vishnu.

Bhutani.

All.

The grain, the anna is meant for jaggya, performance of sacrifice to be offered to the lord. So Mother Earth said that they’re simply.

Growing, cooking, eating, thus they’re thieves.

All they’re doing is taking the seed and sowing it.

They’re getting.

But what about the air, the light, the water, myself, the earth they are not providing? This is provided by Vishnu through his different energies. So how they are returning either to demigod or to Vishnu? If someone takes and doesn’t offer anything to the owner in return, that is thieving, stealing some others earth proposition. But why shouldnt I reduce my production? Theyre not giving it to the owner.

Theyre taking and eating bhoga. If they use the grain for jaggya, then I would be very satisfied to.

Give as much as they like. I was living in the village for the past ten years. Last two years I am traveling. Before that ten years, I am living in villages, mainly in Bengal, Bihar. Sometimes I spend Andhra village and Orissa village. And there the people told me that they heard from their great grandfathers that before, with a little cultivation, so much produce would be given. Now, as the production is going down, they add fertilizer and more fertilizer to maintain high production. And then finally the soil becomes dead. You know, in the United States of America, there’s a place known as the cotton ball, as the corn belt. These are very rich agricultural areas.

They provide so much grain that they’re.

Exporting to Russia and to all countries around the world. They’re also burning even the grain from that. But there’s one area where they simply.

Put so much urea, ammonia sulfate fertilizer.

Taking the grain that they killed all the soil that is known today as.

The dust bowl because they ruin the soil.

Simply taking, taking, taking. Now the earth no longer produces anymore and simply dust is there. If the wind blows, all this topsail comes up as dust. And the grain production is practically nothing. Everyone is shifted to another vast miles and miles of land, deserted dust bowl. So the earth, if we misuse the earth, of course, the scientists, then they.

Tell us, well, if we use the.

Proper amount of organic manure, so on and so forth, we can.

Keep this.

Soil in proper tune. But the real secret for success.

Is.

To use all the gifts of nature after offering them in the service of Kṛṣṇa, of Vishnu. Yajgya vai, Vishnu, hari Toshana. Goal of life is to satisfy Hari.

Isha, Vasyamidanga, Jagadjang, Jagadhena, Jagtaina, bhunchita.

The lord, he lets everyone. You see, the lord is the lord of everything. But he lets everyone have their kota.

What they need, take what they need.

All the wealth, all the things they need. But not to unnecessarily amass more than they need. And whatever they take, the secret is that should be given in sacrifice. You see how nice it is today, we have taken so many grains, so much ghee, so much rice, vegetables, fruit, sugar cane, water, heat combined together to make, you see, wonderful foodstuffs. Then we take those food stuffs and we prepare a nice platter, put a tulsi leaf place before the lord.

Jagannath Subladeva offer with mantram.

It is of nivedyam. And then the lord takes and we take the remnants, which is known as prasadam. But there’s no loss. It is not that Kṛṣṇa takes all of the prashant and leaves only a small fraction to our eyes. It appears that the same amount is there that we are offering. So where is the loss? Simply that the thought, the devotion, the energy is placed. This is an offering before Kṛṣṇa takes. We will not taste it. And then it is offered with a devotion.

Just like Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

He would go every morning to Jagannath temple in Purī and see the morning artihe there. One day, they gave him some cashew, cashew nut purshadam. And he tasted. And as he was tasting, his eyes filled with tears of love. And he turned to his followers and.

He gave each of them one of the cashews. He said, taste this prasadam of the Lord. How many times in our life we.

Have had a cashew.

Not what is in it. But this cashew, because it is the pura, it is the offering tasted by the Lord. What a taste. What an experience. What a ruchi, what a saada. Because the nectar, the Omrit from the.

Lord’s lotus mouth has been somehow combined with this offering.

Therefore, now it is tasting out of this world.

It is tasting inconceivable.

And everyone tasted that Prashada.

And they all experienced transcendental vicar, transcendental change their consciousness.

Our founder, Acharya Bhaktived.

These are the.

Weapons which he took from sacred Bharat.

He took the agavata, he took this.

Coal, the drum and the symbol, the karatal. And he knew how to prepare Kṛṣṇa for shalom.

And he would go sometime he would.

Stand in a public park alone chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa Kīrtana.

People would gather around. When he had 50, 60 people, he.

Would start to speak from Gītā, Saravadharman, Pritta.

He would tell them, you are not.

This body, you’re not American, you’re not Chinese, you’re not Indian, you’re not Russian, you are not body. This body is machine. You are Ātmā jīva, ātmā najayate, niya tevakada chin.

You’re never born, you never die. This body dies when the soul leaves the body. The body dies when the soul takes.

Puna janma into a new womb. A new body is formed, a new life going through six changes again. Body is no longer habitable. Soul leaves, that is known as death of the body. Soul goes on living to a new.

Body in this way.

Poona janmo. So you are not this body.

Try to understand. He would tell the people.

You are not the body. You are the spiritual energy.

And this world is material energy.

Spiritual energy, material energy are all coming from Bhagawan. He is energetic, he is Shaktima Parasha, Shakti Vividaya, Visruyate. The Lord says in UpaniSHads, he has got various types of energies.

He alone, one is feeding everyone, maintaining everyone. Ants, birds, animals, humans, demigods, everyone.

Tell them, you are not this body.

Try to understand. And so, because those people could understand.

That they’re not this body. Therefore they could accept Kṛṣṇa, Jagannath, Ram and the great devotees, Mohade, sheep, Brahma nad Prahlad as worshipable, the guru as worshipable.

Otherwise they would say, no, we have our own national gods, either Jesus or this one or that one, whatever it may be, depending on the nation.

But no, they can understand. Lord is Nithyam, Ātmā is Nithyam, Nithya samandam. Eternal relationship is there.

I have nothing to do with this body. This is temporary house, not a permanent residence. So therefore he can unite everyone. Prabhupāda went and united everyone.

Then, you see, he invited everyone to come. Sit down. You taste some Kṛṣṇa prasadam.

He would give them so many nice preparations.

Puris and sambaras, dals and halwa, vegetables, pakoras, chutneys, and then the sweet rices, spiced rices, palaus with cashews and raisin, other type of mixed with the rice and ghee. So many nice preparations. And the people said, we never knew that there were so many nice things to eat. And when they took, because it was Kṛṣṇa Prasadam, they would start to laugh and become very jolly.

And some people, they would come every.

Week being attracted by the very nice taste of the indian prashad.

So Prabhupāda said, this is our poison. We are poisoning them. They get poison from the material. Just like, of course, in a good way. You can say that medicine is the.

Poison of a disease.

If someone has a disease, when one takes medicine, that is the poison for that disease. It kills the disease.

In this material world, everyone is diseased. They all want to enjoy materialistic life.

Even though theyre not able to enjoy to their full satisfaction, even though without desiring it. So many dangers, emergencies, accidents, difficulties, disease.

Old age, death, always come the desire, the appetite.

I want to enjoy this materialistic life is so strong in the passionate human beings.

It is a disease. Brahminical culture, real brahminical culture means to be enjoyed by Kṛṣṇa, to realize the.

Transcendental world and the transcendental happiness.

So Śrīla Prabhupāda, he would introduce this poisonous. What is that? Kana? Kṛṣṇa, Prasana.

By taking then all the western people.

They gradually became addicted to Kṛṣṇa. Without Kṛṣṇa, their life wasn’t complete.

Then they could see what they were missing. Actually, they simply got cured from the material disease.

Our disease is, we think that somehow.

Or another we will be happy without.

Vishnu, without the lord. Just like a small baby, he may.

Want to wander off from the parents thinking, I will go and see so many things.

But as the baby starts to go away, loses sight of the parents, suddenly becomes frightened and cries, mommy, daddy, help. And the mother and father run and grab. Yes, yes. What is it? You see, so like this, we have.

Wandered away from Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa, we have.

Wandered away so far from Kṛṣṇa, from Vishnu, that even now we cry. We don’t any longer remember who is there to protect us? Who is there to save us. Therefore, Kṛṣṇa has come himself he sends his devotees to remind there is a protector, there is a lord, there is a master and unless you are under his asraya, Asray bi Graha unless you are under his shelter then you are like onatha, you are like an orphan. No protection. No protection. Sama Sitaji, padapalaba the great souls.

They.

Take shelter at the lotus feet of Murāri these lotus feet are like a boat which can cross over all the dangers, all the difficulties of life this material world is like a vast ocean babam Bhuri of birth and death so this boat crosses over the ocean of birth and death very easily what is someone raised a question? Do we cross over with a boat? How will the people on the other side? How will they get over? No problem. What’s the padangapodanga padang? That ocean becomes reduced to the size of the impression if a cow scarfs hoof Vatsapadang one easily crosses over to the supreme goal of life this is how the great sages easily cross over this ocean of birth and death they never take shelter of this dangerous.

World and put the full faith that.

By my own intelligence, by my own.

Power, by my own endeavor I will.

Protect myself because they know padanga padang yadvi padang natasha every step is filled with danger this doivi shaguna mai this material Māyā energy is very powerful, very great we are higher spiritual energy but we are very minute, we are very small, infinitesimal therefore, we need the protection of the higher energy the pura prabhti, Kṛṣṇa’s internal potency and Kṛṣṇa someone who does not have this protection it’s very difficult to get out of this material energya. Very difficult mami bhaji prapadyanki who surrenders to me Kṛṣṇa says, my ami tantrantiti I deliver him from this material world where’s the difficulty? The Kṛṣṇa comes down. He’s not ordinary man janmakarama shame dibyam ivan j o vedi tattvata his birth, his activities are all chinmayam transcendental if someone can understand what is the transcendental nature of the lord’s avatar? His birth, his līlā, his activities then what happens?

Kṛṣṇa assures anyone who knows this secret, this Rahasyam, this mystery Poona Jan manaiiti manaiti for him, rebirth is finished he goes back to Kṛṣṇa, never to come back nabna Banti Mahatma to this material world, never to come back so this human life has got intelligence not to use it simply in a hangit dermaituni bhoi. Animals are having, eating, sleeping, mating, sex, life. Animals are having these things. Nothing very special. The human life is not simply meant to cultivate these activities. It is meant for cultivating higher spiritual culture, regulating the material animal instincts.

In.

Such a way that it does not impede our higher spiritual development. So this sublime movement is a universal movement. It goes beyond all sectarian bars. Everyone can learn from this science. Caitanya Maharu is the most recent avatar. He has predicted in the shastras that in Kali Juga, Lord will come as Channa avatar. As he covered avatar to establish the Nama jagga Saṅkīrtana jaggae. So he came, but he didn’t proclaim himself, I am Bhagawan. He came as devotee, but he was discovered by all the great scholars. He came through the whole south India for six years, 500 years ago. And he told the people, some people said, I want to leave my family and join you. He said, don’t dare say that again. When Kurma Brahman, he said, you must stay in your house, stay in your village. But you preach.

You chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, and you preach to all your other friends to take the holy name. Thus, you make everyone God conscious. That will make them happy. He told them.

Everyone.

You see, you tell him about this transcendental message.

(Side B of the Cassette)

Most highly cultured. They’re brought up in Kansas atmosphere, God conscious atmosphere from their very childhood. Very easily they can practice these principles and perfect their life. Therefore he said, Bharat Bhumite, Manusha, Janmohelojar. Those who have taken human birth in the holy land of Bharat India, Janmashhartha Koro, perfect your lives. Understand the teachings of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. He has come to tell the four Vaishnavasam, Pradayas, Ramanuja, Muddha, Charya, Nimbaraka, Sami, Bishnu Sami, and to unite them by taking the essence of all their philosophy and presenting it in a combined way, in a practical way, for even the common man to practice. So he said that every indian Janmashatta koro, perfect your life, Koro Poro, pookar. And then disseminate, distribute this message everywhere, all over the world and deliver all the fallen people. Give them this pure spiritual bliss.

Be happy in God consciousness and make others happy. This was his simple request. This is the same request Sami Prabhupāda Bhaktivedanto Shami has made all over the world. So we are not very expert in chanting all these sanskrit mantrams, in doing all of the rituals of the Vedas. Somehow or another, we are studying Gītā Bhāgavatam, some Sanskrit, and we are trying to carry out the order of our previous acharyas, previous preceptors. They have stressed that practicing and preaching are the essence, more so than the rituals. So therefore, we are confident that even there may be some slight defect that with a sincere effort that people can understand that our intention is pure and our goal is transcendental and beneficial to everyone.

And therefore, we are simply soliciting to all the pious people, responsible people of society, for their cooperation, their sahanabhuti, their good will and assistance and reestablishing amongst the people a Kṛṣṇa consciousness, a God consciousness, which will bring in a real harmony, crossing over all the barriers erected by this yuga of dissension. Khalid, thank you very much. Hare Kṛṣṇa hare Kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa hare hare Rāma hare rāma rāma hare. Are there any questions?

But we are the part and parcel of integrity. So we are the partly entire also in this material world. Because when we are the part, so material was also not permanent, temporary. We are also for temporary, so we can enjoy it for temporary. So pray, we will depart from this entertainment. We will give devotion to Kṛṣṇa.

You see, Kṛṣṇa is the Jagdapurusha Swaram Sarava, Bhutani. He is the lord of all the living entities. We are no doubt his part and parcel. But we are the Shakti. He is the purusha. So the relationship between Shakti and Purusha is that the Shakti serves purusha. Part serves the whole. The hand is part the body. This hand is to serve the body. If the hand says that body is enjoying, I will independently enjoy. I will simply move, shake. Then the hand will become a spastic. It is eased when the hand is working in harmony with the body. When it is working to benefit the whole body. Does not the hand benefit? Is not the hand enjoying? Hand may be giving the food in the mouth. Is the hand being deprived? Or is that hand benefiting by feeding the mouth? What do you say?

You say our illusion is in this material world. We are imitating the jagya purusha. We are imitating. But why? Even you say that we should enjoy. Then why? No one is enjoying? Why? They are suffering also? Someone may enjoy for a few moments, but that enjoyment is also filled with suffering. Pardon? You see, a simple example is given. A fish. You know fish. Fish. They swim in the water. If you take a fish outside the water, you put it in a nice golden box with silk pillows, one air conditioner fan, incense, radio, tv, video, Mercedes, everything. You give that fish but no water. Then fish is going to be happy. You see, we are not part of this material world. What does it say? Bina prokitiyoshtuddha.

We are not earth, we are not water, we are not fire, we are not air, we are not ether neither we are mind, neither were intelligence neither we are. These are separate Bhutas. Separate. I 11th aparayamitas twanyam prakiti vidhi me param jeeva, bhuta mahā bahu. We are the superior energy struggling with this material world. Struggling to enjoy. So when we give up this idea that I will enjoy the material world, you see, Rabuna, he had the idea I will enjoy Sītā Lakshmi, this material energy spirit. I will enjoy Hiranyakashi. He had the idea, I will enjoy everything. So they’re always killed by the lord. They’re always killed. She was torn by Nara Shing Hadeb. Ravana was shot by the arrow of Ramachandra. Why? Because they think I must enjoy. The devotee also enjoys. But the mood is different.

Their real desire is to enjoy the higher bliss. This material world. We have to eat, we have to sleep. We have our children, our family life, we have our work. No one is deprived of these things. But simply what is the goal? To make more and more and more of the same thing or no? To do our work and to ultimately reach Kṛṣṇa, ultimately reach the supreme goal. One is simply absorbed in amassing more material energy. How much you can eat today? We have feast today. Instead of one plate, you take ten plates. Can you do it? You bust the Kṛṣṇa. He can think. Unlimited Lord Shiva, he drank the whole ocean of poison. We can’t even eat one bucket of sweet nectar, sweet rice. That will kill us. What to speak of ocean of poison? We can take one drop of poison, we will die.

So to think that this material world we will enjoy that is poison. We should know that this material world, what we need to keep body and soul together, we should extend it beyond that. We shouldnt try so hard. Automatically happiness will come, misery will come. Maybe people have to take the prasada. Some people are leaving. Are there any other questions? How much time it will take for the collision? Particularly how much time will take that can happen immediately. Sometimes in case of suicide and certain type of violent death, there’s no immediate Poorna Dhanma that is known as a bhuta or ghostly status. Very hellish condition. So many desires, but no body. But in normal sequence, one is immediately taken to the next body. Sometimes people are in a coma and they are remaining almost they are alive but just unconscious for a long time.

ComA means that the Devotas, JAMaraj and other devotas, they’re discussing, they’re deciding and they’re not decided at that time. They’re waiting for the next body to come available. So they’re just in coma as soon as they decided. And what is the next body is available, they die and go into the next body. Even sometimes the hellish existence may be there. Sometimes the heavenly existence, that depends one’s karma. So this is a science of transcending karma. You know how even there was the great rinkide runta Dev, Rank Ranti Dev. He was giving out so much charity profuse to the Brahmanists that by accident one time he gave one cow to one Brāhmaṇa. The cow went back into the group, he gave it out twice again to another Brāhmaṇa.

The both Brahmanas said that this cow you gave to me, he fell at their feet and he prayed. It’s a great opera here. Either one of you take one lakh cows in exchange for this and forgive me. They said, no, we won’t forgive. Each one said, I want that cow. And they both, they left and cursed him. Did you have done a great offense. You have given away the cow twice to two different people. And then his next birth, he was cursed, he became a lizard. Nriga. Oh, that’s Nriga. Excuse me, King Riga. So of course, then he was delivered by Kṛṣṇa and he got the highest perfection. But the example is there by Karma. Sometime we may make. I will give so much charity, I will do so much pious work, I will do so many good work.

And this way I will be very happy, I will go to Swarg or I will have a very happy material life. But if we make a small defect, then we’re in trouble. So rather than depending on our pious activity, simply the karmas. This transcendental science of actually devoting ourselves to God, to Kṛṣṇa, this is a much higher level. This is a transcendental platform. Serving the lord is nothing to do material. It’s atit or above all of the gunas. Tamma, Raja, Satta, Guna, teeth, Brahma, Bhuvaya, Kalpate. It is on the Brahma stage, transcendental stage. Just like when you offer a jagya, that home, that fire, that is the mouth of Vishnu, that is transcendental. The brahmanas offering, Swaha. He is offering the ghee into the fire, the ghee that is considered to be on the transcendental platform, the PUJARI or the priest offering.

He is at that moment on the transcendental, the utensil, this one wooden spoon which is used, that is also transcendental. And the other person for whom he is doing it and other witnesses, they are also being purified. And on the transcendent, everything is consumed in TraNscendenCE. So same way when one is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, chanting The lord is transcendental, the chanter, he is also transcendentally engaged. When one is offering himself in sacrifice, just like the great king, Buddhist, he would sweep the floor with his own hand, he would offer the incense, he would touch the feet of the devotees, he would take the prasadam, he would tell his children lessons about Kṛṣṇa. He would engage his whole body in the service of lord. Therefore, everything became one in the transcendental platform, it all became transcendental.

So it’s better to depend on the transcendental mercy of the Lord than on our own karma. Because our own karma, we may anytime make a mistake and then we’re in trouble. Hare Kṛṣṇa. Any other questions? Just before the preparing the prashadam. Now, in the meantime, any last question from any of the mothers, fathers, children? I was just three weeks ago in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, there everyone is. All the Hindus are tamil speaking, 10%, 15% Hindu. And then rest is Muslim and Chinese. So they’re really starved for association from sadhus and these things, although materially they have more or less nice facilities. So there we have many. One station master of the big station, they are retired. He’s a disciple of mine. And I have four or five disciples there and one police chief. He’s also disciples. So they’re all organizing nice programs.

People there are really enthusiastic. I find that when the Indians go to the west, of course, then they’re very eager for the material enjoyment. But when they go just a little bit like in Bangladesh or in Malaysia, places like that where they are a minority, then they feel some pressure that they have to practice. And here india, a lot of times people take it for granted about practicing or really taking so much of an interest. Not always, but sometimes, just like in Bangladesh, I find that the Bengalis there, 15% Hindus are there, 85% Muslim there feel very much oppressed because of their being a minority religion. And they’re always being economically, politically suppressed. So it’s very difficult just by accepting their dharma they have to suffer so much. So for them it’s a very important thing that they are following the Vedas.

Because of that. Every moment they’re reminded in so many ways they have to accept so many difficulties. So they’re very enthusiastic to make the most of it. That is a tendency that when we’re in difficulty, we depend on Lord more. When we have some nice situation, when there’s not so much pressure on us, then we start to take everything for granted. Well, we don’t need to chant now. We don’t need to serve now so much, a little. We will do something. That is our tendency. So there’s a description in the shastra that when someone is in distress, in economic need, inquisitive or in knowledge, then he calls upon the Lord. Just like during the examination, all the students are worshipping Saraswati, worshipping the different demigods to get the pass of their examination. Other times they’re not so devoted.

But that time all the temples are packed, specific temples. Similarly, other difficult times come. So they’re only the partial recipient of Lord’s mercy, the pure devotees. They’re receiving the Lord’s mercy all the time. So we simply want that the people can receive Lord’s mercy always, every moment. Why should we wait till we’re in difficulty? He is willing to give us his mercy always. Why should we wait till we’re in difficulty then ask please help helps, then we forget, then we’re in difficulty please help, then helps but he’s willing that if we’re always asking for his help, he will always give us his help. So the devotee knows how to always get the mercy of the Lord. Constant connection is jog.

So there in Malaysia, they are already setting up these hari nams and kirta and mandalams, Mandalis in each city chanting they feel that we’re separated from India culturally distance wise. Ready? Hare Kṛṣṇa. Thank you very much. I don’t think I can feed everyone at the same time.

So some of you can have any more questions.

Stay here. They can go up and see me if anybody wants any more.

Dashan upstairs and go to his room. Either before after the palace laden it so you don’t see the Mahatma Jacobi taboo. Jello Bella Mother of, you know, marriage but you know, follow to marry. Do more favorite sorry holy Ray or may not be Sarah army Mahatma yeah, but keep up to it. Sana be gone always the donut. Told you. Keep it all into this Sadario need your spinach just to get thrown up or Mukinra Hamara.
