The following is a lecture given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on August 14, 2003 in Bhaktivedanta Manor, London, England. The lecture begins with a reading from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 4.24.1-3.
They are the preparations to Brahmastami festival. Enthusiasm and devotion key all glories to the Asam and devotees all glories to the asm of devotees. Ma. Sam. It. Sam. Translation By His Divine grace Ac Bhakti Devant the great sage Mahritryya continued Vijtasva, the eldest son of Maharaj Prithu, who had a reputation like his father, became emperor and gave his younger brothers different directions of the world to govern, for he was very affectionate toward his brothers. Report by Śrīla Pan after describing the life and character of Maharaj Prithu in the previous chapter, the great sage Maitreya began to speak about the sons and grandsons in the genealogical line of the Kichu dynasty. After the death of Maharashtra, his eldest son Vijitaswa became emperor of the world, Was very affectionate towards younger brothers.
And therefore he wanted them to rule different directions on the world. From time immemorial the eldest son generally becomes king after the death of the previous king when the Pandavas ruled the earth, Maharaj Yudhishthir, the eldest son of King Pandu, became emperor and his younger brothers and sisters. Similarly, King Budgetasu’s younger brothers were appointed to govern the different directions of the world. Dakshinam prachiti prati chin sañjaya surya. Maharajitasu offered the eastern part of the world to his brother Aliyaksha, southern part to Groom Radcia, western Padu Rica and northern part to Dravina. Text3 also talks about finish up the king Maharaj Antaghana Gating Sakral Lagvantin, Formerly Maharaj Vijtasa pleased the King of heaven Indra and from him received the title Antardhana. His wife’s name was Sikandini and by her he begat three good sons. Mahaj Vijtaswa was known as Antargana, which means disappearance.
He received this title from Indra and refers to the time Indra stole Maharaj Kuttu’s horse from the sacrificial arena. Indra was not visible to others when he was stealing a horse, but Maharaj Pitu’s son Vijtasva could see him. Yet despite his knowing that Indra was taking away his father’s horse, Vijtaswa did not attack him. This indicates that Mahārāja Vijtaswa respected the right persons. Although Indra was stealing the horse from his father, Vijtasa knew perfectly well that Indra was not an ordinary thief. Since Inda was a great and powerful demigod and servant of the supreme personality of Godhead Vichitasa purposely excused him due to sentiment only, even though Indra was acting wrongly. Thus Indra became very pleased with Vijtasa. At that time, the demigods had the great mystic power, being able to appear and disappear according to their will.
And since Indra was very pleased with Jitasha, he bestowed this mystic power upon him. Thus Vijitasa became known as Antaghana. Thus end the Bhaktivedanta Swami. Translation purports for texts 1, 2 and 3 of the 24th chapter 4th Canto Śrīmad Bhāgavatam in the matter of chanting the song sung by Lord Shinga. So Purāṇas have got different constitutional topics that they have to cover. One of those topics is the history of the world. World Purāṇa means history means old. And therefore it’s giving a lineage of certain great dynasties. That way we can trace out the history of the worlds. This is not a mythology, Is actually history. I was recently at. I was at the Woodstock festival in Poland and surprising enough, they put us in an institute this stay the Sannyasis. And the room I was put in was the art room on the wall.
They had different types of art, especially the grand masters. So they had one picture, it said Bible or biblical and it had biblical motifs, art. And then had other except mythology. And there they put things about the Greek and the Norwegian and the Scandinavian, mainly Greek and mythology. Now I was just noting the distinction how they put biblical. And there was a thorough story about a lady that had a child from a swan and the two children hatched out of eggs. Now there’s a lot of viral things in biblical texts which. And the art there you could really see it was amazing. But if you would dare to call any biblical text in mythology, you’d have a big fight on your hands. People would become very offended.
But purposely, Max Muller, when he translated the Vedic text for the Purāṇas, he used the word mythology. Indians generally speaking, Hindus don’t realize that he did a number on that. That he purposely used that word to reduce the Vedic literature is from shastra from scripture status, which is not criticizable to folklore, myths and unsubstantiated kind of stories. And that was later and actually now as a part of the history of Max Noodle who is one of the. He was a Christian priest who had gone to India and he couldn’t convince the Brahmanas. He said he wrote a letter to some other priests in Germany and England that these priests here india, the Brahmins they’re very faithful to their ideology and they’re very knowledgeable. So we cannot defeat them on an ordinary way.
So what I want to do is bypass them and make them irrelevant. I am going to learn myself Sanskrit language, and I am going to translate the text into English. And since all the young people are being educated in English, they won’t know what the original text said. They will only know what I translate for them. And I am going to translate them in such a way that I will undermine their faith in their scriptures. Of course, he’s highly respected india, but very few people understand that his whole purpose for learning was to convert people from Hindu dharma to Christianity, the undermining of faith. So this is a kind of problem that we face when we talk because Indians themselves don’t generally know English so well. They don’t really know the context that if you say, oh, yes, this is our Hindu mythology, they don’t realize what they’re saying.
This is a Hindu fiction. They don’t know that. It’s not actually. It’s Hindu history. It’s a history of the world. Not even Hindu history. It’s the history of the whole world. Nobody else knows what happened. This is millions of years ago. This is a time when there’s no recorded history other than the Vedas. So I was really upset the first time somebody told me. I realized that it’s all a plot by Max Mulu and other people, I think. So I just like to keep people informed. That’s why we have Indians who say this is we worship our idols. He translated the word vigraha as idol purposely so that people would think, you know, have all. Of course, because people don’t know. They’re just thinking in their mind, Vigraha, Purāṇa, Shastra. Okay, let me call it.
Because they don’t understand the overall context until what’s written. So it didn’t have the big effect we wanted. But what it does do, if somebody uses those words, it definitely will turn away a Western person brought up in a Christian orientation. Because those words have all negative connotations. An idol is a false God or some kind of imagined God. Bible says don’t worship idols, but our vigrhads are not idols. They’re worshipable deities who are installed according to our scriptures. When somebody just imagines that any stone, there’s a deity by the Shalayam is put up any stone, then that’s idol worship. There’s a devotee of Lord Nityānanda called Abhiram. Thakur, we talked about him last a few days ago. He was actually Śrīdhar, who just was reoriented to continue on with the pastimes of Lord Chittenden. So he had the power.
Whenever he would bow down to a deity, if it wasn’t khaki installed, if it was the stone that wasn’t the shaling gram sila, he would put so much bhakti in his obeisances, so much respect, so much devotion, that if it wasn’t a bona fide shalingam pow, just disintegrating blow up. If he bowed down to Nithyananda’s sons. And every son was dying one after another because they weren’t bona fide devotees or something. They weren’t good enough to be Nitinanda’s children. So they were dying. So every time he came, the mother was, you know, very abstinent, worried one after another, all the children were dying. What do you think of that? So finally here Gokshay Vishnu became the son of Nityānanda and became Birchandra. And mother Ganges became the daughter. So then when went and bowed down to them. Look at this. That was interesting.
It shows how there’s a big difference between a real deity and a deity which is an imitation. So deities are different than idols. Purāṇas are not mythology. Purāṇas. We should somehow eradicate this mythology connotation. What we’re reading about here, Preacher Maharaj existed in Mayaka. We have a picture of pundit. We have a place where he visited. He was there. It’s not a myth. He was there. The lake is still there now. The lake was filled up again a thousand years ago. It was re excavated. Now it’s kind of half filled up again. So this has been going on for a long time. It’s a low area. It’s a long time ago since preacher, that was the place they know that he visited. And there are places around the planet where Krisha Maharaj had left his footprint. So he had some. Number of sons.
And the eldest son, he became the emperor after Peter. This is the history like so many other histories that are also here in England. They have the history exactly. You know, after George and after Henry and after this, you know, Henry V. Here’s the history of who are the rulers of the planet since the time of Pithu. You’re coming from a long way. And they go very quickly to the different kings until you hit a devotee. I mean, Vijtasa is pretty prominent person to get two verses otherwise goes to Then he hits someone who some amazing pastime happened. Then goes on for the we get up to Pachina Bahi and the Pachetas and they will finish the rest of the chapter. So we’re going to make a couple of chapters. That’s how Quran is. It gives history in the historical context.
It’s giving you the pastimes about the Lord. The system at that time the whole world was under one emperor and he had different governors and kings under him. Sa. Fourth canto and as you go when we get to the ninth canto we get up to Lord Ramchandra. Go through a lot of different you know to Ramchandra in between there’s some different pastimes and different Kish is the Lord Kṛṣṇa. So this is part of the Purāṇa. So the Ethiopia give us the history of the world, history of the Lord incarnations come here. So the system then was there was our emperor for the world. I was. Considering how like today reading newspaper for help all over the world with some of the horrible wars going on in different countries and Liberia civil wars from rich in that country since it’s inception.
More people getting killed, different forces. A world government is a solution to that. England was all over the world was a vast empire at one time. And you could say for a long period of time there was peace within the empire that they were ruling. I was reading about Benjamin Franklin some places came here in London and David hisse about how he was, you know they’re all Englishmen, all the American founding fathers or English and they their claim was we don’t want to pay taxation unless we have representation. And there was already democracy then. They were English and because they were in the colonies they had to. They weren’t taxed so that was a good tax. They didn’t want to stay in the colonies. But then England wanted to tax their colonies.
So they said you want to tax us and give us representation, give us a vote in the House of Commons too. But for some reason England didn’t give columns they didn’t want and just thinking how the whole history of the world would have been changed. Whoever were the members of Parliament at that time had given American colonies the vote, the representation, some kind of representation. England would probably still be the if England had given a vote to India there wouldn’t be India or there wouldn’t be American. There would be a vast empire in the English empire. Of course England itself would be a minority in terms of representation in Canada. Anyway that’s not how history happened. But at some Point in time having a world government would be very useful to stop all these little wars that are going on.
Because at that time you had one king, one emperor and all the kings under he had more military power, he could impose peace, assembly started fighting against each other. In those days of course the chepyas would fight against the cheptis, the women of all the shalom people. So anytime they speak they just had duels like the old wars of the duels anybody else. So the world was a much more peaceful place. Now we have all these little countries but the United nations is very weak. So anyone that’s a little powerful they can do what they want and later. Try to work it out or something bring the world very easily into a war situation. Anyway, it’s not a topic but this is something that the Prabhupāda was discussing that in the future having a world government would actually be useful to those five countries.
Those are reasonable. So in that relevance in that relation we can see that here that there was a one world government. At that time I was the priest who played. As long as the ruler is good then the world is decent. The government has to be fair and equitable. So that kind of a setup maybe under the United nations something is in there because the present thing is not working. We get some tyrant entrance in some country. I think Saddam was in Iraq and they culture all their people and kill people and then there’s no hope for anybody. So in the Vedic time there were certain rules. A ruler, if he wasn’t following the rules, he could be the rules he had to. Every ruler had to follow the Vedic rules. They have to be charitable, they have to be just.
They have to be if they want. Just like the Brahmanas removed Prithu’s father Venus. They see what’s the rasul right now. If you got some tyrants somewhere and watch the culture, the people do revolution and then revolution means, you know, very bloody guerrilla warfare, terrorism. When we see what we have today in the world and you see that what the situation was before, you can see. Well this anyway, that’s the system. I forget what the official name of that is called technical word in English where the monarchy passes on to the eldest son. There’s no eldest son. Then how it passes on with. It seems that code was just used millions of years ago in the time of pretty Mars. It’s still followed even here in England. There’s no sun and it becomes queen. Otherwise there’s a sun and it becomes a sun.
So we Have Prince Charles to. Then we have william to follow that same system. But then in those days they would divide up the emperor and then they would give different parts of the world to other of the family members to rule over of theirs. But they are all subordinate to the emperors. In Chaitanya, in the Bhakti Ratnakar it describes how all the books of Chaitanya pastimes were stolen by this king. His name was. And when in the details, Shrinivasacharya is looking everywhere for the books. Sadham said, go see the king. So he went to see the king to find his books and then the books. And then. But this king Jiram Vikram Maharaj, he had a. He was. His kingdom was very poor kingdom, mostly forests, not so much agriculture. No, of course in those days.
And there was no industry anyway, so he didn’t have so much income. He was a poor king relative to other kings that had more agricultural land or mineral wealth or something. So he augmented his purse by sending out thieves. He had secret police that were actually put to steal from the past travelers passing through his kingdom. And when they come to him, they get a police complaint of this thief and they’re very sympathetic. And so look into it, give us your address and find anything, we will tell you all about it. That was the end of it. Because actually that police were straight M1916 oil secret police. And. So in this way some astrologer had told him that. Some priceless treasure was being taken on the road to his kingdom. And there’s no protection. A few guards and a few valens.
He said, well it’s like that thing, a price that this treasury set, astrology said is worth more than it says here. It’s so priceless, it’s worth more than diamonds and rubies and jewels. It’s like. So the king said, wow, this must be like crown jewel. Like diamonds as big as rugby balls or something. Be so precious. And so he called his most trusted secret service guys Elise. And he made a. You don’t open up the box, you just bring it right to me and I give each of you a thousand gold coins. I had the whole thing worked out, brought the treasure there, he put it in his treasure house, gave all them the remembrance for their undercover job. But when they had gone there Shri Vasacharya and Shamanama Pandit and Arav Chandas Thakur were with the books. So they were sleeping that night.
And there was a couple guards that was given by the Bharatpur Maharaj, king of Ratpur. They Were also asleep. So there was nothing. They just came, took their box away. There was no fight, no anything. It was really easy job for them. They came and gave it and says, I have taken candy from a baby. But when the Charis woke up early in the morning to do their job, to understand, the books are gone. They’re freaking out. They looked everywhere as cigars would happen. We were sweeping their accents, axles. They’re hitting their heads against the trees. They’re rolling in the ground. What are they? Acharya’s gonna think, what’s all this? Great promoters, they think these are priceless. They’re the original copies. There was no copy. The originals handwritten text. There’s no like, you know, computer printouts or something. And these were going to be taken.
They were being taken to be copied so that the way he preserved the books and then many people hand copy them and that way they were distributed. He said no, no, where are the books? And they’re just going mad. And then Śrīnivasacharya he told them, look, you go to your places. And I was the one entrusted by how I going to be. Let me search it out. So then he went and searched out good faint, went to see the king. Every day the king would have a Bhāgavatam class in the afternoon. So Shrinivas sat down in the assembly. Then he was hearing his Bhāgavatam class. It was a total speculation. The person was Karma Kanda Gyanakanda, but there was zero Bhakti. And that was so horrible his explanation. But Śrīnivasa is feeling sick thing that the whole class is looking and looked at too.
Oh. So the king said, what’s wrong with you? You don’t like my guru’s class making all these funny faces? He said, oh, this class. The Bhāgavatam was great. But his ex. That really didn’t make me feel good. Oh really? Okay, we want you to give a class and if you don’t feel good then you’re going to be decapitated for your offense. To our guru, you better give a good class. Imagine. The kind of pressure of giving a class. Would you like to give a life and death clasśrīni asked the chariots give him the title a Chario and Bruno because he was really Chari. He was a very expert Bhāgavatam class. So he gave a wonderful class.
And as a result, then the king, he thought, well, the thing when he got these books, he looked in his treasury box, was afraid that if my police see it and they may even, you know, kill me to take all these jewels. So you know, anybody to see he opens up the box. Books. Books. What are these Books? As in with priceless jewels. It looks. These are some kind of religious books. I have stolen literary jewels. Literary Priceless treasures from some who called back the police. Why is this books here? Who did he take it from? Well, there were actually three lots. Now I was a three lot. Looked like they were gurus. Oh no, I stole it. My books don’t say go to hell. For sure. Now I was getting to all these rich businessmen.
You know, getting to the people in my poor country. But now I stole them from some saints, some garlic. I am going to be finished. Find them. You got to give them back the books. But don’t let anybody know. You can’t let them know that I stole the books. There was a whole really critical thing how to get that book back to the origin owners. And nobody knows that the books were stolen by the king. So when heard the Shinni Bay Zachary give this amazing class. I never heard such a class before. It was about Kṛṣṇa, Bhāgavatam. About Kṛṣṇa, about Bhakti devotional service. All these things they never heard about before. In the Bhāgavatam teacher would focus on totally other things. So then he thought maybe he’s the person. So then he had to go to very great level.
I would like to talk with you on projects. Nobody knew what’s going to happen. Though it seemed to be a good biosert. So then I think again behind in private. And he said who are you? Then he gives this explanation. How the supreme personality of Godhead Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa descended into this world as Satchi Sutta as Lord Chaitanya in Navigrid bound. And how he disseminated the mercy of Lord Kṛṣṇa all over India. And how the Rūpa and Sanātana who were Dabyakash and Sankir Malik, the Prime Minister and the finance minister of the emperor Hussain Shah. How they had and many other great single people gone to Bindavan and had got the mercy of Lord Chaitanya were writing ancient text. So like somewhere in there then the king. I thought those people were crazy. They were the most powerful people in the entire empire.
Abu rather than the Emperor, I mean they ran the whole thing. Emperor didn’t do anything. He was out hunting Rupin Sanatan Samatan Goswami was the prime minister without voting after three years he didn’t have to come. He was so good that the emperor was Totally happy. In fact, when he wanted to leave, he arrested him. That’s how popular. You can’t leave. You have to stay inside my finance. I want to leave. You ever seen that in English? It’s cheating. I want to leave. No, you must stay. There was one king abrogated because of married. But. So this king was saying I used to have to go and I had to bow down to them. I had to pay my taxes to the group of. He was, you know, he was the finance minister. So in that. That’s why, that’s how I got to this.
Because I get a little glimpse like how it works. Every king, he would collect taxes from all his subjects. One third of whatever taxes he collected he had to give to the emperor. Two thirds he could use to run his kingdoms. There was a system, maybe 2/3 there was like a system. So then the lords under each kings, there were lords and earls and they also collected taxes. And they had to give to the king whatever the king that he gave the emperor. And every year the kings had to give so many soldiers to the emperor. And the emperor was responsible to protect all the kings. He had a bigger army in case someone other from outside was attacking the empire. And it was too big an army for the local kings to defend against.
Then the empires main army would come there and protect. There was a system. So then Śrīnivasacharya, he was explaining all these things and the king was going. Then he had explained how all these books were written by all these great souls. And that he was entrusted by the Rādhā Gobindabi. He gave a whole history. He was carrying these books to be copied in Avadri. And his books were stolen from him. You know, his hairs were sitting. Oh, he’s the one. He’s Omer. When he fell at Sunni Vasacharya’s feet and grabbed his feet, I took the books. I took it. Please forgive me. Please forgive me. Take me as your disciple and forgive me for all my offenses. Because I grew, I was forgiving the offenses of the disciples. So he knew that he had to become the disciple Shunni get forgiven.
Plus he had so much faith that he was really a great Acharya after hearing his plans. But Śrīnivas, he wasn’t impressed that right now some king wants to be my disciple. He was. Let me, show me the books. Are they all there? Does he really have the books? Show me the books. Let me see. So he took to the treasure house and there’s the box. He was looking how excited he was. And then the Box was opened. And as they saw that somehow Chichenhe Chen Rita come to the top. When they packed it, they put it in the bottom. When they opened it come to the top. So that’s always used the Chaitanya Chana read as like the cream of the Chaitanya Mahapu’s literature. We cannot begin to imagine how relieved Shrinivasacharya was when we saw those books.
Because by that time the moose had already reached Vrindavan. And all the Acharyas in Vrindavan they had. The books were stolen. They were not eating, they weren’t sleeping. They were like completely delirious. Because those books were the lifeline. They were the life and soul of all the devotees. And when they were stolen, it was just like devastating friends. Like imagine no Chaitanya Chennalina, no nectar of devotion. What to see there are no. We had Bhagavān arenas. So the holis they were. When he saw those books, it was like it gave life. Everybody the most quickly got somehow with the books were recovered. So the king said, look it don’t. You don’t need to go to Navadik to copy the books. I will bring pundits here and they can copy here. I will finance the whole thing. It’s my service.
So actually this king, he got liberated, he got family. So a big thing though. But to be a king’s guru, he had to be a grihasta. And Śrīnivasacharya was. I can’t see what kind of the buckets in front of the wallets. I don’t know if that gives me excuse to go, huh? Supposed to end a quarter too. Supposed to end at quarter two. So he didn’t know what to do. So he discussed with at that time all the singing devotees who are already gone from the world. But there was Naraharu Thakur and he asked him whether he was a Siksha guru. Senior Vaishnava, he said, should I become the king’s guru or not? If I become king’s guru, I have to be married. Because king’s guru has to advise the kings.
Like we tell people like Sannyāsī at this time sometimes talk to senior Grihasta to Sangri Hasta. But the king can’t go off and ask somebody else. He can only ask his guru. He only tells his intimate personal problems to his guru. So the guru has to be able to hear all the problems. Even if they’re a whatever XX or whatever problem he has. He has to be able to hear that and they don’t come to. So. Therefore he had to do Gehasa. So then you can. And that how he said in our house that it’s okay, you do it, you’re not going to, you’re going to. So that’s why Śrī Lankacharya got harmed that he spent only about four months at his house and eight months he spent at the king’s house.
So that’s another interesting thing happened in the history afterwards because you see like just before the British came the kingdoms india started to get weaker. The empires were starting to crumble, the morals were losing their control. And at that time there was a guy called Bhaskar Pandit and he was a Maharashtrian thief, like a Dakar. He wasn’t a royal family anything but he had gradually amassed an army of 10,000 people. So he would go and conquer kingdoms but he just looted and steal from the people. He was an imprisonment somewhat in the governing he wasn’t. It was uncivilized. But he would conquer over and then he’d take over some kingdoms. So it was. The empire was unable to defend against him. The empire was finished, end of its thing. So the kings were on their own more or less. So they went.
So this Bhaskar Pandalis, he said they went to Mirkatwa and he just looted all the Brahmin villages. Hated Brahminical culture, envious of Brahmanas yo demonite, hated Vaishnavas. So it said that. So I kind of see how empires used to work and how you need a strong emperor to keep. It was a really interesting pastime that this was a 13th generation of this. I don’t know how many generations. It was something like 13 generations just before the British came. So already they had cannons. Cannons were already in part of the weaponry at that time. It was 1500 years ago. And an amazing thing happened was many times this Bhaskar Pandit was attacking the kingdom of Vishnupur. And by that time there were 13 Rādhākṛṣṇa temples. Because after the initiation of the Mahārāja by Shrinivarasucharya every subsequent king also got initiated as the Gauria Vaishnava.
Each one built their own Rādhākṛṣṇa temple and the beautiful terracotta artistic Rādhākṛṣṇa temples there. But now all the temples because the kings also during the British rule the kings are doing the. I don’t know what British rule or later during the. After that somehow all the temples now I don’t know the history exactly how they decayed. But the kings don’t have any more kingdoms. They don’t have any more money. But they are the official orders of these temples. So all the deities are packed up in one temple because they can’t do the worship in 13. But there’s the most amazing deity of Śrīnivasacharya and Gordon Thay I have ever seen these deities Gordon Thay they’re really huge and they’re very healthy, very strong. Like not sometimes it’s a very effeminate kind of a very strong Gorny tang. Beautiful, beautiful lotus eyes.
I was just a man in temple dark. There’s no lighting. It’s the government calls them all monuments so they don’t. Nobody can touch them because they’re protected monuments, historical monuments. But they don’t give any money outside on the monument they got these huge halogen lights inside they got a little 25 watt bulb. So did this is no light. He put some light there. Wow. So beautiful. These are going then. Beautiful Rādhākṛṣṇa Devī. And there’s one named Rādhākṛṣṇa Devī I think Rādhā Madanmohan who was firstly worshipped by Shrina Rashakraya. And this lad, the king at this time and his father upon that he was attacked and he said he was approaching him. So the king said let the whole kingdom for one day not fight. Let everybody chant for 24 hours hare Kṛṣṇa we will just do Hare Kṛṣṇa chanting.
Get the empowerment and we will go and fight. But that was weird because this Bhaskar Pandit he wasn’t accepted. He didn’t follow it as like a Yavana or something. He did when he saw all these people are not going to fight me, okay, we will attack them right now in the night. But just to go and attack them because the king said no one should lift an iron. So he got his hole, he moved it up and the next day was supposed to be the official attacking day. Instead they attacked at midnight when all the people were chanting Kirkhan all around the country. And then the king was there as at midnight. All of a sudden heard this just like you know huge, you know cannon fire one after another. I said who’s fighting? I told nobody’s supposed to lift in their arms. And nobody knew.
And there was this wow. This immense, you know so many cannons blowing off one after another. And then finally like silence. They sent out his spies. What’s going on? What happened? And they went out and they saw this like red hot two cannons lying on the ground. And there was an old guy that I said well what happened? I said well Madame Rohan came out, the baby came out, took this immense form. He was holding the two cannons, one under each arm and they’re boom, boom. They’re going off like anything. And they totally wiped out the entire army of the demon in the boss, their pundit. And then he went back, he went on, you have been drinking or something. I am drinking. I don’t drink. I saw it. That’s what happened. They told the king of kings. How is it possible?
Didi went and I went out and they saw these cans and the can, it was so hot, you know. And they don’t have those are all like muzzle loaded. You know, it’s shoot like, you know, this is going off like Gatling guns. It takes time to load them. So. And they saw the entire army of the bastard planet was massacred. Just completely wiped out. They said they had killed so many Brahmanas and coach. So the deity just wanted, you know, personally get this one. So they went to the temple where the deity is and they went in deity’s, you know, standing there and. But his clothes, they’re all covered with gun smoke, powdered smoke, sulfur smoking. And that they still have the cannon. That was. So that’s the. With the daily helps there on the screen.
I thought from India perspective if you want the modern kind of the best 500 years where empires and grads reached. Then the British of course came in after that and the British Empire was there, the British Raj. And now we have democracy around the world. At this time. King Vijtasta who was given the name Antard because he could see Indra when he was invisible. So then he got the blessing. He could become visible. Invisible like the demigods. He didn’t need a spice if he didn’t want. He could just turn invisible. Walk around. Check out one second. So he was a pretty amazing personality. Not too many kings to get this ability to become invisible. So anyway, these are. It was obvious that he was such an honest person, he was such a good person that when Indra was healing he could see Indra.
He had that mystical power to see that what to see there bathing at or celestial beings. So the others say he was a very pure person. So that Inda gave him all. Not only you can receive invisible, you can become invisible also. So that’s part of the history of our world and associates followers. Then the safari went to that place one year when were doing Gormabhoomi Currikarma. All the devotees were hugging the camera seeing Ādi. There’s a lot of amazing pastimes about Ādi. But right now my time swallows up. Anybody has any questions? I think what we should do learn from these though is that we also descendants, we’re disciplic descendants of Śrīla Prabhupāda. We have also responsibility. When we cooperate with our older godbrothers and God sisters and uncles. We all everybody has a responsibility to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness. It’s like these Kshatriyas.
They had to rule within a village. We had to preach. Even if it’s a bhakti rickshaw group or if it’s the Namhat group or if it’s some book distribution, some form of preaching. We’re all coming in a dynasty of preachers, ghostier members. We had to help the spread of Śrīnkishna movement. So that’s our what shall we. What’s the word I am looking for? Our heritage and our obligation to our forefathers. In our dynasties. We’re coming a disciple dynasty or disciples india, like if I in the West, I don’t accept that india sometimes you quote father’s name. So I put Guru Pita, my guru father, Bhaktivedanta Swami Kaupa. He’s my father and I accept that. That’s Samyasi, having the father as a guru. They accept that’s. And all of us, we’re disciplic descendants from Prabhupāda and our faithful ushers, previous Acharyas.
So we have a certain obligation. We want to create a spiritual empire. How the material empires work out and how they manifest the spirit world. But a spiritual empire spiritually, the whole world can become peaceful. To the influence of Lord Chittenden’s mercy. We put our faith in Kṛṣṇa. Somehow Kṛṣṇa, he empowers his devotees in different ways. And somehow the will of the Lord is fulfilled. Everyone is a tight thing, but we should take some responsibility for it. For our guru, for Prabhupāda. Maybe a hassle, maybe difficult, maybe something austere, maybe faithless castes. But if you don’t take any responsibility, what are we here for? What are we existing for? We need to cooperate and help the Kushan, the powerplace movement.
Whether it’s responsibility for seeing a temple on the screen or whether it’s for the book table, whether it’s for Prashad distribution or foundational development, book distribution, whatever it may be, the tabern responsibility sent tasks, we should take that we can also contribute for the spreading of Kant. Whether it’s dancing bar, nothing functions. We want to contribute something to furthering the Kṛṣṇa’s effort. So please Shivaka Ota. It’s a humble offering. Any question, Take responsibility. That’s still running out. They had to finish their last preparation and all their responsibilities. How many like to see the beauty of the shooting can? Very beautiful. Very beautiful beauty.
