Jayapatākā Swami: We are extremely blissful that Haṁsa-vāhana, Mahādeva has come here! In the Madhyadvīpa, the ṛṣis were listening to the glories of Lord Caitanya. Lord Śiva understood that some glorification of Lord Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu was going on. So then He started travelling from Kailāsa. Then He was crossing Satyaloka. He thought that His vāhana, the bull was going very slowly. So He requested and asked Lord Brahmā if he could use his Swan carrier, the Haṁsa-vāhana. With the Swan carrier, He quickly came to Navadvīpa dhāma. Seeing the Haṁsa-vāhana, all the rishis thought that Lord Brahmā had arrived. Everyone stood up. But they were surprised to see Lord Śiva on the Haṁsa-vāhana! Lord Śiva is known as ‘vaiṣṇavānām yathā sambhu’. We can learn from Him how, He was so enthusiastic. He came to Navadvīpa dhāma to listen to the glories of Lord Gaura. So that Lord Śiva is now manifest here in the form of the Haṁsa-vāhana deity. We seek His blessings that we are all able to as enthusiastic! Previously the deity was under water in the river. The deity was stolen and when the police recovered the deity, they said keep the deity in the temple. So here the deity has come, therefore we will offer abhiṣeka. The deity has already taken darśana of the Pañca-tattva, Śrī Rādhā Mādhava Aṣṭa-sakhi, Māyāpurcandra and Lord Narasiṁhadeva and Prahlāda Mahārāja. And He gave darśana to Śrīla Prabhupāda! I am ending my talk now so that I can be there at the Nāma-haṭṭa to take darśana of the abhiṣeka!
