Jayapatākā Swami: This Jagannātha Ratha-yātrā is a great opportunity in that everyone of us is able to do a little devotional service to Lord Jagannātha. This devotional service one does in this Ratha-yātrā, Lord Jagannātha never forgets! And since you are doing devotional service to Lord Jagannātha, His mercy will always be on you. Now, Lord Jagannātha will stay out of the temple for nine days. Every year, we always have our honored Chief Minister of West Bengal, Śrīmatī Mamata Banerjee, but this year we have our honored guest HG Subroto Bakshi Mahasaya.
