20250916 Room Conversation: About Gaura-maṇḍala-bhūmi and Safari Discussion

The following is a room conversation with His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on September 16^th, 2025 in Penang Adventist Hospital, Malaysia.

Jayapatākā Swami: They said, all the holy places, Gaura-maṇḍala-bhūmi, all the śrīpāṭs, we design a footprint, with a terracotta in East India.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Insignia? Sindia where?

Jayapatākā Swami: East India.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Terracotta is something…

Marīci dāsa: Yes terracotta, in insignia, but…

Jayapataka Swami: I said, in Bardhaman district, Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja’s birthplace, which Lord Nityānanda told him to go to Vṛndāvana, that place is still there. We done some repair work. So, we never done this like in all the śrīpāṭs… (inaudible) may be, I want to take a (inaudible) śrīpāṭs all over the… not only Remuṇā, all, everywhere all over.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: So Guru Mahārāja is telling that, there are so many śrīpāṭs, so many holy places. Like for example, he is saying there is a place in Bardhaman and Mahāprabhu told Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja to go to Vṛndāvana. So he is saying these are not just one or two holy places, there so many holy places. So we need to see.

Jayapatākā Swami: People in the future, for each one we will give a number.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: So people in the future?

Jayapatākā Swami: They go and visits the śrīpāṭs, there is a number.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: So the people in the future, they can go to see these śrīpāṭs.

Marīci dāsa: Where Mahāprabhu was…

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Mahāprabhu or His associates.

Jayapatākā Swami: Śrīpāṭs are like His associates… wherever Mahāprabhu went we put His footprints. Like He went to Remuṇā, He went to Kānāi-nāṭaśālā,

Śrīvāsa Prāṇa dāsa: You want to take now? We are bringing something hot soup.

Jayapatākā Swami: That is medicine.

Śrīvatsa Śyāmasundara dāsa: No, that, that is extra Guru Mahārāja. Night shift, they will do. But we will give….

Jayapatākā Swami: Where there is night shift?

Jayapatākā Swami: You see, all the places of the associates of Lord Caitanya are called śrīpāṭs. So, there may be 120 śrīpāṭs in West Bengal, maybe 25 in Bangladesh. Now in West Bengal, some of these places, not all were visited by Lord Caitanya, so His lotus footprints we put there, praying to all the śrīpāṭs like all these footprints, we see in India some kind of plaque put up and have a number, this is Gaura-maṇḍala bhūmi – GMB and it say…

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Lets Continue this point Guru Mahārāja. Let’s finish this.

Jayapatākā Swami: Yeah!

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: They will do it. They will do it. This safari thing, Guru Mahārāja, this point. So every plaque… Every plaque should have GMB number and the name of the śrīpāṭ, then…

Jayapatākā Swami: That can be placed by the Safari.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: That can be placed by the Safari.

Jayapatākā Swami: Yeah!

Marīci dāsa: This is not lotus feet. This is something different.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: We are talking about the lotus footprint, right?

Marīci dāsa: No, no different…

Jayapatākā Swami: The plaque.

Marīci dāsa: In some places we install lotus feet, where Lord Caitanya went. And some places of Lord Caitanya’s associates, also we can install some plaque, some memorial or something with terracotta or something nice, isn’t it?

Jayapatākā Swami: Correct!

Marīci dāsa: Yes, correct.

Jayapatākā Swami: Even the places like where Lord… say that Lord Caitanya went to Katwa and took sannyāsa there. There is a place for His sannyāsa-guru Keśava Bhāratī. So we can have plaque there, we can put Gaura-maṇḍala-bhūmi, number… Also, on the lotus footprint of Lord Caitanya, because He was there and He took sannyāsa. So I don’t know if we should put one plaque or many plaques. Like Keśava Bhāratī samādhi. There is a samādhi of Lord Caitanya’s hair…

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Just one minute Guru Mahārāja. He will just disconnect. Yeah. So we got this point, Guru Mahārāja. What safari is supposed to do.

Jayapatākā Swami: They will do both. Like Jagāi Mādhāi āśrama that is also near Katwa. They used to chant on the way to the Ganges and cry, chant. Their samādhis are there in Katwa at some distance.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Okay, noted.

Marīci dāsa: Yeah. This year safari, because Gaura-pūrṇimā (is on) 3 of March (2026). We may start about the 6^th of March. The places that we have guesthouse around are in Habibpur, Ekacakra, Gaṅgā-Sāgar, Haldiya and Digha – places that we have facilities for guesthouse. Remuṇā also should be okay because Remuṇā is also very much visit place and will be guesthouses there. So we can visit Remuṇā. But there are already lotus feet of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu installed by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvati Ṭhākura. So it’s okay we can have darśana of this, isn’t it? When we visit. Then Jaleswar here we have to install one lotus footprints which is 42 km from Digha Jagannātha Mandir. Also, near Jaleswar there is a śrīpāṭ of Śyāmānanda Prabhu and his wife Śyāmapriyā samādhi is there in this śrīpāṭ. There is a dancing Gaurāṅga Deity in there personally installed by Śyāmānanda Paṇḍita on a big river bank. Tamluk is another place.

Jayapatākā Swami: Are we going there?

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Yeah, he is... He’s coming. He is coming. You just put a cap here in your lines.

Marīci dāsa: We are ready to go?

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Yeah, he will come.

Marīci dāsa: Tamluk is another place where we want to install the lotus footprints of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Here Vāsudeva Ghoṣa samādhi is there. And here the famous song of, “Jei gaura, sei kṛṣṇa, sei jagannātha” was composed. And we can see in the altar three Deities Kṛṣṇa, Mahāprabhu and Jagannātha. This place is hundred kilometers from Digha Jagannātha Mandir.

In Agradvīpa, also we have requested for a place to install Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu lotus feet. These information all is, by His Grace Śyāma Rasika Prabhu. Okay. And just to finish. Okay, this is. We have to explore what are the options to book a cruise from Gaṅgā-sāgara to Digha or from Digha to Gaṅgā-sāgara. They don’t have a regular transport from Digha to Gaṅgā-sāgara. Calcutta they have from Digha. Gaṅgā-sāgara they don’t have?

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: I have no idea.

Marīci dāsa: This will be a wonderful experience of traveling in the ocean as well as it will give a lot of relaxation for the Safari devotees. In the first few days, Safari could travel to nearby holy places like this Ādisapta-grāma which is 3 km (hours) away where his Holiness Bhakti-vilāsa Gauracandra Mahārāja said, they got a land.

Okay, we are ready to go. I am another 2, 3 minutes. We continue tomorrow about this, you know, because we can talk every day about Safari Guru Mahārāja.

Jayapatākā Swami: Okay. Sapta-grāma may be, it could be 50 km.

Rādhāramaṇa Sevaka dāsa: Ādi-sapta-grāma?

Jayapatākā Swami: At least…

Marīci dāsa: We need a blessing. A stick. Stick? Because someone outside. What his name? Dr. Dinesh? Dr. Dinesh, his brother is here and the brother’s wife. I think his brother is your disciple. And his wife. They are waiting there for, just getting blessings from you.
