20251225 Question-and-Answer Session

25 Dec 2025|English|Question and Answer Session|Śrī Māyāpur, India

We will have questions and answer for 5 min. We were a little late today because we were talking to our Singapore doctor.  He said I have to go on a special treatment for two weeks. But I can do it here! But then during these two weeks I will be restricted. Will tell you about that later. Any questions on today’s class?

Question: Can devotees move from one rasa to another rasa after achieving one rasa? Also, which rasa should we aim for?

Jayapatākā Swami: One rasa, like śānta-rasa, dāsya-rasa includes śānta-rasa. And each rasa includes all the previous rasas. Like the sakhya-rasa, friendship, includes dāsya and śānta. Of course, one kind of sakhya-rasa is that he loves Kṛṣṇa, appreciates Kṛṣṇa but it doesn’t understand or think it very important that He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Similarly parental rasa, they think Kṛṣṇa is my child! And conjugal love, they think Kṛṣṇa is my lover, Kṛṣṇa is my husband. In that relationship they don’t really think Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Personality of Godhead. They want to relate with Kṛṣṇa. So, it is not that we aim for one rasa. It is revealed to us what our rasa is with Kṛṣṇa. The thing is you see what is your actual rasa. You may move from one to another, but when you reach your rasa, you stay there. Haribol!

Vrajeśvara Gaura dāsa was moved from the ICU to the HCU. HCU means ICU is Intensive Care and HCU is High Care. So, he is next to the ICU. Now he is conscious, he talks, he still eats through his nose and we have to offer prasāda by mantra every day. He is just recovering. We would like to pray for him and we offer mantras for his benefit. We will offer it to His Grace Vrajeśvara Gaura dāsa for his recovery.
