Jayapatākā Swami: Today we are observing the adhivāsa ceremony. Adhivāsa means that before any important festival, we observe the adhivāsa. There are 26 items to be offered before the Lord and before the earth. Like this, adhivāsa is to make our mind ready for the great mahā-utsava! The great festival! Are you ready? This is not an ordinary event. A very special event! Every year we have this New Pānihāṭi festival. Śrīla Prabhupāda gave the name for this place as New Pānihāṭi dhāma! So here we are trying to remember Lord Caitanya, Lord Nityānanda, how They came down from the spiritual world. They danced and had the Ciḍā-dadhi festival, in Pānihāṭi, Bengal. So here in New Pānihāṭi, we are having ciḍā-dadhi festival, we are having Ratha-yātrā and various programs! So, the idea is that, I was listening this morning to Śrīla Prabhupāda saying, he was singing – saba avatāra-sāra-śiromaṇi, kevala ānanda-kanda – Gaura Nitāi, They come here, They are the crest jewels of all the avatāras! Kevala ānanda-kanda – They only gave us a process which is simply blissful!! Harināma saṅkīrtana!! So that is very joyfully performed.

I am going to show you a video of a trend in India, how the younger generation, they are doing ‘Bhajan Clubbing’! 3 or 4 hours they are chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa and dancing. They are also paying for the program! So this is a trend of the young people in India! We would like to see it also all over the world as a fad! And people should chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Actually we know that the name Kṛṣṇa is not material. Śrī Kṛṣṇa being Absolute, His name and His self are non-different. So we chant Kṛṣṇa we do not get tired. If we chant, ‘John! John!’ or something we do. But if you chant Hare Kṛṣṇa you can chant day and night.

Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī was complaining to Lord Brahmā, why did you give me only one tongue and two ears? If I had million tongues, millions of ears, then maybe I would start relishing a little bit of the Hare Kṛṣṇa! Haribol!

Anyway, today we will go ahead with the adhivāsa, so that we can be fully absorbed in serving Kṛṣṇa and chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, taking kṛṣṇa-prasāda! Hare Kṛṣṇa!
