The following is a Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book Compilation given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on July14th, 2021 in Sri Dhama Mayapur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hare Kṛṣṇa! Dear Devotees! Today we will continue with the compilation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book, Today's chapter is entitled:

Breaking News by Vidyā-vācaspati – Lord Caitanya Secretly Leaves Vidyānagara to Avoid the Crowd 
Under the Section: The Lord’s Attempt to Go to Vṛndāvana

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.333

āśīrvāda-śravaṇe lokavṛndera stutivāda— 
sarva-loke ‘hari’ bale śuni’ āśīrvāda
punaḥ punaḥ sabei karena kākurvāda

Translation: On hearing Lord Caitanya's benediction, everyone chanted the name of Lord Hari. They then repeatedly appealed to Lord Caitanya with humility.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.334

“jagat-uddhāra lāgi’ tumi gūḍha-rūpe
avatīrṇa hailāśacī-garbhe navadvīpe

Translation: You have appeared in a covered form from the womb of Śacī in Navadvīpa to deliver the entire world.

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya had appeared as Śacīnandana but He came to deliver the whole world and people of Navadvīpa have realized this. Once Lord Caitanya left they were lamenting, and now that they had Him in their presence they want to pray to Him to give them mercy.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.335

āmi-saba pāpiṣṭha tomāre nā ciniyā
andha-kūpe paḍilāṅa āpanā' khāiyā

Translation: Yet, we sinners could not recognize You, Lord Caitanya and we thus fell in the dark well of material existence and ruined ourselves.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.336

karuṇā-sāgara tumi parahitakārī
kṛpā kara āra yena tomā' nā pāsari”

Translation: You Lord Caitanya, are an ocean of mercy and the benefactor of all. Please be merciful on us so that we may not forget You again.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.337

ei mate sarva-dike loke stuti kare
hena raṅga karāyena gaurāṅga-sundare

Translation: In this way people offered prayers from all directions. Such are the pastimes of Lord Gaurāṅgasundara!

Jayapatākā Swami: So, everyone was taking advantage of this opportunity, they were offering their heartfelt prayers to Lord Gaurāṅgasundara, they prayed that they will always remember the Lord and they will never forget Him.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.338

loke lokāraṇya o lokera ārti— 
manuṣye haila paripūrṇa sarva-grāma
nagara-catvara-prāntare o nāhi sthāna

Translation: The entire village became filled with people. There was not a single vacant place either in the street, in the village, or in the outskirts of the village.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, many people had come to see Lord Caitanya that all the places were filled with people. Everyone was eager to see the Lord and they all offered their prayers with great feeling.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.339

dekhite sabāra punaḥ punaḥārti bāḍe
sahasra sahasra loka eka-vṛkṣe caḍe

Translation: As their eagerness to see Lord Caitanya increased more and more, thousands of people climbed each of the trees.

Jayapatākā Swami: To get a glimpse of Lord, people did anything, even they climbed the trees. Somehow or other they wanted to touch the Lord’s lotus feet.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.340

gṛhera upare vā kata loka caḍe
īśvara-īcchāya ghara bhāṅgiyā nā paḍe

Translation: Many people climbed on top of the houses, but by the will of Lord Caitanya, none of the houses were broken.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.341

dekhi’ mātra sarva loka śrī-candra-vadana
‘hari’ bali’ siṁha-nāda kare ghane ghana

Translation: As soon as the people saw the moonlike face of Lord Caitanya, they repeatedly roared like lions and chanted the name of Lord Hari. Hari Bol! Hari Bol!

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.342

nānā-dik thāki' loka āise sadāya
śrī-mukha dekhiyā keha ghare nāhi yāya

Translation: People continually came from various directions, and after seeing Lord Caitanya's lotus face, no one returned home.

Jayapatākā Swami: Such is the all-attractive feature of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, after seeing Him they were eager to see Him more and no one returned home.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.343

lokasaṅgha eḍāivāra janya prabhura vācaspatira agocarei gopane kuliyāya gamana— 
nānā raṅga jāne prabhu gaurāṅga-sundara
lukāiyā gelā prabhu kuliyā-nagara

Translation: Lord Gaurasundara was expert in various sporting activities. He slipped away unnoticed and departed for Kuliyā.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.344

nityānanda-ādi jana kata saṅge laiyā
calilena vācaspatire o nā kahiyā

Translation: Lord Caitanya took a few associates headed by Lord Nityānanda and left without informing even Vidyā-vācaspati.

Jayapatākā Swami: Some people say that Lord Caitanya disappeared, and He reappeared some kilometers away, but somehow or another He left, invisible to the crowds of people, and He continued on His journey towards Vṛndāvana.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.345

kuliyāya āilena vaikuṇṭha-īśvara
tathā sarva-loka haila parama kātara

Translation: As Lord Caitanya, the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha traveled to Kuliyā town, the people in Vidyānagara became afflicted with feelings of separation.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.346

prabhura adarśane vācaspatira krandana— 
catur-dike vācaspati lāgilā cāhite
kothā gelā prabhu, nāhi pāyena dekhite

Translation: Vācaspati began to look around for Lord Caitanya, but he was unable to find Him.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.347

vicāra kariyā vipra prabhu nā dekhiyā
kāndite lāgilāūrddha-vadana kariyā

Translation: When the brāhmaṇa gave up looking for Lord Caitanya, he began to cry loudly as he looked towards the sky.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Vidyā-vācaspati was feeling great separation in the absence of the Lord and He started crying profusely.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.348

prabhura bāhire āgamanera apekṣāya o anumāne lokasaṅghera haridhvani— 
‘virale āchena prabhu bāḍīra bhitare’
ei jñāna haiyāche sabāra antare

Translation: Everyone else thought that Lord Caitanya had gone into hiding inside the house.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.349

bāhira hayena prabhu hari-nāma śuni’
ataeva sabe bole mahā-hari-dhvani

Translation: They thought Lord Caitanya came outside only when He heard the holy name of Lord Hari, so they all began to loudly chant the holy name of Lord Hari. Hari Bol!

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.350

koṭi koṭi loke hena hari-dhvani kare
svarga-martya-pātālādi sarva-loka pūre

Translation: Millions of people chanted the holy name of Lord Hari so loudly that the sound vibration filled the three planetary systems of Svarga, Martya, and Pātāla.

Jayapatākā Swami: In other words, they chanted so loudly that the holy name filled the whole universe. I had someone who fainted while cooking in Montreal Temple, so I chanted Hare Kṛṣṇa in his ear, he shook his head and after some time he got up, he said that sound was like a reverse echo, it got louder and louder until it filled my whole consciousness and brought me back to my body, So, this chanting echoed throughout the universe in a stronger and stronger manner.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.351

prabhura gopane sthāna-tyāgera vārtā lokasaṅghake vācaspatira vijñāpana— 
kata-kṣaṇe vācaspati haiyā bāhire
prabhura vṛttānta āsi' kahilā sabāre

Translation: After some time Vācaspati came out of his house and informed everyone about the Lord Caitanya's departure.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.352

“kata rātri kon dike hena nāhi jāni
āmā’-pāpiṣṭhere vañci' gelā nyāsi-maṇi

Translation: “I do not know what time during the night or in what direction, but the crest jewel of sannyāsīs has deceived us sinners and departed.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.353

satya kahi bhāi saba, tomā’-sabā’-sthāne
nā jāni caitanya giyāchena kon grāme”

Translation: “O my dear brothers, I tell you the truth. I do not know to which village Lord Caitanya has gone.”

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya left the house of Vidyā-vācaspati and proceeded on His way towards Vṛndāvana. Somehow, He could not be seen by anyone, and He went with few intimate associates like Lord Nityānanda. So, in this way He gave His mercy to the people of Navadvīpa.
