The following is a lecture given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on September 1, 1981 – in Germany. The lecture begins with a reading from Bhagavad-gītā 11.36.
Satya. Text 36, chapter 11 of the semen. O Rishikesha. The world becomes joyful upon hearing your name, and thus everyone becomes attached to you, although the perfected beings offer you their respectful homage. Homage. The demons are afraid and they flee here and there. All this is rightly done. Purport. Arjuna, after hearing from Kṛṣṇa about the outcome of the battle of Kurukshetra, became an enlightened devotee of the Supreme Lord. He admitted that everything done by Kṛṣṇa is quite fit. Arjuna confirmed that Kṛṣṇa is the maintainer and the object of worship for the devotees and the destroyer of the undesirables. His actions are equally good for all. Arjuna understood herein that when the battle is of Kurukshetra was being concluded in outer space, there were present many demigods, siddhas and intelligent of the higher planets, and they were observing the fight because Kṛṣṇa was present there.
When Arjuna saw the universal form of the Lord, the demigods took pleasure in it. But others who were demons and atheists could not stand it when the Lord was praised. Out of their natural fear of the devastating form of the supreme personality of Godhead, they fled Ka’s treatment of the devotees and the atheist is praised by Arjuna. In all cases a devotee glorifies the Lord because he knows that whatever he does is good for all.
It. So.
Kṛṣṇa is offering his praise unto Arjuna is offering his praise unto Kṛṣṇa after having the Darshan or the vision of the universal form. This universal form has never been seen by anyone else except for Arjuna. Arjuna was able to see this form because he was a devotee, because he was a friend of Kaja. Without being a devotee, without being a friend of Kṛṣṇa, then one cannot expect to have such mystic hidden opportunities revealed.
1Ein Freund Kṛṣṇa, 1ein Gewaite Kṛṣṇa Kaman nicht er warten das einem Soh.
But if one is able to approach Kṛṣṇa as a devotee and friend, then the most esoteric and hidden secrets can be revealed by his mercy.
Tutignadi Kṛṣṇas of Bhat Kṛṣṇa is the.
Well wisher of everyone. Kṛṣṇa is the voltage, the well wisher of all the living entities, The Supreme Lord of all the planets. These are all the qualities of Kaeng Kṛṣṇa, the one who knows that he becomes peaceful. The demons and the devotees, they’re all the Kṛṣṇa, they’re all the children of Kṛṣṇa. He is a well wisher of all of them. No one is more dear than the next. No one is more dear than the.
Next.
Amongst the conditioned souls. But if one becomes devotee then. And the devotee is always anxious to.
Serve Kṛṣṇa Vimain Godkivaite Viet dan ista God Devaite imma Theater of Bedakht Kṛṣṇa.
Always eager to have the association of.
Ka Bi giri mi Kṛṣṇa Tsusaman Saint.
Sudurfn the devotee wants to always be in the maximum consciousness of Kṛṣṇa.
Ima.
But the demon, the atheist, he wants to always forget Kṛṣṇa for him. He wants to see that God is dead, even he’s not. The demon wants that he doesn’t have to serve God directly. He doesn’t want to be near Kṛṣṇa or have any service to Kṛṣṇa or any association with Kṛṣṇa. So Kṛṣṇa, he fulfills both their desires.
Kṛṣṇa Devonshi Von Biden he gives his.
Association to the devotees. And he casts the demons into hell far away from him. So that they don’t have to associate with him. Missing it says that there are some hells where the demons they have to have sex life 24 hours a day and night, day after day. No stop, No time for anything else. And they never think about God. Because their desires were such. They were given such a place. After a long time. Then they become fed up. And then they want to find out what is the real happiness or the higher taste of spiritual life. For that the human being is an opportunity. Human life is much more advanced. Human life means that one should regulate his senses. Not too much enjoyment, not too much misery. Just enough so that one can focus one’s attention on Kaenchi.
Of Kṛṣṇa.
So Chaitanya Mahāprabhu, he has also come just like Kṛṣṇa. But his mission is something special. He would like that even the demons should somehow or another get their mercy. When one demon would cause too much trouble in other living entities, then Kṛṣṇa would kill him. And that demon would get liberation from birth and death. Because he was killed directly by the Supreme God on this demon. He doesn’t kill anybody with any weapons. He kills their demonic attitude by giving them pure ecstatic love for Kṛṣṇa. You know how Jagai Madai they were such rascals that even they hit Nithyananda Prabhupa on the head. Still they were forgiven. Nithyananda begged for their forgiveness. And ultimately they received pure love for Kṛṣṇa.
Ecstatic Prema Bhakti Nithyananda Padfisn.
So Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, he described that his Movement can be compared to a big tree producing so many nectarine fruits of love.
For Kaetan.
He himself is both the tree as well as the gardener, as well as the root. And he expressed his anxiety about one thing. However, He said that there are so many fruits, how many can I eat alone and how many can I give out alone? So he requested, please come take this nectarine fruit. Ecstatic Kṛṣṇa Bhakti, take this it and eat it to your heart’s content. And then give it out freely to everyone. So Lord Chaitanya ma’, am, he wanted to feed everyone this nectar and let it be distributed, treated by all those who partake of it. What Kṛṣṇa has shown in his universal form is that everything in the universe is but a part of him. And the form of Kṛṣṇa himself is the embodiment, you see, of everything absolutely.
Good and die Kṛṣṇa’s gestal selbst ist die Vekurperung von Allen was absolut good ist.
So everything which we like in this world is but a fraction of Kṛṣṇa.
Welt girne haben ist nur ein Bruchteil.
Vung Kṛṣṇa, if you could have all the things that one liked in this world together multiplied by millions of times, still that would not equal Kaedinya. And so Caitanya Mahāprabhu, if we realize that we are not this body because this body is limited, body can only enjoy up to the capacity of the senses, therefore very limited. But the spirit that is unlimited. By any material limitations. Therefore the capacity of the spirit soul to appreciate Kṛṣṇa is to experience transcendental ecstasy is unlimited, while this body is only limited. Therefore transcendentalists, they regulate the activities of the body so that the full spiritual capacity can be developed without hindrance.
Folgenic and fickle.
Twelfth, you see. So when Lord Caitanya Mahprabhu was present, then of course he was present with all of his associates. And when he wound up his pastimes and left, then he took with him, you see, so many of his associates. But he left some disciples of his associates to carry on the mission of this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement some 500 years ago. So he came, brought his associates with him, and then he left and took them again with him. So after he left, then the main preaching was left under the responsibility of such great souls like Śrīnivas Acharya Narottam Das Thakur Shamananda, Pandit Birbhadra Prabhu Achutananda Prabhu.
Narutam das takum.
We just sang the song where they are mentioned the song was written by Naratum Das Thakur. In the end, he says, Jaya Acharya, Prabhu Śrīnivas Ramachandra Shangamangi Narotta Modas. Shrinivas Acharya was the great Acharya who.
Was a contemporary with Narottam Shrinivasa Acharya.
And Ramachandra was a devotee who Naradam would associate with. He would get good association. To advance in spiritual life, one must have a good association. Without good association, it’s not possible to cultivate spiritual consciousness. Good association means association which is always helping and reminding us of our spiritual goal and which is helping us to control our mind and senses for the higher objective.
So.
Our regional secretary, Guru Garangudas has requested me to speak about the Gor Pūrṇimā festival which Naratum Darastakur han. Within the first century after, just immediately after Chaitanya Mahprabhu left one time, Śrīnivas Acharya wanted to go and visit. So Śrīnivas Acharya he left from. His village and proceeded towards Keturigram, which was the residence of Narottam Das Thakur.
Śrīnivas Acharya king also Feliz also.
Along with him he took Ramachandra Kaviraj, who was a disciple. Govinda Kaviraj and many other disciples of the about numbering over 20 to 50. They got the name Koviraj because they were great poets and musicians and literateurs of Caitanya culture.
Hilton Dentitel Caviraj Grosse Dichter Musica und Schriftania Kulturvan.
Some phone is ringing. So as they’re going along, all the village people came out to meet them and to greet them as they came to the village and brought them in very enthusiasm. And finally they reached to the last village before Keterigram. And then one messenger came, one Vipra came to greet them in that village.
Dankham and Bote and Vipra.
Vipra means a very qualified scholar of spiritual science. And he bore a message from Narottam Das Thakur that the next day at the Lotus river, the Padma river, he would meet him.
From Naratam Das Thakur. Das er am nexen dag si trefenwerde am Lotus flus am Padma Flus.
His name is Padma river and Padma means lotus in Sanskrit.
Padma. The Sanskrit was Padma bedul lotus.
So then they asked the history of this village, how this temple there was a temple there of Lord Chetanya, how that temple came up, how it was constructed. So then that Viper told the story that one time there was a very rich farmer there, and he had many silos of rice paddy grain stored up. But in spite of having so many tons of grain, he couldn’t get at it, because inside the silo there was a deadly poison, huge cobra snake. So then one time, Narottam Nastakur, he came to that village and he received.
A special instruction from the super soul.
And directly he went to those silos of grain. They said, no, don’t go near there. There’s a huge cobra snake. He will bite you and you will be finished.
(Side B of the Cassette)
In the zoo india we have them loose.
In Indian Hamishi fry Harum laugh.
I personally had some association, You see. So these cobra snakes, from the very moment they’re born, they’re deadly poisonous. There’s a story that during the Second World War they were constructing one airfield india. One foreign officer. And one of the workers who help work and build our temple. He was a small boy during that time and he was present when that work was going on.
Und einer der Arbeiter die auch BER und Ben Bau owns his temples.
And he said that while they were they uncovered one nest of cobra under the ground. And there was one cobra egg. Snake egg are very soft. So you can drop it won’t break, it will bounce. Just then that egg hatched and the baby cobra came out. Only so big like a worm. And so that army officer, he looked at us, said, oh, how cute, What a beautiful little thing. And held it up like this, looking at it and it bit him on the lip immediately bit him on the lip. As soon as it bit him on the lip, he threw it away. And grabbed his lip, fell over dead.
And fell towards the bones.
That’s how fast cobra poison act. Within few seconds, if you get in the face, within a few seconds, if you get on the leg, three, four minutes dead. So there was that big king cobra was inside that silo. So everyone was telling him, don’t go in because there is no way you could get in without getting bit. Opened the door.
Hare Ram Hari Ram Ram Hari.
And immediately the snake came out. And where the snake touched the ground, there a Tretanya Mahāprabhu appeared. And then he disappeared also. So that’s why at that place then that man, he donated all of his grain and they built a temple there for Chaitanya Mahprabhu. So then they stayed overnight. And then the next day they proceeded to the Lotus River. When they came to the shore of the Lotus river, the king Santosh Rai, he met them with a royal party and royal yacht to take them across the Lotus River. And they took him across. And on the other side of the Lotus river they there Naruto was waiting. He was so happy to see Śrīnivas. Śrīnivas was so overjoyed to see him. They paid obeisances to each other and then they embraced each other.
And the disciples of Śrīnivas Acharya offered their obeisances to Naruto and took the dust from his feet. So then after the public greetings and everything. Then Śrīnivas and Naravitan, they went to a private place where they discussed what was the news in the Vaishna world. And Narayatam Thakur had just been to vrindavana for the second time, which was he had to walk by foot 1,000 km and back. And he had just returned. So he had news about Vrindavana. So Naruto Thakur grabbed Śrīnivas’s hand and actually he started crying, said that there’s hardly anyone left in Vrindavan. Everyone has left and gone back. Join Caitanya Mahāprabhu. They have left this world.
Fast. Ali, sinchon, hannah.
Both of them felt great separation thinking how many great souls had all left this world and gone back to Caitanya Mahbhu. How many few were left. So then Narottam Narasthako, he appealed to Śrīnivas, said, I have one favor I would like to ask you. One desire. Whatever. You just tell me what is it that you’d like.
To.
If I am able to do it, I will surely do it. He said, I have six beautiful deities, Different deities. Of Lord Chaitanya and Kṛṣṇa. And I was thinking that on this Gor Pūrṇimā appearance day of Caitanya Mahbru anniversary, we should have a big festival and install these deities. And I want you to install the deities. And I want to invite all of the. All of the associates that are still present in Gormandal Gumi. I want to invite all of them for the grand festival. Yes. Means the greater area of Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s pastimes. That whole area is all transcendental land. Someone who sees its transcendence is he resident of the eternal spiritual kingdom of Vrindavana.
Vrindavans.
So Śrīnivasachari, when heard Narottam Das Thakur’s request, he wanted to assure him of his full support. So he said yes. Then tomorrow we must send out the invitations. I will help you in this work. Thank you very much. Naruto Thakur embraced him and then they parted. And because it was already late at night. And all the disciples, they were all able to sleep. But Śrīnivas Thakur, Śrīnivas Acharya, he couldn’t sleep. You know who Śrīnivas is?
Visti Vasinivas is.
Yes, he’s the disciple of Gopal Bhaṭṭa Goswami. He’s different than the Panchata Śrīnivas.
Meet them. Panchata.
Śrīnivas Panchata is called Sivas Pandit or Sivas Prabhu. And this is. This devotee is called Śrīnivas Acharya, the.
Panchatatva Śrīnivas with Shivas Pandit or the Shivas Prabhukinant Śrīnivas Acharya.
Acharya means a spiritual master. He was a guru in the line.
Of Chaitanya Mahapur Acharya without spiritual Eva and guru in the Na Folya fun Chaitanya Mahāprabhu.
So he couldn’t sleep because he was thinking that how to get all the Vaishnavas to come. This is a very great task. This is very difficult. They’re all in separation of Caitanya Mahāprabhu, in love and separation. How they will come. Is this really Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s desire? Without his blessing, this won’t be possible. In this way. He was staying up late at night, thinking, meditating on how to do this great festival. He dozed into a slight slumber. And then in a vision, Caitanya Mahabhara appeared to him with his beautiful seven foot tall form, flowing hair and vaijantay mālā and lotus eyes. His hair done up in the kachap, the brahminical style. Do not be in anxiety. This festival is my desire.
This is first ist mein Wunsch.
You immediately send off the Patris, the messengers.
Tomorrow send this of word Morgan di Patric die boten aus.
Then Lord Caitanya disappeared. So you see, in those days to send off the messenger, there was no pony express, there was no post. You know how they used to send mail? They’d write a letter and then they’d walk with it and deliver it to the person they’re writing to. So that means they had to send a messenger with a letter. So they wrote out letters to Nawad, Dweep, Santipur, Khodaha, even to Orissa, to Shamana Pandit and 9, 10 different people that gave each letter. And they began to walk to those places. Some places were over 800 km to deliver the mail. Now the disciple thinks when the spiritual master asks him to mail the letter, that oh, I am being asked to go down and mail the letter with it. What a difficult service.
But in those days, think of what it was to deliver the mail, Contact Vegavan, and all you do is dial the phone and hand him the phone.
Here when Śrī Vishnu pad meet.
But in those days that meant you had to walk to Sweden and bring the message back also. So immediately the messengers, they took the letters and they began their journey to deliver them. And Śrīnivasanam they enjoyed the Transcendental association in Keturigram on Shinivas. When the letter finally reached the wife of Nithyananda Prabhu Janawa Devī, then she was very happy to get this message.
Als debrief schlislig di fraufu Nithyananda Prabhu Janava Devī.
But she being a widow, because Nithyananda had already left the world, she was wondering that whether she should actually go. So Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu also appeared to her. And told her that this is my desire that you go. You go to the Ketuligram and with you take all of your associates and you bring all the devotees and tell everyone to come to make this big festival a success. So you want to hear the rest of the festival? Yeah, not too late. You know, in St. Louis one night were up till 2:00’. Clock.
What about three? Yeah, set the record.
So the Sujanava Devī took leave from her sister Basuda and she gathered a huge party with her and they left. In that group there was Birbhadra Prabhu, the son of Nithyananda. There was the husband of Nithyananda’s daughter, There was Vrindavandas Thakur and many other great devotees.
He’s a group of Virabhadra Prabhu Tesson Nithyanandas. Then the Eman Dehta Nithyanandas Thakur on Fili Andrei Grosse Kotk.
Like Obi Ram Thakur, Minikitam Ram Das. Remember Minikitam Ram Das character is described in Caitanya Charatamrita. He would carry a flute with him and everyone he would touch with that flute would immediately put into ecstatic symptoms of love of Kṛṣṇa and start to crying in ecstasy. Sometimes they would laugh and sometimes they would jump up and down. That was the pastime of so all these great elevated souls. They all accompanied with Januvar Devī and they proceeded through the different villages on the way to Keturigram.
Si wanderten weiter durch al die Verschinen Durfer in rich dung Keterigram just to help you.
Because so you get a geographical idea. You see, the distance from the present day Calcutta is in the southern part of Bengal and Keterigram is a little bit in the northern part. They are about roughly 400 km distance.
Numag and kleinen Eindruck von de geographischen Lagerzewvermitt mitten Calcutta.
At that time there wasn’t any Calcutta. Calcutta was started by The British. But the village of Nitinanda Prabhu, which is known as Kordaha, that is about 50 km north of the present city of Calcutta. 10 km south of Kordaha is Panihati.
10 km from Kodaha is Panihati where.
Lord Chnithyananda had Chira Doi Mango fruit festival, that yogurt and Chira festival. You know about that. Anyway, so they’re heading up, you see. North of Kordaha, another 60 km, 70 km is Novo deep Dam. And in between, on the one side of the river is Ambika Kalna. And on the other side of the Ganges is Santipur Adwaita Gosai’s house.
Advaita Acharyas Heimat.
So they were going from Korda and they first and they went towards Ambika Kalna. So as they are going along, people were mad to have the darshan of Janava Devī. And all these great devotees.
Mentioned Vivaruktanach. Then Darshan von Jnava.
They met them on the outskirts of their villages with the Sankirtan parties with the special Kle me drunke drums and the cartels and flutes and conches.
Und flirten und Moschlhernan with garlands for.
All of the members of the party. Flower garlands. And then they would bathe their feet with scented water. But even if they tried to avoid having their foot bathed, they would throw it anyway on their feet. And they had a festival. Taking the water from the feet and putting it on their head and taking even the mud in the dust and putting it on their head and face. Because it was so sacred to be touched by them. Then they would give a very nice sitting place. And they would offer them aarti and fan and beg to hear from them teachings about Bhagavat and the Gītā. In this way their party was also growing and growing. Because people, they couldn’t bear to leave them. And their party was growing into hundreds and hundreds of people.
When they reached Ambika Kalna, there is the temple of Gauri Das Pandit.
I see in Ambika Kalna. Ankarmen third Gibdest and temple from Statea Temple from Gauri Das Pandit.
You know Gauri Das Pandit. He was Subal and Kṛṣṇa Leela. He came down to be the friend.
Of Chaitanya Mahāprabhu Golidas Panditva im Kṛṣṇa Līlā.
So. Because he insisted that Chaitanya Mahāprabhu should make allow two deities of himself, of Gorchaitanya, of himself. To be made and worshipped by Gori Das Pandit Epistantarov.
Thus Lord Chaitanya is a Laube Das Zwei Bilkestal and Von im von Lorchetanya.
Regarding that’s another whole story which takes about half hour. So we will leave it for some other time. But those deities are absolutely non different from. On several occasions those deities were also running around just moving. Those are wonderful pastimes. So when they came to that temple, the disciple of Bodhidas Pandit was there.
Pidayananda Dasan temple Hridayananda Das Goswami taught.
He was renamed Hridayai Chaitanya Das by his guru. Because Lord Caitanya hid in his heart. That’s that other story of course. So when Janawa Devī came there then she begged for the opportunity to cook for the Nittaigor. She was the most expert cook. Of course. Janava Devī herself is very Bhutti. She’s also used the Manjari in Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes. Janava Devī is Rebuti, the consort of Balaram.
Janavi Devī is gifting Balarams Revati und Klystatic of Manjari in Kṛṣṇa Leela.
So she is a great Mahalakshmi and greater goddess of fortune.
She is Mahalakshmi the greatest looks greater.
Than Mahalaksha Mahalakshmi but even greater than Mahalakshmi, greater than ordinary goddess of fortune. She’s a much superior goddess of fortune. So she prepared a wonderful prasadam for this Nittaigord deity and then took Hiday Caitanya and all the devotees and they proceeded on to catering ground. When they got to Novodip then Śrīvas’s younger brother Ramai Pandit and other devotees there they told they all must come to Keturigram. This is Chaitanya Mahabhar’s desire. Let us all go for a Gorpunima festival. That time they were concerned they had forgot to go via Shantipur. What about Shantipur Vasis?
On Shantipur.
Vasismit and Shantipur Vasis the residents of Santipur. Suddenly they also came Chutananda and some of his brothers, the sons of Advaita. They also came with party and joined the party of Jhonova Devī going to Ketorigram. Anyway, in this way they went on to Kartwa the place where Lord Caitanya took his sannyas and took Gur devotees from there. And on all those so many famous cities of Caitanya Mahrabhus and his great associates pastimes. And they all went To Ketu Vikram. When they approached Ketorigram, the whole town of that of Katori. They all came out to greet these great Vaishnavas. Thousands of kīrtana parties, Chanting and bringing them into the village. Santos Roy, the king, he was very expert. He had already had a place for each of the major devotees and great sages and saints to stay in.
Santos Rai de Koenig as sirgutter.
Everything for their comfort. And so in this way all the preparations are made for the festival. The day before the festival, the people all they could talk about was this festival. Every man, woman, child, whether he was a laborer or whether he was a scholar. Everyone. All they could think about was this festival. That the town was filled with all these great devotees. Everyone decorated their doors with sugar cane, with mango leaves, with banana trees, With full pots of water, with coconut kumba on top.
With anacocusnus omdra.
In this way everyone was taking part in the festive mood. Śrīnivasacharya Thakur they all went and paid their prostrate obeisance to each of these great devotees. The direct associates, Caitanya Mahprabhu and took their blessings.
Aldis.
They showed Janava Devī all the arrangements. And she gave her blessings to go on with the festival.
Thus the fist Vitagen kune Haribo.
Then the day of Gor Pūrṇimā came.
Then come the tag from Gor Pūrṇimā.
And all the deities. They were put just in the temple room with their eyes blindfolded. And the previous night there had been so many kirtans and everything going on. So many Bhāgavatam classes and lectures were going on. Spoke by the different associates from different places. So that morning they all came together in the temple for the big Mahasankirtan and Moabhishek. The bathing of the deities and installation.
To Bharat ceremony that they so then.
Paying their obeisances to Janawad Devī, she gave the order to Śrīnivas. You begin the bay, you do the Abhishek. They were bathed with the panchagabya, Panchamrita and the different auspicious bathing substances. Honey, milk, yogurt and sugar water. As well as yogurt, the five cow products, yogurt, milk, ghee, cow dung and cow urine. And like there’s so many other things, Ganges water and everything. They bathe the deity in a wonderful ceremony. While Ashutananda and other devotees they were leading the kīrtana. Then the deities were placed in the temple on the altar. And they were dressed with beautiful clothing. And decorated with flower garlands. At that time, Janavaha Devī, she gave the order that the Mah Prashad flower garland to give it to all these associates. So all the senior associates, like Veer Bhadra, Prabhu, Achutananda, Janawa Devī, they were given these garlands from the deity.
After all of the senior vaiavas were garlanded, then Janama Devī, ask one associate, you garland Narottam Śrīnivas and all the next level of Vaishnavas.
Of the next entrench to vista.
Then taking the command from Janawa Devī, Narottam Das Thakur. And Śrīnivasacharya, they began the aarti to the deities. At that time, there was ecstatic kīrtana going on during the aarti, during the offering of lamps and other articles. Then something miraculous happened. The Kṛṣṇa deity. Did something very special. Do you know what that was? He started to emit his original fragrance, the fragrance that Kṛṣṇa’s own bodily aroma is, Which is more intense and more nectarine than millions of tons of any kind of incense or flowers or anything you can imagine.
Incense undreng.
And as that bodily order, the scent of Kṛṣṇa went over, they couldn’t hardly do the aarti. They became simply overcome with ecstatic symptoms and crying and feeling separation. And as the scent hit the devotees, it was practically, you can say, you have heard of nerve gas. Well, this was a spiritual gas.
Help Pizza Giro in Irina.
It made the devotees mad. After Kṛṣṇa, you see the jumping and the crying and falling unconscious and chanting, it reached such an intense state that no one could possibly describe that. Finally, when Kṛṣṇa stopped this miraculous demonstration by taking away that order, that’s transcendental scent, then everyone was thrown into deep separation. Then Birbhadra Prabhu, after the aarti, he told Narottam, we want to hear your song, Kīrtana. You lead the kīrtana. Now, Naratam Das Thakur was famous for his songs and for his kirtanas. So Naratam had his trained troupe of kīrtana players and drummers. So he had a number, I Forget how many 12 or 16 madrangas he had. You know, this type of clay. And all of them were first before, while he was paying his obeisances and taking their blessings, they were already warming up with him at. And they were expert.
All 16 would dance exactly simultaneously. And every beat was exactly at the same time. Sometimes down on their knees, offering respect while playing down and then down one knee like that, Sometimes jumping up, sometimes rocking back and forth from one.
Leg to the next, sometimes jumping up.
And down, playing sometimes with two hands on the same head, and sometimes both. And everything always exactly in time. Sa.
