The following is a lecture given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on May 1, 1992 – in Denver, USA. The lecture begins with a reading from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 2.5.32.

The forms of the body cannot take place as long as these created parts, namely the elements, senses, mind, modes of nature, are not assembled. Abu Quad the different kinds of bodily reconstruction of a living entities are exactly like different types of motor cars manufactured by assembling the allied motor cars. When a car is ready, the driver sits in the car and moves it as he desires. This is also confirmed in the volume of Gītā 1861. The Living Ecstasy is as if seated on the machine of the body and the car in the body is moving by the control of material nature. This says the railway trains are moving under the direction of the controller. The living entities, however, are not the bodies. They are separate from the cars of the body. They are separate from the cars of the body.

But the less intelligent and neuroscientists cannot understand the process of assembling the parts of the body, namely the senses, the mind and the qualities of the material modes. Every living entity is the spiritual spark, part and parcel of the human being. And by the kindness of the Lord, for the Father is kind to his Son, the individual living beings are given a little freedom to act according to their will to Lord. And over the generation, just as the Father gives some playthings to the crying child to set aside him, the whole material creation is made possible by the will of the Lord to allow the bewildered living entities to lord it over things as they desire.

Although under the control of the agent of the Lord, the living entities are exactly like small children playing the material field under the control of the maidservant of the Lord. They accept the Māyā or the maidservant as all in all and thus wrongly conceive the supreme truth to be feminine, goddess dorka, etc. The fullest childlike materialist cannot reach beyond the conception of the maid servant material nature. But the intelligent grown up sons of the Lord know well that all the acts of material nature are controlled by the Lord, just as the maidservant is under the control of the Master, the Father of the undeveloped children. The parts of the body, such as the senses, are the creation of the Mahat Tattva.

And when they are assembled by the will of the Lord, the material body comes into existence and the living entity is allowed to use it for further activity. This is explained as follows. Thus ends the Bhaktivedasana Swami translation and purport of the r. Bhāgavatam text 32, chapter 5, candle 2 in the matter of the Courts of all Parties, O Nada best of the Transcendentalists, the forms of the body cannot take place as one of these created parts, namely the elements, senses, mind and motives of nature are not assembled.

A very important point as explained here by Śrīla Prabhupāda, how that due to the kindness of the Lord, since every living entity is a spiritual part and parcel of the Lord, a small spiritual spark, so individual living beings are given a little freedom to act according to their will, to lord it over the material nature. How we are given our free will in order to act. So we have the choice to act according to the Lord’s plan or according to the Lord’s desire to please the Lord and his transcendental sexes. Otherwise we have that free will to ignore Kṛṣṇa and to ask for our own material Sanskritification. There’s a story by a previous Acharya which illustrates the situation. Once there was a family who had one child, only son. And they showered that sun with affection and love.

So much so that the pampered sun became a spoiled brat. There’s a saying in Bengali, Dhumala Allah do not someone who is overly given affection and spoiled. So because the parents thought they had the idea that we have to give everything that the child wants, that’s the way of expressing our love. Don’t force him to do everything. Therefore the child became very unruly and thought that he psychologically was trained in saying that the parents are actually here to serve me, rather than being trained that he has to serve the parents and the elders. And he had a responsibility. This is miserable all over the world how this happened. So one day this child locked himself in his room in the morning and night. When the morning came, he didn’t open the doors and windows.

The mother thought maybe he was up late at night, so he was a little tired. So they didn’t bother to disturb. Or it got to be after 9 in the morning, sun was high. He started knocking on the door to see if something had happened. And then the child didn’t respond. They kept howling, get up, open the door. Then the child yelled out, it’s two in the morning and they’re all scenes of the night. You are armed, Roberts. Come to attack me? I won’t open the door because you’re going to rob me. I know it’s the middle of the night, so go away from here. You see if there’s. What are you talking about? It’s already daylight. No, no, there’s no light in this room. It’s completely dark. I don’t see any light. I don’t believe you.

I don’t open the Door, you will see the light. See how it’s already completely daylight. It’s already after 9 in the morning. Why don’t you open the door? If you say that I should open the door, you are saying that the sun is so powerful, the eye of God. So if the sun is so powerful that he of course his light through my womb, then I will know that he’s there. Otherwise how can I believe you that the sun is there? The sun should penetrate through my closed doors and windows. Then only I can delete it. So the parents are getting really irritated. Open the door and you will see the light. So this child was exercising his free will. But he was doing it in a very nonsense, gaudy way. The individual living empathy also has free will. But sometimes they misuse it, condition souls.

They may demand, show me God. I won’t believe in God unless you show him to me. But it’s not that God is our slave or servant, that he has to come a new one. It’s not that the sun has to prove his presence by going into some closed room. By his own free will, he closed his doors and windows. He can’t open a peak and see if the sun is there. So it’s not actually a sincere statement. Everyone knows he’s just playing real spoiled crash. Similar to the man that I have to see God before I can believe is also another form of really intense extreme pride and false ego. By nature, God is transcendental to the material world, transcendental to the material senses. He’s not obliged to reveal itself to anybody and everybody. When someone becomes his devotee, then he reveals himself.

So this is a proper utilization of our free will. Just like if a child could have opened the door and he would have seen the light. If we open the door to our heart and let devotion to Kṛṣṇa flow, then we can see Kṛṣṇa, we can experience Ka’s presence. We don’t have to remain in the dark. That’s because of our own free will misuse of it, that someone remains in the dark. There’s so much evidence, even common sense would lead anyone to understand how the universe has got so much order, systematic aspects to it, that without such superior intelligence, it’s not possible. Einstein came to that conclusion and so many other great scientists. But there are some people there keeping their doors and windows shut. And spider, they open their eyes a little bit, they could see his light would be there. So.

In this way they come up with their own theory, just like a child. So people are coming up, scientists are coming up with different theories based on partial information. Here we see every verses, how the Lord enters into each and every universe, how he gives the energy for each and every universe to become alive, to become active. He activates each universe by his personal presence. At the same time, he impregnates the entire universe with his third soul. And so therefore the universal activities begin. Give our Lord Brahma. He creates the various planets and bodies from these raw ingredients that are provided by the Lord. This is primary creation done by Raksha, Yudishra, Mahavishnu.

Then there’s the secondary creation done by Lord Brahma, who takes the already existing building blocks and puts them together to make the 8,400,000 species of man, demigods, animals, other creatures, all the various planets. So we can’t get a very systematic understanding from the natives what is life? What is our existence? Just like today or this week, there’s so much violence going on in America on the basis of bodily identification. Somebody is thinking that I am white or I am black or I am Asian or whatever, and as a result.

(Side B of the Cassette)

This is very reason. And of course two volumes make a right. Even if initially some other people with the same kind of misconception possibly also committed such misdeeds. Very hard to say what actually happened, but that’s what people consider. So that also simply shows the lack of spiritual vision in America that in spite of 200 years plus independence that we haven’t come to the wisdom of understanding what is basic truth. Here we read in the Bhāgavatam and for the devotees this may seem like very basic understanding. Parshula Prabhupāda explains the living entities however are not the bodies. They are separate from the cars of the body. But the less intelligent cannot understand the process. And every living entity is the spiritual spark, part and parcel of the supreme Being.

So if everyone can understand that we are not the body, we just understood that basic truth, then there is no need for all deviants, there is no need for any prejudice. But there’s on both sides there’s this misconception. Someone thinking I am black, someone thinking I am white, with everyone thought I am experienced soul, I am part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa God. Whether they’re Christian or Muslim or Hindu or Kṛṣṇa conscious, whatever they may be, this problem wouldn’t be there. The problem is because the scientists haven’t realized this basic fact they’re giving. They’re the modern prophets for the people. So the whole society is remaining in this ignorance thinking they’re the body. So actually Prabhupāda repeatedly told us that Kṛṣṇa consciousness was the only hope for the world. We can see them on all the various the big Christian evangelist and our various other religious leaders.

No one is bringing out this point that we’re not the Bharat. They don’t have that understanding. But that simple understanding of the Bhagavad Gītā and the Vedas was propagated and understood. Then we have an actual basis for overcoming prejudice, for overcoming all these things. Otherwise it’s very difficult because ultimately people believe they’re the body. So no matter what they say, the bottom line they have that identification.

It’s very hard to overcome it.

Without proper spiritual understanding.

So.

The scientists there created these various theories. We still are perpetuating this bodily concept of life, bodily identification, and people believe it. This is also there’s another example regarding that the white people believe a particular thing, even this particular case, whether the person policemen were guilty or not guilty. Whatever everybody says, that’s what everyone’s going to believe. Even though the polls may say 89% of the jurors who spent days and weeks going over the case, they all said no. This ultimately, this is the kind of brainwashing that’s going on in society. It’s very difficult to actually know what is the truth because we may see one thing, but it may not be the actual reality. So there’s a story about this told by Shaki Siddhartha Sarasot, how Babawan was turned into a ghost. Apparently you all know about that. This is not the Bhagavad thing.

This is Bhagavān Pond. There was a king india. And he had a pandit who was a very dear friend of his. His name was Bhagavān Hundir. And the Bhagavān Hundit was a real Brāhmaṇa. He was truthful, simple, honest. He would always tell the king as it is to tell like it was. And so therefore the king, he had a room handle on the whole kingdom. He knew really what was going on. He was in touch with everything. So all the citizens were very happy. Everyone was very happy except the ministers. The ministers of the government, they were totally frightened because they couldn’t steal from the king. They couldn’t rip off the citizen. They couldn’t do anything because this one guy and the king, the truth. So therefore they couldn’t deceive their king and exploit the people.

So they got a meeting together and they say, you know, for the welfare of ourselves, we have to actually get rid of this Bhagavān Pandit. These are real obstacles. In other words. Yeah, this is true. Unless we get rid of Bhagavān Khandha, we can’t get any influence of the king. He’s become too powerful. So they made a path. The next day when Bhagavān Pandan came to the palace, the guard came, told, and you can’t come in, so why not? The king ordered it. Who told you? One minister came and told me. Now let me go and ask the king. I don’t care. I don’t believe this. What can I do? I am only the gate guard. And the minister tells me that the king doesn’t want you to come. What can I do? I am sorry, I can’t let you in.

So for a few days and I tried to come every day. But all the guards have been warned. Don’t let Bhagavān Pandit in. So then the king, he asked, where’s my friend Bhagavān Pandit? He doesn’t come. Manesa said, sir, you don’t know Moa. He’s dead. He died. How is that he was healthy, young. Sudden. Sudden. Some kind of sudden disease. We don’t know it’s suddenly. But he died. You know, it happens sometimes. He all had to die. Unfortunately, yes. He was a very good soul. Great sadness for all of us to see him depart. So then I can’t call his physician. What happened? Please find out what happened. Why didn’t he die? So the physicians went out. Minister.

Complicated.

10,000 Gold coins. This is it. So the physician came back. Well, there’s a seven year old. In case of. You know, in case. I am sorry or he died. So the king. He sent some gold coins to his wife and family. Take care of them. And I said, yes, you shave me then. So then we immersed him. A little bit of expensive writing with doctors. They just pocketed that money. So like this Bhagavad knanded. He was just all of a sudden in his own kingdom. He was exiled from the king. He couldn’t get to it. And the king was given by everybody. Find the same thing that Bhagavad founded. So one day the king was going out for some festival in the town. So Bhagavān Pandit knew where he would go. The annual festival. So he waited on the route.

But the ministers already were expecting. They told the guides, don’t let Bhagavān Khan go near the king. So they had a special crew keeping Bhagavad under the way. He was trying every way to get in. But they just kept himself far away. So then he had a head along the route of the parade. Where the king would be walking. He climbed up in a tree. So when the king was approaching, he yelled out. Maharaj. Maharaj. It’s me. It’s your friend. We saw the king, my lord. It’s the goal of the Pagavar convict. He may have you. We must go another way. This ghost is haunting us. We have to get away from it quickly. For your safety, Maharaj. Go this way. All the. You know you have a ghost. The ghost. And then they took the king out of the way. Ghost.

Because everyone was telling him it was the ghost. And he was dead. So what? They came. Even though he saw him, he had to believe it was the ghost. Because everyone was telling him it’s the ghost. This is called Das Chakra Bhagavān Bhoot. By a conspiracy of 10. Bhagavān Khan didn’t realize I can turn into a ghost. A living ghost. Entire lifetime. So this is what happens to the newspapers, to the media, to science. To so many different medias of Communication which are not actually giving that truth. Because they all make the same in a particular way. People get that idea. So they can turn, they can say, baba God. God is dead. People will start to believe that God is dead. Because somebody said so many people, not people say it, you believe it.

If they say anything came from the big bang, I believe it came from. Everyone tells you in high school, grade school, then suddenly they say, no, it was a primordial suit. They say it’s something else. And of course because they keep changing now people are starting to get bewildered. You know, once you say this, now you’re saying that if you all say the same thing, then it’s easy to convince everyone. If you start changing too much, of course, then they may start to doubt. Because everybody told the king the same thing that he believed in. There was no dissenting voice, no questioning, no doubting. That’s why Śrīla Prabhupāda, he wanted Kṛṣṇa consciousness to be the descending voice, to be in the darkness, the ray of light. To give people a glimmer of the truth, to understand the truth, give them the whole truth.

At least the beginning will give them a glimmer. Then as they come forward, we will give them everything according to their ability to digest it. We see that there’s nobody in society. Of course, it’s a very bold step. I don’t know if our communications department is ready to press confidence and say the whole problem of the America today and said ba they don’t know that we’re not the body. I don’t know if that’s the right method of going about it. We just tell everybody one by one in our book distribution and preaching. Whatever the system is, we have to tell people who else is doing it. And it is the problem with the world, with America. So here in the Bhāgavatam, we’re getting a very clear picture. What is universe, what is the light, what is the nature of our own existence?

You see, we have to be bold enough to tell people what is the truth. We have to be also tactful enough to do it in such a way that they can accept it. We know that recently, last year there was a lot of scandal even in the realm of science. One of the Nobel Prize winners was accused that one of his associates had fudged some big experiment and he should have known about it, but he didn’t. When a junior associate professor was working under the research, scientists revealed that actually, knowingly, she changed the data of the experiment in order to prove her point. Then at first she was rejected by society of scientists. Why are you harming the people’s faith in science? Why are you dealing with all these things?

But then when the movie and tying and all the big media got it and actually they were caught with their pants down so they started. So yeah, you did a great job by doing this. But actually the papers brought out that there wasn’t an overwhelming appreciation of squealing on my fellow scientist because I was.

Like I another conspiracy.

Thus Chakriv, if someone fit the science is meant to find the truth. And if somebody cheated, why shouldn’t everyone be happy it was revealed? So politicians, scientists, who is giving us the true picture? It’s hard to say. At least the people probably wanted us to behave in such a way that we be so one is the that people would turn to the Hare Kṛṣṇas.

To know what’s the real picture.

What do the Vedas say? At least tell us what the ancient Rishis, what Kṛṣṇa has revealed in the Vedas. This way you get someone’s unbiased opinion based on some absolute information without the propensity of achieving. There’s another story by Bhakti Sadhaka Thakur reveals how though sometimes there’s a tendency of taking advantage of cheating. That’s the story of Tunbichu Machu. If you shut up and I will shut up. There was a night guard in the village and he was protecting the entire village. He would go out town in the night in a little township, little village. He’d wrap his stick on a stone of a rose. He’d blow his whistle. People would sleep calm at night knowing we’re protected by the police, by our guard his ancient village. But actually this night guard, he was really moonlighting. Apart from moonlighting his working legs.

And he also had another side job. He was also a part time thief. He used to rob some of the three hostas houses in the night. Then he’d take some of small item of the sweet and then shove it in the pocket of some bum sleeping in the sidewalk. Then he starts beating him like you saw in the video, you know, really pounding him to the guy who was senseless and he’d drag him over. Said I caught this guy around your house, is this your sting? It was in his pocket, you know. Oh yes. Oh my goodness, I have been robbed. Oh, you got the thief. I didn’t get all the things back, but at least you got the thief, you know. The real thief of course never was plagued because he was. He was also the police. So this was going on regularly.

And although there were always thieves, but the people in the town were very confident because they always fought the thieves know what’s happening. So one night, in a dark moon night, this thief, excuse me, nightguard. He decided to rob the richest man in the village’s house. So he went very quietly in the house. All of a sudden, face to face, there was another person picked up his stick. Nearly as when he hit the other person, he saw it was a thief. One of the famous wilt me known thieves of the mountain. That thief told him, you salah, I said, You can arrest me. What will it call? What will it do to me? I am a professional thief. I am always being arrested. I go in jail for a few months, I get out, do some more theft.

You’re an honorable night guard, custodian of the village, the constable. If I reveal to everyone that your thief, then you will lose your position. You will lose your name, your fame, your salary, everything. All the social status you have. So you don’t tell anybody. I don’t tell anybody. Let’s go together. Rob the house, giving it all up.

Come.

Me too, humbly too. You be quiet. I be quiet. So then they jointly robbed the house. So then professional, he took the lion’s share of the booty and ran off. So Śrīla Bhakti Siddharthak uses sometimes it’s going on in the field of religion. Okay. You don’t criticize me, I won’t criticize you. You don’t say anything against me. I won’t say anything against you. But it’s like two thieves in the night people. They’re the ones who suffer. So he was telling this to his followers on earth. And Tuesday go out and preach. Don’t do to be Chuba Chupu. Tell the truth. Tell people like it is. Let them know what is the reality. Who is Ka? Who is God, what is life? Who we are? There’s how many. It’s.

So that’s why of course, his followers and the bold in challenging contemporary bogus preachers to reveal the defects.

They’re very bold.

So he did he. Of course he had to face opposition because of that. But in the end he was very effective, became the most prominent preacher. Unfortunately, his followers didn’t work together after his disappearance. And so they lost that momentum which he had created. So, like Baba said, we can’t be destroyed from outside. Even though there was so much opposition, the prophet couldn’t stop. Should Bhakti Siddhartha talked with preaching, but from inside. Khalid will try to divide the rule, to separate us and create division. So when we all work together cooperatively for pleasing Śrīla Prabhupāda and the previous Acharyas, then naturally that is totally pleasing to them. And that makes the devotees practically invincible. Of course they have to always enjoy. Remember why we have that protection? Because we have to. We’re dependent on the mercy of Guru and Bharan Chaitani Mahāprabhu.

Where he wanted.

His followers to always maintain that humble attitude. He would sad his preacher is all.

Over.

To request everyone to take up the chanting. Some of them were very bold. 1 I believe it was Buddhi Nartaka used torch this one in Qazi and request him to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Even though it was another religion. He kept asking, please chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. I said, well sister Pune master, I won’t chant Hare Kṛṣṇa today, I will chant tomorrow. Harevo Hareem. You already said Hare Kṛṣṇa. You have already begun chanting, so now just continue. Don’t stop already. Your success is assured simply by saying Hare Kṛṣṇa once. So they were so bold. They’re going up to the heads of government, local leaders and telling them to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Another callback. He sent some devotees and requested that please change the o’ Hare airport to.

Oh, Hare Kṛṣṇa airport.

Of course the administration of the airport didn’t consider that the request neighborly, no harm in asking. When he went to Australia to Melbourne and they challenged him that you visiting our rich country Australia, coming from the poor country India, what have you come to take from us? Believe harsh thing to say. The problem took it in a sense a duma. And he replied to them that I haven’t come to take anything from you.

I have not come to beg from you.

I have come to save you from a cat and dog’s life. They were shocked. What do you mean saving us from a cat and dog’s life. A weak cat and dog. Cat and dog. What are they doing? They’re eating. They’re eating off the street. Anything they get, you’re eating in some heist, you know, restaurant with Spainless serving and everything. Sterling, Sterling. The cat and dogs. They’re sleeping in some soft grass and you’re sleeping in some big hojam multi story building. But sleeping is the same. Once you’re asleep, what does it matter what you are? Cats and dogs, they’re having the sex on the sand, on the beach, in the street. Practically speaking, what’s the difference?

You’re either doing that or otherwise they may be doing it in your Private room where the sex life is the same and the cats and dogs, they’re fighting, they’re using their claws and their things. You’re using missiles and jets, bombs. So if this is all that your life is composed of, then what is the difference? You are just a very sophisticated cat and dog life that you’re leading. I want to show you there’s more to life than this. I come to save you from this. So the journalists say, what with their tails between their legs. Next day in the AIDS newspaper, Prabhupāda sent me the kudi in Māyāpur, probably a Hari Śrīli Prabhu to tell us more about this firsthand. He was probably there.

So they said they put in a newspaper clipping a heading that Swamiji has come to save us from a cat and God’s life. Then the sun Swamiji has come to harm us.

Oh,.

Something was there, came to save us. So still didn’t have a sense of humor they could accept. Prabhupāda was so bold when he didn’t back down from them. When they said, you come here to beg for months, he said, no, I.

Haven’t come to beg.

I come to give you. He said, brahman has come all over the world to give us Kṛṣṇa consciousness. And now he’s given us also the responsibility to give it to others. So all the devotees here in North America, cooperating together, meeting together, who are trying to better cooperate with each other, better use all the energies and abilities at their, had their command for giving this mercy. That Śrīla Prabhupāda was brought from Chaitani Mahabhu all over the world to their conditioned souls. We can see how the problem said the world is on fire. He wasn’t joking, of course, he never was joking. But actually, practically speaking, even North America, which has got so much economic development overnight, it was on fire. At least in Los Angeles and many other places, there’s so much disturbance.

People’s minds, their hearts and even their houses and shops are on fire. So Prophet warned us to put out the fire by blooding them with shaitan. Any questions? I recently listened that thing.

And.

As far as I can remember, any comment that’s okay. They may consider us animals and dogs. Swami trying to tell me, but we’re Christians though.

Remember that?

That was in 1973. The reporter came in, Prafa, he was talking to him about how people are living like cats and dogs. And then in the newspaper the next day, the report was that the Swamiji is resigned to taking birth as a dog in Its next life. That was how the reporter had understood it. Because Prabhupāda was saying we, meaning all of us. So Prabhupāda’s comment on that was that the newspaper reporter was so envious that he was thinking, yes, let the Swami be a dog. So he said anyway, he said, we don’t mind if we become Kṛṣṇa’s dog. There’s so many dogs that go over. That was 73 in 76. I think it’s a repeated theme.

Let me just interrupt for just one minute.

We can continue to clap. What is your thinking about Ayodhya Nagar? Ayodhya.

What is your thinking on that?

 will it be more specific?

Yeah.

That the temple should only remain or the mosque should also remain side by side or just nearby.

It’s a very technical question. Controversial question you’re asking me. I haven’t really deliberated too much on this specific thought.

Being devotees around,.

We like to see a temple to Ram. I think everyone wants that.

We were not.

We were a bit surprised when the temple and the structure was taken down. As far as the. Since we are not included, we have other people who are in those deliberations and they are going into the various aspects. Relating to that. They will better qualified to discuss on that topic. Is there anything in the Hindu shastra that says against. Having such a structure in Ayodhya? The problem would be that for us the Ayodhya is a holy place. It’s a tirtha. It’s a pilgrimage place. There shouldn’t be any slaughter of cow in Ayota. This is a against our principle. That’s part of having a mosque. That there would be something that we would find very suitable. Otherwise we don’t have any specific. And Vedas are very broad in terms of acceptance of people worshipping. They don’t have any kind of prejudice.

But the respect to Ram, the respect to the temples that should be preserved, that is a basic interest. Otherwise there’s such speaking against. Other people observing some other rituals. But within the town, just like we’re having a Māyāpur town, sometimes people are going and doing picnic and they’re slaughtering animals. We have to go to the high court and say this is a holy place. These things should not be permitted. Also that they shouldn’t make any butcher shop like in Haridwar. The UPI government are trying to pass some law that no animal slaughter will go on within Hundredwar. I heard like that. Considered that some day of booming or something that the Pavitrata, the purity of sanctity, of I ought to be preserved, it would be a little concern that would be stronger than I could see.

And if I having a master would be something which would encourage to make that safety, then it wouldn’t be. But if they would respect him, I don’t see what’s the difficulty, but how they will respect that question since so many lurid pundits are at liberty in any way. The government is going to do what they’re going to do. They are not listening, I don’t think, I don’t know what is the use of expressing too many opinion on that. But since you asked that.

You have a disease for a long.

Time,.

What are your future plans? What is that you want to achieve.

In your future. In terms of worldwide local. Anything, pure interest?

I mean, what is that you want us to do?

Well, we have 26 mission statements that we have made which lay out what our basic mission is like. In the mission statement for the spiritual literature, we like to see Bhagavad Gītā, Ashimat Bhāgavatam, these Vedas, especially Gītā Bhāgavata, all the Vedas may not be possible but for everyone to understand. But this, the Bhagavad Gītā, Shiva Bhāgavatam and some other essential Vedic literature should be translated into all the languages of the world and they should be distributed and made available to all of the people. So then we have our congregational mission statement where we want to see that in every family they have the opportunity to worship Lord Kṛṣṇa in their home, to gather together people living in the home and to chant and to practice the Samantha Dharma. So we like to see the mission statement as you see every home become like a temple.

So like we have some very broad objectives. Yeah. Objective for education to have Vaishnav universities that have complete knowledge but also their youth are knowledge in the Vedic cultures and Athena Dharma, Vaishnav Tattvas. And already some institute has been started in Florida. And we are planning a university as they call india. There is a special name for that. They call it. They call it deemed university. They don’t make. They call it deemed university. They mean a deemed at the university. So their degrees and everything are accepted. So we are planning, we have just been discussing with the Madras University, Calcutta University and the government to make one university giving postgraduate degrees, especially in Vedic studies.

So we want to have one here in America as well as one india with ideas that know, for instance, in universities in America and in the west, they have gone to Hinduism study or indology or Indian studies, something of the kind. But what’s happening is mostly the professors and those subjects are maybe Christians or some other. They’re not Hindus. So they tend to give some type of viewpoint which is either slightly distorted or maybe not quite favorable. So previously it was like that also and the Islamic study was being all taught by the Western professor. But now the Islam people have become more activated and they have got their own Islamic university. So now they’re having followers of Islam with these degrees and they’re the ones who are teaching Islamic studies.

Since that happened, the students in the west have got a more favorable idea about Islam from them. So we feel that Hindu studies should also have people who are Hindus who are teaching that they will have a greater impact. All the students are going to university, going to college. So part of their curriculum is they have to take some type of compared to religion course. So when they go for the Hinduistic study, there should be some qualified people who are actually Hindus who are believing in that. So that one of our objectives is to create such a type of university where we can get degrees which will be acceptable in Harvard, in Yale, in UCLA or any of the big universities, Oxford, all over the world.

Here we have objective to have many temples which are a place where people can go to worship the deity or there can also be training center, cultural center. The objective to have a self sufficient farm community where cows are protected, just like in Mississippi. Here we have a farm in Caryer, Mississippi. They have more than 108 cows and they are protecting those cows from being slaughtered. And the cows are very happy. They’re giving a lot of nice milk. So there we also they have a plan to build a nice project with a big Hindu temple of Indian architecture today as a pilgrimage place. So you have like 26 different mission statements. As I go through all of them, maybe you will. Mr. Garba again. So I don’t know. But our objective is very. We are seeing this mission in the future.

The whole world was going to gradually become very much affected by the Sanātana Dharma. And they’re going to see because the profound teachings of Bhagavad Gītā, of the Vedas are so great that gradually people, the scientific people, they cannot help but come to this concept. Just like about five years ago, 30% of Americans believe that reincarnation, but none of the official American religion except reincarnation. But 30% of Americans believe in reincarnation. Five years ago, I think today I haven’t seen the recent, but if they took today, maybe it’s already 50% or at least if people know about reincarnation, this must be 95% to 100 to 99%. Everyone knows about it. When I was a student in university, I never heard of reincarnation until I got to the university.

But now, even when I was flying here, there was some kind of movie where there was something about reincarnation. It’s a common thing they use as a comedy. You reincarnate as your father or something. I don’t know, something comedy thing. But it’s a very comedy. They don’t know what it is. They don’t know clearly about it, but they know something about it. So they’re knowing about karma people. A lot of people now becoming vegetarian, which is a standard Hindu recommended diet. People are going to our restaurants. We have a program where we have many restaurants all over the place. They were all giving nice Indian cuisine and vegetarian Prashad diet. We want to have an educational program for the children.

We also have a special summer camp program that we’re planning to develop in Mississippi so that the Indian children can get away for a couple weeks and have a special program. We already have such a program in Philadelphia Farm in Pennsylvania. These are some of them. As I said, we have many different. We have many broad goals. And to make this successful, what we need is to have a lot of interaction with the Hindus here in North America, with all the devotees of Kṛṣṇa and to work together to see that we can systematically. These are very long term objectives, but gradually we want to achieve them step by step. Not that all at once can be achieved, but over a period of time to congratulate.

So we also want to help all the Indian temples and try to participate in their different functions and encourage their youth, encourage their families in their practice of Hindu Dharma sanata environment. Some of our children learned from Chaitanya Dāsī. They learned Bharat Natyam and different types of Indian dancing. They also wanted to present some dance dramas for you. And I know that some of the local Indian girls also are learning how to dance. With Paraghi’s presentation, we have also cultural objectives. We have a scientific preaching program. We have scientists who are trying to show how the Vedic concepts are scientific. That’s a very big topic. And they have been producing a lot of books recently.

There was one called Forbidden Archaeology pointing out how the archaeologists have been very selective in accepting data and some of theories that they are trying to prove are not really proved. If you take the data as it is, if you’re objective in them. So they have done a lot of research and found that there’s a lot of data which is being rejected, which is just as valid as what’s being accepted. And so it comes about that if you don’t have the same theory that they do, then it’s like your theory of archaeology is forbidden. You have to have the mainstream theory. And there’s other people are being very active and quite mechanics.

They have done some research and found that, as you know, quantum mechanics has come to kind of a position where some Nobel science winners have come to the idea that consciousness is the next realm or the subatomic particles are acting in an unpredictable way, like conscious entities. So some of our scientists have found various evidences and a lot of research in quantum mechanics. And there are mathematicians who have worked on certain formulas and so they’re trying to present how some linear concepts actually reveal things related to quantum mechanics and so on. It’s a field that I thought that’s a bit too technical for me. There’s like many different areas which the world are working in and we have many objectives like that.

I would think that here there’s a need since to have the ISKCON worldview given to some of the members here, so they may know what some of our objectives are, what’s happening around the world. It.
