The following is a lecture given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on April 17, 1992 – in Śrī Māyāpur, India. The lecture begins with a reading from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.11.2-4.

Ram. Ram. It. Sa. Sam. Translation Atoms are the ultimate state of the manifest universe when they stay in their own form without forming different bodies. Bodies. They are called the unlimited oneness. There are certain different bodies and physical forms, but the atoms themselves form the complete manifestation. One can estimate time by measuring the movement of the atomic combination of bodies. Time is the potency of the Almighty Personality of Godhead and who controls all physical movements, although he is not visible in a physical world. Atomic time is measured according to discovering a particular atomic space. That time which covers the unmeneted aggregate of atoms is called the Great Time. Replied time and space are two correlative terms. Time is measured in terms of covering a certain space of atoms. Standard time is calculated in terms of the movement of the sun.

The time covered by the sun in passing over an atom is calculated as atomic time. The greatest train of all covers the entire existence of the non dual manifestation. All the planets rotate and cover space and space is calculated in terms of atom. Each planet has its particular orbit for rotating in which it moves without deviation. And similarly the sun has its orbit. The complete calculation of the time of creation, maintenance and dissolution, measured in terms of circulation of the total planetary system until the end of creation is known as the Supreme Kala. Thus end the Bhaktivedanta Swami Translation purport to take Sutri and Torah. Chapter 11 Chantal 3 of the Śrīmad Dagavata in the matter of calculation of time from the atom. This section of the Bhāgavatam is giving us further explanation of the universe.

What Brahma has created the universe from the existing material elements. So building blocks of the universe have been described here as atom and that time and space are correlated. Decide to calculate the velocity how many kilometers per hour. So this kind of calculation is also used in the universe. How long it is takes to cover so many atom states. The space occupied by an atom is a constant and the time to cover that space is also a measurable item. In this way time can be understood. Later in the Bhāgavatam it will explain how the time it takes for molecules for atoms to combine together to form molecules discompolated in the radar and that is used as the basic subatomic sub second microsecond type of unit of time which multiplies many times becomes seconds. And this way time is calculated according to atomic reactions.

Just as modern science has nuclear clocks and these are considered to be the most accurate. Somalidas used atomic measure for time. So all these this knowledge of the creation. How do we know about Creation. This happened when were not present in this body, but millions and millions of years before. But this is revealed in the Vedas and handed down through the discipline succession. We are very grateful to the disciples succession for giving us knowledge of absolute truth. So today also some of our previous Acharyas have taken their appearance. Therefore we’re very grateful to them. An opportune time to remember some of their transcendental qualities. Today is the appearance day of Shyama Nanda Prabhu. Shyama Nanda Prabhu is the son of his mother Sidurika. And her father is Śrī Kṛṣṇa Mando. He was born here in at Dund. His father migrated to Orissa.

He was living in Dundasar Grand. He. His father migrated there originally was in Bengal. So he actually lived 94 years teaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness. From his very birth he was already Kṛṣṇa conscious. Spiritually attracted practical spiritual life. And he took permission from his father and went to visit various holy places. So first he wanted to visit the holy places of Chaitanya Mahmud in Gora Mama. And he went to Kambika Kauna. And there he saw the deity the Gauri Daskandha avoid Chaitanya Nirveyananda. When he saw those deities, he became overwhelmed with transcendental ecstasy. And that ecstasy manifesting different symptoms uncontrollably. So the disciple. Who was worshiping those deities, he could see that spontaneous devotion of Shamananda. Therefore he took mercy on him and gave him a lot of mercy. Because became kind to him and gave a lot of mercy.

And eventually he gave him initiation, became his initiating guru. Actually Shyam Ananda was known as Duki Kṛṣṇadar. Because when he was born, his father had. He had many brothers and sisters. But they all died for some reason or another. Said father was sad to lose the other children. So he called he expressing his sadness, he called Sanguki. So after Samananda was in this form of initiations of Vidayananda, he was sent to Vrindavan. On his way to Vrindavan he visited many holy places of India. Then he went to Vrindavan. He studied under Śrī Jirva Goswami. He was doing personal medial service every day, squeezing the last mandal he was with. And one day he found Rādhārati ankle belt there in the last mandal. And actually when he found Radarani’s angle belt, he took it and touched it to his forehead.

Where he touched the angle belt to his forehead, it created a white mark in the center of his forehead and then never left. So the members of his family or his son Bradaya they still put the white dot with a newborn and touched the forehead of Shyamnanda. So. Chandananda when he saw Ramana Shamasundra dear Ji became so when in worshipping words of Rādhā Rani and Shyama Sundara he became fulfilled with continental Ananda. So then Śrī Viva that he shouldn’t be called Duki anymore Because now he’s Ananda Mohi filled with happiness and worshiping channel. He gave him the name Cham whether they accepted by all the Vaishnav. On this day Shyamananda became very dear to all the Vaishnavas very great devotees. His life history is briefly mentioned in Bhakti of Nakar Other books also he was a contemporary of Narasandas Chakra and Śrīnivas Acharya.

He accompanied Śrīnivasa Shari and Narasandasakwa in the first book distribution exposition of. He went to. Brother in Bangkok. And she knocked on that taco to Cape police when he was looking for the book. Eventually he found them. The chairman of the Pundit was given a copy of our books and he established Vaishnav Dharma. He was a very dynamic creature. By his preaching he converted many Yavaras, many Hindi Rays and non Hindus were initiated into Vaishnava Dharma and made into pure white talents. He had unlimited disciples. And his forefather. Re established a BS there. And they still have to be a very big festival. So now our festival hurries to go to these places and do festivals on the occasion of the right now festival similar many places where hundreds of thousands of tens of thousands of people gather.

So this time festival started by our previous. But what happened is Naomi so many other people have taken over. A lot of times these festivals have degenerated. So it is a good time now that Māyāpur and an festival bus to go to these different places at the time when they have their festival. And that was a very nice preaching of Kṛṣṇa Granted more Kṛṣṇa program speaking to the previous Acharya. We were in Bangladesh to get to the ground and someone started chanting there. He said and we said that it should chant Mah for some people there. They objected. Then the devotees had a very big debate with these Upper Al people and convinced all the local people to share Harish to Mahamantra.

And more or less they kind of throw out the existing people that were doing opposum for d or they were pretty much sidelined. And hundreds of thousands of people outstanding Hare Kṛṣṇa. So the very ancient tradition based throughout all these Acharyas they have established various communities. And this is A good opportunity to lose traditions that they started and bring them back in line with the original teachings of the substradia and preach Kṛṣṇa practice to all the thousands of people that come. Although familiar disciples, there were many prominent disciples who were really great teachers as well. The most dominant disciple was Rashida who spent another time in Muna. So. Today on this 20 month in the year 1456 South Africa, what is Sarkofsky translate into 5th? No, no. Satvanga is a way of. There’s a Praka dynasty you say from that period.

It’s like There’s a Sagamta 506 years. They say after BC or AC DC AC after AD after Jesus Christ 1992. So this startup there is a layer. There’s also one diamond feet of sat up. So that’s how they used to use during the time of worship. That was the calendar people were using the Saka. One year of Lord Shami was born in year 1407. So since 1456 that means that Moshe county was in 1486. This dad 1407. So that’s 79 years difference. So this means 79 years difference added to this become 65 and 7. 65, 1635. He appeared in 1535 Virginia. So that’s almost. That’s not 500 years yet. That’s 400460 years. He had other 40 years for his 500 anniversary. So we can have a lot of 500 anniversary celebrations. Also today is the appearance of Banshee vadamba. He appeared 1415.

That was only nine years after Lord Krishanya. He was a fluke in his incarnation of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s mountain in the Purva Viva Kṛṣṇa’s pastime. He was there at Kṛṣṇa he came down to assist Lord Ca as. So when he was. When he appeared Somehow at that time Lord Chania and a went house by Guybus. When Lord Chitanya took Samya Bhansheevadhan Ghana became the protector of Satimatra Vishnu Priya. He took care of them, he served them. Later he got married but he continued to. He had two clothes and remained in Satania God. And he continued to serve them. His family was devotees of word Kṛṣṇa to the right now family. Then his forefather Savin Isophina which he worshipped as a child.

And that deity was situated in Cunia Baharpur which is the Navitri Navitli Brazil and Punya path that anyone knows that the Harpur is in Navativism and that’s where the Deity was. Maybe this deity is still there somewhere in Navadis. Because it mentions that the Goram in Nanavi was established by Vang Śiva Gaṅgā and the retaining of the mission of Kishmutriya. I don’t know if it’s the same Rangadi we saw. Is that the same deity we see? He also established one maritime city called Pranavala which is in Ādi somewhere in K. On that side of when I see Acharya was looking for a guru and he came to Navadip. At that time Mr. Priya had a dream of and sent Bansi Vadhan out.

It mentioned in the Bhakti Radnadar that Banksi Vaddhan came looking for Śrīniva and Shriniv Raj had already was coming looking for Vikiranda and Advaita. They’d already left. Śrī Raj knocked already left to go. So he was very. He heard that he was like mad wandering in the street crying same thing. And suddenly one Sivadhan came up to him and said Are you Śrīnivas said yes. So Kapavati wants the seal. You can’t see Vishnu Priya he mentioned there. He brought Shinivas to Vishnu Priya. Shadow produces Vishnu Priya. And Vishnu Priya revealed the dream that Lord Chan had that she had of Lord Shania. And the instructions that Lord Chan told her to give him about going him in knowledge. So like this was a very intimate sort of liberated Nithya Siddha. He also appeared today on this Purima day.

This today is also the day of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Ra. Lord Kṛṣṇa had a springtime as Leva and that was performed today. And this song also Lord Balaram has a Ras Leela and he performs that Ras Leela today on this full moon day explains how Nithyananda is the incarnation of Balaram and Balaram is Kṛṣṇa. This is Kṛṣṇa. All the pastimes that Kṛṣṇa has Balarāma also him. But in his own time and with his own devotees. Sometimes together with Kṛṣṇa. Sometimes sometimes separately. So this is a special aspect. Also in this same day that Lord Balaram has. So one time someone asked how was that worship between Kṛṣṇa and Balaram. And then some of the creditors dark blue color and color on his white there completely not your friend Kṛṣṇa given all his potencies, all his everything to Lord Balaram. There’s light voices there.

Kṛṣṇa is the original Balaram. As a first expansion he has basically all of the activities that Kṛṣṇa has in his own right. Allah Kiknai Allah. First expansion of knowledge actors. He’s also the source of unlimited happiness devoted but today gives happiness to the. So we’re discussing kindness. Kindness. Something that we try to calculate in the material world. You know, when the Raheeru Anan Gopīs were cursing their time that it took for them.

(Side B of the Cassette)

To blink. When they were blinked, they were fear of separation from Kṛṣṇa for that moment of time that their eye was shut. And they felt like cursing Brahma the way he has created such a defective body which doesn’t allow you to see Kṛṣṇa without any interruption. On one hand, for the Gopīs, even a microsecond, whatever the time it takes to blink was like a huge period of time. Because they had so much intense desire to see Kṛṣṇa uninterruptedly. Because of their intense desire, when the Rastiva was performed, that one night became expanded to a day of Brahma which is millions and millions of years. So because Kṛṣṇa is the supreme time, he can extend the time unlimitedly or shrink it, whatever. Externally we see things in a rigid way. But on the transcendental platform, the spiritual nature is above this time factor.

So when one is purely in the transcendental platform, they can also transcend the material time factor. And even in a Rasila, which by external calculation takes one night. For the Gopīs, it was like a day of Brahma, it was extended for them. So in this way time we can see it’s a relevant factor, the presence of the Lord for this material world where here there’s past, present and future. But in the spiritual world there’s a different kind aspect that is called Mithya Bhartaman. Eternally present, there’s no past, there’s no future. It’s eternally the present. Everyone is living in real time. So devotional service is eternal. It’s being rendered beyond time and space. While we’re in this world of temporary time and space, if we fully absorb ourselves in the service of Kṛṣṇa in devotional service, then we are also beyond the influence of time.

Spiritually, our self remains connected with Kṛṣṇa under all circumstances. So when we leave the body, then we remain connected with Kṛṣṇa. We go back to Kṛṣṇa in the spiritual world. We serve Kṛṣṇa wherever he likes. We can see here that Shyamananda Prabhu. He was regularly going to the classes of Śiva Goswami. And he was doing menial service in the holy dam. He was sweeping the dam. How fortunate for the devotees to get to sweep the Dham. Here’s our new Bhaktas. They’re so fortunate. They get to sweep the Dharm first. Actually, it’s an opportunity for everyone to purify themselves. Even the Goddess of Fortune sweep the Chintamanis in the spiritual world. The Shyavananda was taking him in your service. He was sweeping. So he got the mercy of Rādhārāṇī’s Nupur, which believe later One of the Gopīs came and claimed for Rādhārāṇī.

So we very sincerely serve Guru and Garanga. Then we can also get the mercy of Rādhā and Madhavat. We can realize our eternal nature. We develop full devotion for them. Although Shyam Ananda, he had fully developed his desire to serve Rādhā and Shyam Sundar, that’s why Śrī Jīva gave him name Shamananda. He had developed a Lova, the intense desire of serving the Lord. Still he took the service of going and distributing the books. Bringing the books back to Bengal. He went and preached, said he initiated many Yavanas, as I mentioned earlier. A very interesting point. Because sometimes we feel that if we engage in preaching, this is not transcendental activity or something, or it’s not the highest activity. But we see that these great liberated souls, these Nipyasuddha devotees, in order to satisfy Lord Caitanya, they also engage themselves in preaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

Even in preaching to meat eaters, even inucleating them into Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

So of course there’s a good hidden.

About the glory of Shyama Nanda Prabhu,.

His grand disciple also wrote some book about him. But. Here’s just a very brief overview. The personal expansions of the body of Adulani. Chandravali is a competitor just to create some more flavor in Vrindavan. But Rādhārāṇī is really the undisputed champions. And these are the direct expansions of Rādhārāṇī.

So we are following in the camp.

Of Rādhārāṇī Rūpa Goswami, Rūpa Manjari, the.

Ninth Gopī we’re following.

We’re Rupanugas. We follow Rūpa Goswami. We’re followers of Raga and Kṛṣṇa. I never heard of any sample diaphragm. Any other questions? Yes. Śrī Las Kakur or Sivas Per Woo, sometimes called Śrīnivas Prudhu is a Panchatatva. But to distinguish the two, in Vaishnava circles, we say Shrinivas Acharya. That means that the Acharya who was a contemporary of Narayam, he was given the title Acharya because he was very expert at explaining the Bhāgavatam. So when you say Sivas Prabhu or Sivas Pundit, then you mean Panchatatwa. When you say Śrīnivas Acharya, then you mean Bi’ Acharya.

It.
