Jayapataka Swami: Gaurāṅgaaaaaa! Gaurāṅgaaaa!

Prema-vivarta 2.1

caitanyera rūpa guṇa sadā paḍe mane
parāṇa kādāya, deha phāpāya saghane

Prema-vivarta 2.2

kādite kādite mane ha-ila udaya
lekhanī dhariyā likhi chhāḍi’ lāja bhaya

Prema-vivarta 2.3

nāmete ‘paṇḍita’ mātra, ghaṭe kichhu nāi
caitanyera līlā tabu likhibāre chāi

Prema-vivarta 2.4

gosāñi svarūpa bale, “ki likha paṇḍita”
āmi bali, “likhi tāi yāhāte pīrita

Prema-vivarta 2.5

caitanyera līlā-kathā yāhā paḍe mane
likhiyā rākhiba āmi ati saṅgopane”

svarūpa balena, “tabe likha prabhura charita
yāhā paḍi’ jagatera habe baḍa hita”

āmi bali, “jagatera hita nāhi jāni
yāhā yāhā bhāla lāge tāi likhe āni”

Prema-vivarta 2.8

svarūpa chhāḍila more bātula baliyā
ekā basi’ likhi āmi prabhu dheyāiya

Prema-vivarta 2.9

dekhichhi aneka līlā thāki’ prabhu-saṅge
kichhu kichhu likhi tāi nija mano-raṅge

Jayapatākā Swami: Viśvambhara and Jagadānandā had some quarrel after the school and He left Jagadānandā alone and then Jagadānandā was having these realizations.

Prema-vivarta 2.17

āhā se caitanya-pada bhajanera sampada
kothā ebe gela āmā chhāḍi’

Oh! Those wonderful lotus feet of Lord Caitanya, where have they gone? They are the treasure of the practice of devotional service, they have left me alone.

āmāke pheliyā gela mṛtyu mora nā ha-ila
śoke āmi yāi gaḍāgaḍi

Jayapatākā Swami: He has left me alone, my death has not come. So, in my lamentation I am just rolling on the ground.

Prema-vivarta 2.18

eka-dina śiśu-kāle du-janete pāṭhaśāle
kondale karinu hātāhāti

Jayapatākā Swami: One day in our childhood at the Sanskrit school, Viśvambhara was of opposite group of me and we were quarrelling with each other.

māyāpure gaṅgā-tīre paḍiyā duḥkhera bhāre
kādilāma eka-dina rāti

Jayapatākā Swami: I was feeling so bad, I went to side of the scared Ganges in Navadvīpa dhāma and I sat on the bank and for the whole day and night I just cried.

Prema-vivarta 2.19

sadaya ha-iyā nātha nā ha-ite parabhāta
gadādharera saṅgete āsiyā

Jayapatākā Swami: My Lord Viśvambhara filled with mercy, He came to see me along with Gadādhara Prabhu during the night.

ḍākena, “jagadānanda! abhimāna baḍa manda
kathā balo vakratā chhāḍiyā”

Jayapatākā Swami: He was calling out my name ‘Jagadānanda! Jagadānanda!’ “It is not so good to be so angry, give this up and come to us. Speak to us giving up your anger and stubbornness.”

Prema-vivarta 2.20

prabhura vadana heri’ abhimāna dūra kari’
jijñāsilāma, “eta rātre kena

Jayapatākā Swami: Seeing the beautiful ecstatic face of Lord Caitanya, my anger and pride went away. I replied to the Lord, “What brings You here so early in the morning, in this darkness of early morning, late night?”

nadīyāra kaḍā bhūmi chali’ kaṣṭa pāile tumi
mo lāgi’ tomāra kaṣṭa hena”

Jayapatākā Swami: “Nadiā path is very hard and walking on this will cause pain to Your lotus Feet. Why should You accept this suffering on my behalf?”

Prema-vivarta 2.21

prabhu bale, “chala chala niśi avasāna bhela

Jayapatākā Swami: Prabhu said, “Come on, come on, let’s go! The night has already passed!”

gṛhe giyā karaha bhojana

Jayapatākā Swami: “Come to My house and take your prasāda-meal.”

tava duḥkha jāni’ mane chhilāma āmi anaśane

Jayapatākā Swami: “I have also known your suffering; I have also been fasting all this time.”

śayyā chhāḍi’ bhūmite śayāna

Jayapatākā Swami: “I left my bed and was sleeping on the floor.”

Prema-vivarta 2.22

hena-kāle gadādhara āila āmāra ghara

Jayapatākā Swami: “At that time Gadādhara came to my house.”

duhe āinu tomāra tallāse

Jayapatākā Swami: “The two of us have been looking for you.”

bhāla haila māna gela ebe nija gṛhe chala

Jayapatākā Swami: “So, it is good that your angry, pride has left, now come to my house.”

kāli khelā kariba ullāse”

Jayapatākā Swami: “Tomorrow we shall play in joy.”

Prema-vivarta 2.23

gadāi-charaṇa dhari’ uṭhilāma dhīri dhīri
prabhu-ājñā ṭhelite nā pāri

Jayapatākā Swami: Grabbing the lotus feet of Gadādhara prabhu I gradually lifted myself up because it was not possible for me to ignore the orders of my Lord. I had to do what Lord Caitanya had requested.

prabhura gṛhete giyā kichhu khāi jala piyā
śuilāma daṇḍa dui chāri

Jayapatākā Swami: I went to the Lord’s house and took something with water, then I laid down for two to four dandās (one dandā=45 mins).

Prema-vivarta 2.24

prāte śachī-jagannātha more dilā dudha-bhāta
prabhu saṅge paḍite pāṭhāya

Jayapatākā Swami: In the early morning, Śacī Mātā and Jagannātha Miśra gave me rice-milk and then send me off with Lord Viśvambhara to study.

paḍiyā śuniyā tabe āilāma gṛhe yabe

Jayapatākā Swami: After doing my studies, listening to the lessons I went to my house.

prabhu mora gṛhe āsi’ khāya

Jayapatākā Swami: Viśvambhara came to my house and took His prasādam.

Prema-vivarta 2.25

kondalera pare prema haya yena śuddha hema

Jayapatākā Swami: The feeling that one has for one’s beloved after a quarrel is settled, is pure nectar.

kata sukha manete ha-ila

Jayapatākā Swami: My mind was feeling so much happiness.

prabhu bale, “ei lāgi’ tumi rāgo, āmi rāgi

Jayapatākā Swami: The Lord said, it is for this reason because of our mutual love for each other, sometimes you get angry and sometimes I get angry.

paraspara prema-vṛddhi bhela”

Jayapatākā Swami: So, the love we feel for each other, increases after every quarrel.
