20250304 - NMP Addressing Nāmahaṭṭa A Party in Surabhi Kuñja [Bangla]

Jayapatākā Swami: Śrīla Prabhupāda kī jaya! Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura kī jaya! Surabhi kī jaya! You have all had darśana of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura’s home and have come to Surabhi-kuñja now. So out of the nine islands this is Godrumadvīpa, which is dedicated to kīrtana. Now you are all walking small distances. When there is the dissolution of the earth, all the places get submerged in water. But at that time, the nine islands of Navadvīpa including Godrumadvīpa, they are sitting on the water. And they expand further. It is written in the scripture that here Markaṇḍeya Ṛṣi had been blessed that he would live for nine days of Lord Brahmā. He had a curse that his son would live for nine years. In Jagannātha Purī his father worshiped the Śiva-liṅga and held on to it. So when Yamadūta came Lord Śiva also came along and said that he would live for so many years of Lord Brahmā. When the whole world was dissolved, he was still alive and he was going around not finding anything to eat. There was water around. Then he saw Godrumadvīpa which was sitting on top of the water. He then went there and his body became very weak. Then Surabhi was there and he prayed to her to please give him her milk. Then here in Surabhi-kuñja he got milk from the cow Surabhi and got saved. Lord Nityānanda did lot of kīrtana in Surabhi-kuñja. In this place devotees roll to get the mercy of the dust of the lotus feet of Lord Nityānanda. Now also Surabhi is there, but we are not so fortunate as to see her! If any of you can see her, that will be very good! So this is one of the sacred places of Navadvīpa. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
