The following is a lecture on Navadvīpa-maṇḍala Parikramā given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on March 7, 1982 – in Śrī Māyāpur, India.

And then he will think of so.

Many schemes, so many artificial material schemes, how to preach, which are based on mental speculation and which are based in the first understanding that the mission given by Śrī Chitanya Mahāprabhu is not sufficient to deliver befallen souls. And when he thinks like that, then he immediately starts speculating processes for preaching and falls down because he is losing connection with the mission of the Lord. Therefore, we take the Karampura system. What has been given by Shiloh, we are trying to give.

He is giving what is given by Shiloh, Boki, Siddhānta, Saraswati Ṭhākura, which is the ability to breach this Kansas movement and the ability to accept the chanting of the holy name of the Lord as the primary duty in this age of college, worshipping the supreme Lord, Chichitanya Mahāprabhu, along with his associates, by the chanting of the holy name, congregational chanting by the organized Society for spreading Kashmir Khandhe Shulabak ibn Hotar court told us that we must have a society and it must be organized. Otherwise, the effort of one man here, one man there will not be sufficient and then there will be so many deviations. Therefore, on these days, let us just meditate on the mission of Chichikanda Mahaprabhuvi.

Idea of preaching, the idea of becoming purified, the idea of chanting and hearing properly, and the idea of just maintaining the christian mission as it was given by the Lord and as it is handed down to this day. And then gradually, the whole world will become again flooded by love of goddess. And if there are some times when it is not exactly successful, then we should be patient, making ourselves humble, that whether the result comes or not, that is up to the Lord. But if we are purified, if we try to become pure and pure, we are sincere and enthusiastic. Definitely the supreme Lord will bless us, will show us exactly how to bring Kṛṣṇa consciousness to all his fallen souls.

So, his Holiness, Shirikam Maharaj, veteran of preaching all over the world, even in places where nobody wanted to go, he would go alone to Korea, to Taiwan, to all kinds of abominable places, where they eat anything and everything, where they do everything, where they have no understanding of God, their preaching spirit, his preaching spirit is very important. So I’d like to introduce his holiness for speaking to us and enlightening us on the preaching mission of Śrī ji Sani Mahabharata.

I was thinking at the last spot about this māyā body business. The one feature that they failed to account for is that we see very much evident in this relationship, we see that there is such a thing called love. Of course, in the view where we barely see diverted reflection, but still there are so many poets and songwriters speaking about this phenomenon. So this exchange between lover and beloved.

This is it takes two.

So their idea that everything is one doesn’t account for this phenomenon. Bhagavad Gītā explains very nicely that this material world is a reflection, just like in the water, you can see reflection of the tree. So here we see there’s so much exchange in relationship. Someone is friends, someone is a servant, someone is a parental, so on husband and wife. So all these relationships are there.

So how can it be that in.

The spiritual world, which is the origin, there is no such relationship. There is the right relationship, and relationship means two, the Lord and the living entity. So that relationship has to be developed, that real love can be understood. If we take this process of cleansing our heart by gradually becoming immersed, getting attraction for these spiritual activities, then our eternal relationship with the Lord will develop. So, of course, we’re at the neophyte stage, barely we’re able to get free from the attachment for material sense objects. But if we just remain faithful, as we are doing in class this morning, we remain loyal to the order of the spiritual master. Then suddenly our future is very bright, and we can have great hope, enthusiastic hope, that we can also come to that stage of meeting the Lord face to face.

Just like now, we can see each other. So we can also come to know the Lord. But that requires our purification. Now we are in a contaminated state. We are not able to control our senses. At every step we are being degraded by the embarrassment of this illusory energy. She is attracting us, dragging us this way and that way. So Śrī Lanka Prabhupāda needs to emphasize this sense control. This is the beginning. If we can’t control our senses, then what can we do? So we are hearing from Jayataka about this great guru. His name was again Sangatakaur, who considered himself so unqualified that he, even on the order of Lord Caitanya, hesitated to take disciples, because this is the most exalted position and at the same time the most responsible position.

Therefore, we have to give more cooperation to those who have taken this mantle. We should assist in every way, because actually it is the most difficult job in the world. This is not exaggeration. If there’s a least little.

Slight deviation.

Then they will be having so such a personality. He can’t have any distinction between his public and his private life. So it is a great sacrifice. Sometimes we may think, oh, they are a guru. They have such exalted position, all facility. But you should actually understand that it is the most difficult job. You have to sacrifice everything. All your privacy, all your private life has to be finished. Just to become instrument in the hand of the Lord, to take this most responsible position, to deliver the disciple. Therefore, this relationship, this guru relationship or position of guru ism essential to our Vaishnav philosophy. We have to understand it properly, position of the guru. And then everything will go on.

So, in the same way, we are trying to understand more and more our relationship with our spiritual master, Śrīla Prabhupāda, by taking up his order, as Śrī Lahar Keshe was saying, to preach, it’s a preaching movement. So we have to take the trouble of going out and introducing this Sankhetan movement. Now is the opportunity to become convinced that this is not some artificial imposition. This is the real life, this chain heart Kṛṣṇa associating with Devonis, taking prasada. This will actually benefit everyone, enthuse everyone. Otherwise, how is it that we are finding ourselves more and more surcharged with this spiritual energy to go on to increase?

It is not some bluff.

Śrīna Prabhupāda is not cheating us. There is Kṛṣṇa, and we can know him. But first of all, we have to be purehearted. We have to give up our sense gratification. We have to come to the standard of purity. That means no illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling, no eating, chanting regularly. So be very strict in your personal sadhana. Take this vow very seriously. And then gradually, the Lord will empower you. The Lord is in your heart. He will give you the intelligence, he will give you the facility, whatever is needed. He carries what you lack, deserves what you have. But you have to be true to him.

You have to be loyal.

At this point, I very much appreciated. This morning in our class, Shripala spoke about this loyalty.

If we’re not loyal to Rla Prabhupāda.

And his mission, then what is our position? We need to be kicked in the face. That’s as he would say. So take up this position of servant for the spiritual master’s mission. Try to find out what it is that pleases him. If that means becoming spiritual master, then we can accept. If that means remaining insignificant positions, then don’t be hankering. Find out his order. That is the real satisfaction.

To execute the order of the spiritual.

Master will bring you full satisfaction. That is the fact. So don’t be dissatisfied.

Go on with your service.

And certainly you will be rewarded by the spiritual man.

He is the friend.

He is the ever well wisher. His blessing will be upon you.

Hare Kishdhe. So because someone reminded me that it’s.

Late today.

He won’t go to the next three places. Next to this, just only three fullons down the road, is the birthplace of Vrindavan daj Thakur.

Good night.

Vrindavan Thakur ki, you know that Vrindavan Thakur, his mother was Narayani. Narayani, being such a highest woman, pure devotee, was able to get the dias of Chaitanya bastard to appear as her son. And he, appearing here in Abaditz, later went to another place in Perduan where he wrote down the pastimes. He was the great devotee of Nidai gore Gor Nidai. And in this way, some people are fortunate to be born in the holy town of Nabothree. Some people are born different parts of the world for taking part in the past times of Chiktanya, Mahabharatan, Kirito, improvement. But for everyone, our deep is our eternal home. Because this is not only our eternal home. When it’s eternal home, especially it’s our eternal home, just because from this is the Nidra God.

When Lord Chaitanya crossed the Ganges from here, he went up to Katwa to take sannyas for pinching Sankirtan throughout the rest of India as a sannyāsī, as he had preached for ten years in Nawaddin, is a grihasma. So ordinarily the prikamas, they go to the river where there’s the temple of Nalayana, because that is where 130 voti saw Lord Chitami and he appeared as Nārāyaṇa. And they crossed over and walked back to the temples in Māyāpur, three, 4 miles. But today we thought that we will go back by the vehicles we came instead. So this is the first time. Actually, someone may be thinking that today it took a little longer. Of course, we left a little later. But actually, many pilgrimage groups take four days to cover today. But we covered in one day. You have seen that they walk the whole way.

When we came to the last place, they were leaving and they walked here. They took their darshan. Now they’re leaving. But sometimes they camp and stay on each island for one day and go to the next. Bastilino Tagore predicted that the whole world would become purified by namade Parikramā by remembering the past times of Vojitani Mahārāja. So I want to remind you of the first day of our parikuma. I believe it was Sila Rameshwar Swami who instructed us that every one of the devotees on this breakup us there as representatives of different people, of different devotees in different countries. To become enthusiastic, to become purified and inspired. To take that essence, that vibration of pure devotional service in their heart and spread it throughout the world.

As well as that by their being present, you may say as a representative or delegate at our world Nawazi Prikran and Śrīmayapur bin Dawban festival, that they may also benefit. So I would just like before we leave to request Suzaki bam. To give us the last thought to meditate on in this curriculum.

I am unqualified really to get any last thinking. Every year since the first 1974, I have been coming to this festival and seeing many devotees. So we should try to come here with the spirit of trying to understand about Senator Lord Caitanya Muhammad and make friends with the devotees that are here.

All over the world.

One thing I found is that I felt this power of association and benefit from coming to Māyāpur festival by this friendship that you can make with the devotees.

Because when you have some difficulty, it.

Is your friend who will help you. It is your friend who will pray for your benefit. It is your friend who will help you. What is it? Sacred thing. So like this, so many of our family and friends are coming here to Māyāpur at this international meeting. Try to take advantage of their association, make friends with them. Because spiritually speaking, this friendship, this spiritual.

Union with the devotees, this will help.

You to elevate your consciousness.

So.

Also there are so many great saintly persons here. Great empowered preachers of Lord Chaitan and Mahabharata mission. Take every word they’re giving you like spiritual nectar. And drink that nectar and you will become very purified.

And then you will have the power.

To preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness all over the world. Is there more to say?

I wanted to give a little prashad.

And I just wanted to explain that these deities are very significant.

These are 400, 5500 year old deities. The large deities are. They were established and worshiped by Basudev Dutta. You know that doctor Tabarak was the one who prayed to take any man who takes the sins of the whole world, the whole universe. And this to alone suffer all those sinful reactions and let everyone else go back home, back to garden and all changes. So these are Madame Gopal deities. The large deities on the our right. And here’s the son of them. The beautiful Sisi Raha Govinath these are the deities of Sisi Śrī and Morali Takur who I already explained something about their unlimited qualities. Siśrī Rabina Jiki and the Gorgirahar DC’s are established by one of God brothers Goswami Thakur.

On the left side there.

Nearby here there’s a temple. There’s a place where the house and temple of Asadev Raptor was. But it’s gold town. One of our hidden tirta excavation projects is to locate that place. We know where it is, but to secure it and to build something there for all time. So they just wanted to get a little prasada. How are they missing a. How are they going to give the prasad to the devil? Parshas. Very nice devotee in charge of this temple. He’s asked us to come here whenever last three years ago he came. He gave us Prushad spontaneously. So I would recommend them that everyone could take a darshan of the deity.

Pass through that corridor.
